Bret Michaels Didn’t Tell Doctors About American Idol Appearance

Posted on May 28, 2010 under American Idol, Performance | No Comment

I was thrilled to see Bret Michaels on the American Idol finale but he needs a stern talking to when it comes to his priorities. The rock singer who has had three back to back health scares apparently performed on the reality show without consulting his doctors and family. He said “The doctors, I didn’t tell them I was going to do this… To be honest, there’s still obviously a lot of pain I’m still experiencing … [but] I feel great… I’m running about 75 percent realistically, physically, but in my soul and my heart, I feel great. I needed to do this tonight, just to come here. It’s my first musical performance back… Later on, I may collapse, but right now, I feel great. I got on stage, first of all, the fans and friends and family were all here. It was such an awesome feeling to see everyone screaming and cheering and singing along with the song. I was like, ‘Hey, that’s three generations out there, that’s all I’ve wanted to do is have a great music career and to be able to do that, 20-some years later, that’s a great feeling. This was good for my soul.”

Bret Michaels to Undergo Surgery

Posted on May 27, 2010 under American Idol, Performance | No Comment

Bret Michaels has revealed that in the wake of his massive health scares, the rock singer will be letting his body relax for the summer. Once he’s no longer relying on any medications, he will deal with the latest issue, a hole in his heart, taken care of in the fall. Bret said “What they’ll do is they’ll go in and they’ll do the heart operation in the fall. They have to let everything clear out and then they’ll go in and do the operation in my heart and then I’m gonna be great. I don’t have any other options except to think that it’s gonna be great, it’s gonna be a smooth operation and I’m gonna feel awesome.” If he keeps that positive outlook, it wouldn’t take a long time for him to get to 100%.
Seeing Bret Michaels perform on American Idol I have no doubt

Crystal Bowersox’s rather unpleasant surprise

Posted on May 27, 2010 under American Idol, Lee Dewyze, Performance | No Comment

Even though the expectations war far from what actually went down and even though the Idol Meter seemed to indicate differently, Crystal Bowersox apparently had to settle for only second place at the end of American Idol’s final season. She had the better performances, even Simon Cowell said so, but America thought differently and so Crystal Bowersox is on her way to becoming this year’s Adam Lambert. Oh well, maybe she’ll get Lee DeWyze at the record sales, the day is still young as some would say. Simon Cowell is probably none too disappointed about leaving American Idol now since it seems his opinions might garner better consideration elsewhere.

American Idol Tim Urban is still in game

Posted on Apr 14, 2010 under American Idol, Performance, Simon Cowell | No Comment

By now it probably doesn’t come as too much of a surprise that American Idol contestant Tim Urban is still rolling with the big boys and he has managed to get into the top 9. It was Elves Presley night on American Idol and Tim Urban’s choice was “Can’t help falling in love” which he apparently did pretty well. Even Simon Cowell seems to have some sort of admiration for him now: “You have managed to go from zero to hero in two weeks. You’ve taken the advice really, really well from us. Congratulations.” It might just have been sarcasm, but even a bit of sarcasm from the Earl of Exigency goes a long, long way… and Tim Urban might not have that long a way to go. He’s probably saving the very best for the very last.

Lea Michele reveals nasty injury while filming new season of Glee

Posted on Apr 14, 2010 under Glee, Performance, TV Show | No Comment

Lea Michele revealed she suffered a nasty injury while filming a hotly anticipated scene in the new season of US TV show Glee.

While on the red carpet for the spring premiere party of the musical comedy-drama series, she told one reporter: “I can tell you my knee has a golfball-sized lump on it from my Lady Gaga dance today that we did. Hence the floor-length dress. It’s awesome.

“I give her so much credit for doing what she does. I mean, we did one number today and I was on the ground, drenched in sweat.”

According to perezhilton.com, Michele hurt her knee while doing an energetic dance to the Gaga hit Bad Romance.

Lea says it’s a huge musical number that features all the female cast members and Chris Colfer singing against all the male cast members in an epic choir showdown.

Chris Brown won’t be singing on Good Morning America

Posted on Nov 30, 2009 under Chris Brown, Performance | No Comment

That’s probably going to be a big sting on his revealing confessions. It seems that even though Adam Lambert’s performance was cancelled and replaced with an exclusive interview with Chris Brown about the events of February, the rapper will not be blowing anybody away with his singing… not that he has many thrilled fans lately, to be honest. Under these circumstances, Chris Brown might even call off the interview… after all, what’s a good sob story without some music to really start the tears. Maybe it’s better this way… no one would want the show to be called “Good Mourning America”.

