It seems that Taylor Swift’s success just doesn’t stop for anything… she most likely has Kanye West to thank for that one, though, he’s the one that really rocketed her to fame. Her latest achievement is breaking Britney Spears’ record for best download debut by a female artist with her track “Today was a fairytale”. Apparently the song is also featured on the soundtrack of Taylor Swift’s acting debut, “Valentine’s Day”. Well, well, looks like the future belongs to Taylor Swift, doesn’t it? Kanye West is no longer the voice of the generation… that must steam him up a bit.
Kid Rock and Dave Grohl are doing like Taylor Swift and Gwen Stefani as the two rock stars have also decided to file a lawsuit against a small town bar for allegedly jacking their music. The two singers dropped a serious copyright infringement lawsuit on a Canton, Ohio watering hole called Mallonn’s Grill & Bar because the drinking establishment allegedly didn’t have the licensing it needed to play the tunes. Kid Rock and Dave now want the bar to pony up the money for damages and to stop playing their music immediately. Taylor, Gwen and Bon Jovi have filed similar suits against other bars across the country within the last month.
The singer who has had more than amazing accomplishments the last few months recently turned twenty. However, rather than just buy stuff for herself, Taylor Swift decided it would be cool to donate a quarter of a million dollars to schools she has had to deal with over the years. Taylor Swift explained her actions: “Something I wanted to do at the end of this amazing year and especially on my birthday was give back to something I really believe in, which is education. The schools that I went to and the amazing people I got to learn from really turned me into who I am, and I wanted to give back.” Aw, that’s so sweet of Taylor Swfit. Most assuredly the schools will use that money for noble purposes only and not squander it on petty trifles, just as it is always done.

Taylor Lautner has an interview with Rolling Stone covering all the usual topics – ‘New Moon’, bulking up and his career. But I’m sure that all of us were most interested in reading what the actor had to say about Taylor Swift. When asked point blank if he was dating the country singer, Taylor said “Possibly.” Way to play it coy! Taylor then goes on to talk about working with the blonde cutie on their new movie ‘Valentine’s Day’, saying “We got along great. We instantly clicked. And she’s — she’s an amazing girl. Aside from being beautiful, she’s extremely funny, charismatic and fun to be around, so we definitely got along. We’re close.”
New Moon star Taylor Lautner has dodged questions about his rumoured romance with Taylor Swift, but has admitted that they are “close” and that the country singer is “beautiful” and “amazing”.
The 17-year-old Twilight actor has filmed scenes with Swift in the upcoming romantic comedy, Valentine’s Day, but when asked if they had started dating after that, Lautner replied: “We got along great. We instantly clicked.
“She’s an amazing girl. Aside from being beautiful, she’s extremely funny, charismatic and fun to be around, and so we definitely get along.
“We’re close.”
The pair are reported to be dating, but neither will confirm or deny the rumours.
Lautner also revealed that despite his rock-hard physique he was bullied at school.
He said: “Because I was acting, when I was in school there was a little bullying going on.
“Not physical bullying, but people making fun of what I do…
“I just had to tell myself: ‘I can’t let this get to me. This is what I love to do. And I’m going to continue doing it.’”
Jon Bon Jovi and Gwen Stefani are following in Taylor Swift’s sports bar crushing footsteps as the two singers are suing a hometown drinking establishment for allegedly jacking their music. According to a lawsuit filed in Minnesota, several of the pop stars’ compositions were publicly performed at Sally’s Saloon & Eatery and they claim that the bar never got the licensing it needed. Now, Bon Jovi, Gwen and other people who own copyrights to their music want the bar to pay damages and stop playing their songs. A rep at Sally’s wasn’t even aware of the lawsuit which could mean big trouble for them.
At 19 years old, Taylor Swift rocked the Country Music Association Awards this past Wednesday by winning all 4 awards for which she was nominated and making her the youngest person and first female solo act to win the Country Music Association’s entertainer of the year award. The golden girl of a singer said “I’ll never forget this moment because in this moment everything that I have ever wanted has just happened to me. Every single person in that category let me open up for them this year. Thank you all so much. I love you.” Taylor brought her band on stage to help her celebrate and her father was shown crying in the audience. Congratulations!
The singer recently came up and admitted that she is terribly excited about hosting the famous Saturday Night Live show. Taylor Swift wrote the following on her twitter, “Starting the SNL process I kinda feel like I might have a heart attack or pass out in the pitch meeting. I’m that excited.” Taylor Swift probably has nothing to worry about… if she does pass out, Taylor Lautner will most likely be there to catch her. Or, to make matters more amusing, Kanye West will play the part of the human trampoline, after all, it is supposed to be a comedy show.
Sweet Dreams singer Beyonce has spoken out about the MTV Video Music Awards incident with Kanye West.
Kanye, 32, jumped on stage when Taylor Swift, 19, won the VMA for Best Female Video and said that Beyonce, who was also nominated, had “one of the best videos of all time”.
Beyonce recently attended Billboard magazine’s annual Women in Music event, where she was named Woman of the Year.
Beyonce said after accepting the gong: “Well, I knew his intentions, and I knew he was standing up for art; and he told me before, when they said the nominees, he’s like: ‘You have this award.’”
She added: “And when they didn’t call my name he was, like, completely shocked. And when he walked on the stage, I was like: ‘No, no, no!’ And then he spoke, and I was like: ‘Oh, no, no, no!’
“But in the end, it ended up being a great night, and Taylor Swift did get her moment – and I didn’t have to make an acceptance speech.”
Singer Taylor Swift is still confused as to why Kanye West pulled that stunt on her at the Video Music Awards.
The country singer, 19, thought she was an easy target for the rapper, 32, to humiliate.
Taylor told British newspaper the Daily Star: “I’ve forgiven him as I don’t want to start anything. I’d never met Kanye before, and was a fan.”
Taylor, who has sold millions of copies of her new album Fearless, has now got a lot more money but has still managed to stay grounded through all the craziness.
She said: “I think it’s crazy that as a star you get free stuff when you can afford it.
“I don’t spend a lot of money. My dad is a financial advisor and has given me a lot of advice.”
The love Story singer is set to return to the UK in November to perform in Manchester and London.
She added: “The fans in the UK have been amazing, so I can’t wait to get back.”
Jay Leno’s debut primetime show has fallen flat with reviewers, who panned it, while viewers gave it the apparent thumbs-up.
The show, which debuted on Monday night, drew the biggest audience – 18.4 million – for an entertainment show since the finale of American Idol.
Leno also had the good fortune of the Kanye West MTV gaffe falling into his lap for his debut show. He interviewed West about hijacking Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech at the awards.
Reviewers were united in saying the new show showed little departure from the old. USA Today called the show a “cut-rate, snooze-inducing, rehashed bore”.
“The future of The Jay Leno Show is likely to look almost exactly like The Tonight Show past. So much ink has been devoted to describing how Mr Leno’s new show would depart from his old one that it was startling to see how little difference there was,” said the reviewer for The New York Times.
