Christina Aguilera was sure of one thing when she had baby Max. There was no way she was giving birth naturally. As Nicole Richie was giving birth to baby girl Harlow on January 11, Christina was scheduling a C-Section for herself.

She said, “I didn’t want any surprises. I’d heard horror stories about vaginal tearing. I had heard horror stories of women going in and having to have an emergency C-Section anyway.”

She wanted things to be calm and peaceful, so she took matters into her own hands. The downside? The recovery….she said it was more painful than she’d expected and she ended up staying in the hospital for four days.

So, how many nurseries do you really need? Apparently, Jennifer Lopez’s twins will need several. She’s decorated her home on Long Island as well as homes in Bel Air and Fisher Island.

The twins will have a nursery decorated in an ocean theme. They will have their very own 18-karat gilded trim and chandeliers.

How much was the bill? Over $120,000. What a life to be born into!

Dixie Chick Martie Maguire has announced that she is pregnant with her third child with husband Gareth Maguire. The couple already has twin girls Eva Ruth and Kathleen Emilie, born in April 2004.

She says, “I’m very excited. We know what it is - it’s a girl.” She goes on to say, “We’ll have to move over and let the little chicks take over! We’ve got a new band!”

Congrats to new mom Christina Aguilera and pop Jordan Bratman. They welcomed baby boy Max Liron on Saturday night at 10:05 pm. This is their first child.

Their rep says, “Christina and Jordan are proud to announce the birth of their son Max Liron Bratman. He a beautiful, healthy baby boy!” He was 20.5 inches long and weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces.

Christina later posted on her webpage, “Today is a very joyful and special day for Jordan and I as we welcome our first son into this world.”

Jack Black will be all smiles again soon.

It has been announced that he and wife Tanya Haden are expecting another baby. The couple already has an eighteen month old son. They have been married since 2006.

Jack didn’t give any details except to confirm the pregnancy. Congrats to the happy couple!

Nicole Richie is about to give birth any moment now and Joel Madden sure is taking care of his baby’s momma. The Good Charlotte rocker was reportedly spotted at Tiffany’s in Pasadena on Sunday buying some ice that we hear is for a certain Nicole.

Now that they have a baby arriving soon, the couple are certainly taking their relationship up a notch. Though they have yet to say whether they are getting married, the two have officially and formally moved in together. A source says that “Nicole sold her West Hollywood condo. She and Joel are living full-time at his place now.”

Jennifer Lopez, who is five months pregnant, is said to be so freaked out by the amount of weight she has gained that she plans to follow in the footsteps of Victoria Beckham and hibernate for the last few months.

A source claims that the fact she has already gained 42lbs and her face has become very puffy from water retention that she wishes to put her career on hold until the baby is born in the spring. We won’t be seeing much of her from now on.

Oh to be able to hide from the world whenever you feel like it. Us normal expectant mothers have to go shopping for the imminent baby and every day things so the world can see how unattractive and whale like we have become.

Well at least I’m not carrying two; which it seems our J-Lo may be after being seen purchasing matching pink and blue outfits as well as requesting everything on the baby list in pairs.

When it comes to pregnant moms in Hollywood, the fad seems to be baring your baby bump in a magazine. Demi Moore did it, Britney Spears did it and now, Christina Aguilera bares it all for the ‘Sexy Mama’ cover article in the January 2008 issue of Marie Claire.

In the interview which accompanies her cover, she talks about pinpointing when she conceived, her pregnancy being a surprise, being pregnant while being on her ‘Back to Basics’ tour, her decision to not announce anything and her domestication.

It’s pretty clear that even though she’s going to be a mom soon, Christina still has some strong opinions regarding her image.