AFI ROCK THE ROXY FOR CRASH LOVE RELEASE PARTY

Posted on Oct 02, 2009 under AFI, Album, LIVE, Performance, song | No Comment

To celebrate the release of their eighth studio album, Crash Love, AFI took to the stage at the world famous Roxy on Sunset thanks to local Los Angeles radio station KROQ. In front of an intimate crowd of hundred’s, rather than thousands that typically fill AFI shows, the band played a thrashing 14 song set filled with classics of the past, and a handful of Crash Love gems that are soon to be just that. Highlights of the night were too many to capsulize, but front man Davey Havok’s front flip into the waiting crowd on “Kill Caustic” and the stunning rendition of The Cure’s classic “Just Like Heaven” marked just a few of the moments that lit up the night. Reminiscent of 1995, AFI welcomed Nick 13 (Tiger Army) and Geoff Kresge (ex AFI/Tiger Army) to the stage to sing “Nyquil,” a track from the band’s first album, Answer That and Stay Fashionable. Electric performances of AFI’s radio singles “Miss Murder” and Crash Love’s “Medicate” put a cap on a night that will not soon be forgotten by the fan’s lucky enough to be present that night.

Fans of AFI who could not be at the show now have the chance to watch a handful of videos from the epic evening on KROQ.com. To find out when and where you can see AFI live, visit www.AFireInside.net/events. Crash Love is in-stores now and available everywhere good music is sold.

Hollywood studded with Emmy afterparties

Hollywood lit up with Emmy Awards after parties which saw celebs in their finery cutting it up into the small hours.

Mary J Blige performed at the Entertainment Tonight and People magazine after party. “Don’t forget how important we are. We are all in this together, whether we like it or not!” she said.

The party was held at the fabulous converted cathedral Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles.

Jon Cryer who won the award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, was spotted dancing. He was accompanied by his wife, Lisa Joyner. “That’s the great thing about having a driver. We’re going to get wasted in an incredibly short period of time. Give us 20 minutes here, and we’re moving on, wasted! We’re just going to say, `pull over’, barf, and keep going,” he said.

Guests included Emmy winner Toni Collette, Julie Benz of Dexter, David Boreanaz of Bones and sundry other starlets from Melrose Place and other Hollywood dramas.

Emmy host Neil Patrick Harris turned up to groove to Blige.

Others made The Governors Ball at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Alec Baldwin was spied with his best acting Emmy for comedy 30 Rock.

Debra Messing, who had on five-inch heels, was likely to have best summed it all up when she said: “My feet are killing me. I’ve been trying to figure out, strategise. How do I get to that chair to sit down?”

Rulers of the ice cream world Ben & Jerry and music icon Elton John have teamed up for charity. The ice cream makers are going to produce a custom flavor ice cream called ‘Goodbye Yellow Brickle Road’. It’s made of “an outrageous symphony of decadent chocolate ice cream, peanut butter cookie dough, butter brickle and white chocolate chunks.” Sounds yummy! Proceeds of the sales will be donated to the Elton John AIDS Foundation. In celebration of the partnership, Elton will perform in Vermont, the home state of the ice cream producers, next Monday. After that performance, Elton can officially claim that he’s played in all 50 of the United States.

American Idol Under the Influence

Simon Cowell lashed out at someone after David Archuleta’s performance last night and if you’ve been reading the news, then I’m sure you know who I’m talking about. On Tuesday’s performance show, Simon told David that “I don’t think that is you at all and I’d be amazed if you chose the song yourself.” Sources are saying that Simon is blaming the fiasco on David’s dad Jeff. Jeff is reportedly the worst stage dad ever. If he really wants his son to win, I’d suggest he just step out of the way. It looks like he’s causing more harm than good in David’s American Idol stint.

Paris Hilton - That's NOT Hot

Did you make it to the box office to see Paris’ movie “The Hottie and the Nottie”? Umm, me neither.

Apparently there weren’t all that many people who did. The romantic comedy starred Paris, Joel David Moore, and Christine Lakin. On Friday, the movie only brought in $9000 on 111 screens.

