And she has not too many fond words to say either. While giving an interview recently and praising Madonna, M.I.A thought she might take the opportunity to speak a few words of Lady GaGa. This is what she had to say: I can’t talk about GaGa anymore. All I’ll say is, it’s upsetting when babies say ga-ga now. It used to be innocent. Now, they’re calling her name. You can’t really say that GaGa is culturally a change. Madonna was truly unique.” M.I.A. is probably a bit more traditional by her nature… she flocks to the banners of the queen instead of those of one of the princesses. Oh well, no skin of Lady GaGa’s back… after all, she has “Glee”.
Actress Abbie Cornish has nothing but praise for Madonna as they prepare to make a new movie together.
Madonna, 51, is directing a new film about the abdication of Edward VIII, which will star Cornish and Vera Farmiga.
Talking about Madonna, Cornish said: “Madonna’s a strong, independent woman who doesn’t need a man to define her – and that’s admirable.”
She added: “She’s studied every aspect of what happened with Wallis Simpson and Edward VIII. It’s a fascinating insight into class and romance.
“Madonna’s created a contemporary woman – whom I will play – called Wally, who is fascinated by what happened to Mrs Simpson, and in a way, her story mirrors certain aspects of what happened decades before.”
It seems that Madonna’s boyfriend is starting off on the right foot in what might turn out to be a plane-crash of a career. Believe it or not, Jesus Luz apparently managed to sign himself a record deal… and with Warner Brothers, no less. This is what a source said about the model’s upcoming career… and Madonna’s involvement in it: “Madonna was determined to give Jesus all the help she can. She holds a lot of sway at Warners, where she had a deal until very recently. But getting him on the books wasn’t completely plain-sailing. There was a little give and take between her and execs, but a compromise was eventually settled upon.” This is probably just so as Madonna can make-up for the whole A-Rod thing. And so Jesus Luz goes from amateur DJ to Pop star. It’s all champagne and lap-dances from here on.
Though no one could care less about Jerry Seinfeld and his new show ‘The Marriage Ref’, it’s being said that a special upcoming guest star should pique everyone’s interest. And mine was definitely piqued! The Queen of Pop Madonna will be on the NBC show listening to married couples ramble about their problems and give them advice. I’m not entirely sure that she’d be the first choice for marriage counseling given her failed marriages and relationships but I am interested to hear what she says. Other guests slated to appear on the show are Ricky Gervais and Matthew Broderick. How do you think they would fare?
Jane Lynch, also known as Sue Sylvester on ‘Glee’, will be performing ‘Vogue’ for the show’s Madonna-centric episode. This is the first time that the actress will be singing on the show, unless of course an episode airs before this one where she sings. What a way to debut right? Jane talked about the performance saying “I’m going to be singing the song and doing a video for it. It’s going to be so much fun!” I can’t wait to see that performance. You can bet that she won’t be doing that song in a simple track suit. I wonder what the story tie in would be.
After her extremely, amazingly generous donation for relieving the victims of the earthquakes in Haiti, Madonna is not yet done with her part of helping as she will be performing on George Clooney’s telethon along with other great names of the musical industry. Hopefully this will encourage people to donate even more by themselves while Madonna simply puts on a free show… if it even is free. But who would dare actually ask to get paid to do a telethon? Well, the producers certainly… and maybe even Mariah Carey, but not Madonna. Never Madonna, she has to big a heart!
It looks like Gwyneth Paltrow might be coming to a decision soon about her marriage to Coldplay singer Chris Martin. Despite reports of the rock star being spotted kissing other women, the couple has yet to call it quits but many think that their marriage is on the rocks. One supporter of the actress leaving Chris is none other than Madonna. According to reports, the Queen of Pop thinks that with the right guidance, Gwyneth can have “the perfect divorce, with no squabbling and sharing the children equally.” A source adds “Whenever Gwyneth complains about problems with Chris, Madonna’s solution is she should leave him….Madonna has never liked Chris because he refuses to kiss her butt. The few times they’ve hung out together, their egos clashed big time.”
It seems the singer has become a bit bored with her own music and wants to “change” something. With that in mind, Madonna is all set and ready to go into making rap/rock songs for her next album. This is what she said about her upcoming materials: “It’s my production, turned into song structure – halfway between rap and electronic and whatever else I listen to.” Madonna singing rap… that’s probably going to turn some heads, but not in the direction she might hope. Oh well, she’s probably in that point of her career when, instead of making the smart decision and just walking away in the blaze of glory, she’s just going to keep the torch lit until the smoke begins to stink. Let the decline begin!

Madonna paid tribute to the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, during her ‘Sticky and Sweet’ concert tour which was held at London’s O2 Arena this past Saturday. It was the same venue where Michael was supposed to stage his comeback. During Madonna’s performance, an impersonator doing Michael’s moonwalk hit the stage. The Queen of Pop then told the crowd “Let’s give it up for one of the greatest artists the world has ever known.” The crowd went wild at that. And why wouldn’t they? It’s a great celebration of Michael’s life to continue to honor his work and contributions to the music industry.
