Penn Barely Knew Ex-Wife Madonna

Actor Sean Penn insists that he hardly knew his ex-wife Madonna when he was married to her. He claims that he cannot remember having “a single conversation” with her. Ouch! He says, “She was a phenomenon, but nothing could have told anybody what would happen next. I describe that marriage as loud. That’s how I remember it. He was too busy smashing paps in the face and causing chaos with drunken rages that’s why he can’t remember. Madonna stuck it out for nearly five years and couldn’t deal with his temper anymore. Mr. Penn also did not like being referred to as “Mr. Madonna” or “that guy Madonna’s married to.” I remember that all too well and have just aged myself by mentioning it. Madonna once called Penn the love of her life. Too bad he doesn’t remember much! Penn and Madonna got married in 1985 at the peak of her career and divorced in 89.
