Pink Talks Vice Presidents

A lot of artists have been voicing out their opinions on the Republican Vice Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin. It’s Pink’s turn this time around. In a new interview, the rocker said “If I were writing a letter to Sarah Palin it would be a lot of whys and hows. Who are you? Do you know? Why do you hate animals? Please point out Iraq on a map … This woman hates women. She is not a feminist. She is not the woman that’s going to come behind Hillary Clinton and do anything that Hillary Clinton would’ve been capable of … I can’t imagine overturning Roe vs. Wade. She’s not of this time. The woman terrifies me.”

Barack Obama and Brad Pitt - Cousins!?

Barack Obama and Brad Pitt - Cousins!?

For those who didn’t hear it before, Joy Behar asked it for us on The View. She said to Barack Obama, presidential candidate, “I understand that you’re related to Brad Pitt, in some way.”

The claim was originally made by the New England Historic Genealogical Society, saying that Brad and Barack are distant cousins. They are related through a man named Edwin Hickman, who died in 1769 in Virginia.

Barack said, “I guess we’re ninth cousins, something, removed - or something. I think he got the better looking side of the gene pool.”

You have to admire his sense of humor!

Ben Affleck’s Obama Benefit

Ben's Obama Benefit

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have been using the Hollywood clout to push for Barack Obama as the next US President. Last night, the two hit a benefit in Boston.

Ben was all excited about this particular benefit. No, not because he got to check out Teresa Heinz all night, but because he was hanging out with regular people. Ben said, “This isn’t come $1500 a plate event for the elite.” Instead, plates were only $50, or $250 for VIP.

Insiders say Ben won’t dog Hillary Clinton. He says, “This isn’t about casting aspersions.” He also won’t answer any questions about his own possible political aspirations. Hmm, maybe it’ll be President Affleck in a few years.

WaWa’s Tired of Hearing the Celebrities

Barbara Walters

Barbara Walters is a pioneer for women in journalism. She paved the way for many who have followed in her footsteps. Perhaps she is most famous for being able to convince celebrities to bear their very souls in an interview.

Now she says she just won’t do it anymore. This news came just before her annual showing of “The 10 Most Fascinating People”. It aired Thursday on ABC. She says, “I am not going after the tabloid stuff, I don’t do it.”

She would not include Britney or Paris in this special, she says, “abandoning the week in, week out, competition for getting the next name, the next person out of rehab.” Instead she chose real newsmakers like former President Clinton, the creators of “MySpace”, and Don Imus.

Doesn’t she realize that we don’t care what these people might say about foreign policy or the war? We wanna know the dirt. We wanna see the rehab patients. They make us feel good about ourselves!! C’mon Babs, honey, retire already.

China wins Miss World

China wins Miss World

New found Chinese beauty Zhang Zilin won the Miss World contest. This was a first in all Chinese history and yet there wasn’t big fuzz around the country about it.Due to recent governmental issues and to the strict political regime Chinese people live in, the great achievement of the young Chinese woman was not over mediatized…if anything it was almost covered up. Newspapers reported the news with a small pictures on the bottom of their front pages, while the headline article was one about AIDS awareness…TV reports were scarce…The only place where her achievement was properly appreciated by her compatriots was her blog on the internet, hosted by SINA.com. There millions of visitors entered right after she was announced as the winner and all tried to post and congratulate her.

Clooney for President!

george_clooney_brad_pitt-photo.jpg
Can you imagine having George Clooney as our president? If Brad Pitt has anything to do with it, Clooney will be the next President of the United States. I don’t know about having Clooney run the country but he should run for Governor of California–hey if Schwarzenegger can pull it off so can Clooney. I could see Clooney as a governor or senator. But not President! We had one actor as President…that’s enough. I am not really sure that I would vote for him. It depends I guess on his political standpoint and views and also what he is running for. I think he should stick to acting and help out with issues on the side. There are many other ways that he could make a difference to our country, he can completely leave his acting career and become a social worker and help improve the many deficiencies that plague our country, you do not need to sit with the law makers to show you care, just do it and make a difference.

Elton John Slams George Bush Over AIDS

elton-john-photo.jpg

Elton John has attacked the U.S. Government’s AIDS effort, dubbing it a waste of time and money. Yes - abstinence should be taught at home but we teach sex ed. and evolution in schools so why is this any different. You know what I say - when we were allowed to pray in our public schools and read out of the bible the world was a better place - and I don’t remember hearing about AIDS then….I feel very sorry for those who have this disease inflicted on them in which it’s not their fault - that’s an awful thing BUT those with AIDS because of their homosexuality - this is God’s way of saying you are not leading the life that he wants you to. Those people I don’t feel sorry for. SORRY! As far as President Bush - I don’t agree with everything he has done either BUT we are to pray for our President NOT BASH HIM which I know is alot easier to do for some people.

Michael Douglas Backs Hillary Clinton

michael-douglas-photo.jpg

Actor Michael Douglas has offered his support for Hillary Clinton in the 2008 presidential election. Douglas is well-known in Hollywood for his liberal views and work with the United Nations. I never thought that Michael would be supporting a candidate just coz she’s the wife of a former US President and a current Senator. Let me speak my mind hear, Ever since Geroge W Bush has taken over as the President of the United States of America I think the US political affairs and its international image has gone for a toss and gone from bad to worse. American people deserve better leadership and if Hillary or Obama become the President next year it would certainly be a new low for the country. The world needs leaders who limit the use of weapons and wars and can combine world power to create a safer environment for us to live in. Mr. Douglas kindly stop campaigning for Hillary and choose the right person to lead America.