Seems like people were more ineterested in fools like Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey. Their movie Fools Gold brought in $7.65 million on 3125 screens.

Wheelin’ Through Spice Atlantic

Emma Bunton’s foot injury that she suffered at a concert in Las Vegas on Tuesday is throwing a wrench into the Spice Girls’ comeback plans. But as they say, the show must go on – even if it hurts.

Along with the show, promos are also going on. The ladies plus Emma’s crutches posed for photos at London’s Heathrow airport on Thursday as they christened the opening of the new Virgin Atlantic terminal. Emma got around by being pushed in a wheelchair.

But not all promo dates have been made, as Emma’s injured ankle has forced the band to pull out of a TV performance on the day of their first London show. I’m sure she was just asked to take it easy.

Britney Spears caught stealing…again!

Brit caught stealing…again!

Is there no end to the madness that follows Britney Spears? Accused of stealing a wig and four coats recently; it seems she may be loaded but she doesn’t appear to like paying for things. This time it was a lighter, from a petrol station.

Britney reportedly grabbed the lighter while exiting the store in Sherman Oaks, California, on Friday and was only alerted to her mistake by waiting snappers.

She responded: “Stole something? Oh, I’m bad!”

Ok the girl is finally losing it. Luckily the owner doesn’t want to press charges; happy to wait until she returns to the store and pays him back. He said: “Yes, Britney stole a blue lighter here last night. The lighter is $1.39. I’m hoping maybe the next time she comes back she will pay for it.

“I know she can afford to pay for it, but I’m not planning to file a police report. It’s still not right for her to steal the lighter.”

Hmmm something tells me that in the world of Britney Spears, doing the right thing is not priority right now.

Wanted: Tanning Tips for Lindsay

Ok, so we all remember The Parent Trap and know that Lindsay is a natural, freckle faced redhead. And we all know people like that burn easily, so it’s understandable that Lindsay would choose to go with a rub-on self tanner. But hello!!!

Before using such a product, you’d think she’d learn HOW to use it. Instead the actress turned singer turned criminal and rehab patient definitely got some looks while she was out and about on Friday. But they weren’t because of her blinding beauty.

Instead, people were blinded by the blaring white of her arms. And then confused when they saw the orange-tinted tan on her face and chest. She’s apparently forgotten to apply the lotion on her arms.

Ladies, take my advice. If you’re going to make yourself tan in the winter, make you WHOLE self tan. Before heading out to get her hair straightened, Lindsay could’ve used that advice.

Geez, this is like George Hamilton in reverse.

China wins Miss World

China wins Miss World

New found Chinese beauty Zhang Zilin won the Miss World contest. This was a first in all Chinese history and yet there wasn’t big fuzz around the country about it.Due to recent governmental issues and to the strict political regime Chinese people live in, the great achievement of the young Chinese woman was not over mediatized…if anything it was almost covered up. Newspapers reported the news with a small pictures on the bottom of their front pages, while the headline article was one about AIDS awareness…TV reports were scarce…The only place where her achievement was properly appreciated by her compatriots was her blog on the internet, hosted by SINA.com. There millions of visitors entered right after she was announced as the winner and all tried to post and congratulate her.

Britney’s Time

Britney’s Time- video

A typical big-budget mainstream music video takes about 2 or 3 days to film. But Britney Spears is attempting to do the impossible by wanting to do it in just 2 hours! The pop wreck is set to film a music video for her next single ‘Piece of Me’ of Tuesday, November 27. The shoot will start at 8 AM at the restaurant/lounge Social Hollywood which will feature Wayne Isham on the director’s seat. Wayne helmed the video for Brit’s 2002 hit ‘I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman’.

A source on the set tells Us Weekly that Britney has a scheduled visit with her kids on Tuesday and she will only be available to film for two hours, between noon and 2 PM which would explain why along with 15 extras, Britney also has a body double.

I don’t know why she even bothers.

Donny and Marie Back Together

It’s been a while since we all saw Donny and Marie Osmond take the stage together. But the celebrity siblings have announced that they are reuniting to perform together again for a show at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas from July 17-23, 2008. Donny told ET that he and Marie can hardly wait for it.

The two entertainers have been through an emotional year which brought them even closer together. This time brought them to the realization that it’s time to relive the magic of their days on their TV show but this time, with a touch of Vegas.