Sacha Baron Cohen’s character Bruno launched another attack on superstar singer Madonna branding her a “total sl*t”.
The 37-year-old comic was in character at the recent UK premiere of his hit flick Bruno and launched another attack on Madonna.
He said, wearing leather hot pants and a bearskin hat, about the star: “She’s a total sl*t. Her gynaecologist will only inspect her over the phone these days.”
He also shocked fans by calling Peaches, 20, and sister Pixie, 18, “D-listers” and added: “I want to be the biggest Austrian superstar since Hitler.”
The former Spice Girl recently expressed her contentment with Madonna’s attempt of adopting the little Malawian girl. Melanie B said: “It’s easy for critics to knock celebrities who choose to adopt, but it’s a good thing that Madonna’s doing. Not only is she highlighting the plight of orphans in Africa, she’s also giving this little girl the chance of a better life.” Orphans in Africa are a plight? Moreover, why does Melanie B think that they even need to be highlighted… everyone knows about the orphans in Africa. Everyone has known about them for about a decade and a half now, and yet there is little being done to stop this “plight”.
Madonna’s attempt at a second Malawian adoption may have failed but she’s not going down without a fight. After a Malawi court ruled against the Queen of Pop’s adoption of 4-year old Mercy James last week, Madonna has put the wheels in motion for an appeal of the ruling. Madonna’s lawyer has already filed the notice of appeal regarding the ruling. The judge tried to explain her ruling last week saying “It is necessary that we look beyond the petitioner … and consider the consequences of opening the doors too wide. By removing the very safeguard that is supposed to protect our children, the courts … could actually facilitate trafficking of children by some unscrupulous individuals.”
The singer received this most honorific title from the animal rights organization PETA who are also quoted as saying the following about Madonna’s clothing choices: “When you see Madonna in fur, you realize why nobody has copied her style since 1984. We know she’s on the prowl for a young cur, but someone needs to tell Madonna that wearing fur doesn’t make you a cougar.” I like PETA’s choice of words, even though I doubt that Madonna is really looking for a young cur… she’d probably have no use for such a thing. It’s the big, old mammoths she’s probably interested in now.
Madonna’s ex and Lola’s dad, Carlos Leon, is speaking out to Hello! Magazine about the Queen of Pop’s recent split. Carlos Leon says “It is a bad situation for both Guy Ritchie and Madonna and I send them a lot of love and all the children involved. I think it is too early to say if the divorce will make things better or worse for the family.” Carlos also happens to think that Guy Ritchie is great saying that he “is the gent. He always treats me with respect. Of the film work of the two, I like Guy Ritchie better. He is incredibly talented as a director and producer and he inspires me.” Carlos also talks about his daughter saying “I speak to her every day. She is very talented, she gets that from her mum. She has had advantages I never had.
Louis Vuitton is known for featuring classy stars in its advertisement campaigns and their latest LV girl has proven she can indeed give the younger girls a run for their money even at the age of 50. Well, Material Girl Madonna does not look 50 at all in her Louis Vuitton photos. She in fact looked fabulous and classy! Or was that the effect of having the expensive Louis Vuitton bag at her side all the time?
Madonna has been having a roll lately, what with the approval of her divorce with Guy Ritchie several weeks ago and her successful “Sticky & Sweet” concert tour. Plus, her on-going affair with sporty Alex Rodriguez which is being lapped up by the press no matter how many denials they issue.

Madonna looks sultry in all of her photographs for the Spring/Summer 2009 collection of Louis Vuitton. The shots, which were taken by Steven Meisel (known for working closely with Madonna for her “Sex” book), are just a previous of bigger thinks to come in exchange for the millions allegedly paid by Louis Vuitton to showcase Madonna in its new ad campaign to include giant billboards.
Madonna was personally chosen by Marc Jacobs, the designer and creative director of Louis Vuitton, for the ad campaign after being blown away by the performance and energy exuded by Madonna in her Paris concert. The deal was reportedly done through text message in a span of five minutes.
While the celebrities are working hard to make millions by the day, the elegant ex-husband of Madonna has refused her offered money.
The divorce agreement between the 50-year old pop sensation Madonna and her 40-year old beloved hubby Guy Ritchie has been finalized with the father telling the mother of his children to keep all the money and give him the boys.
According to a source close to the family, Madonna will not be paying a single penny to the Guy Ritchie a father of her two boys, out of her US$500 million fortune, but the two sons will spend time with both of them.
Madonna’s soon-to-be former father-in-law John Ritchie is lashing out at the Queen of Pop through the British media. He is apparently not happy with Madonna’s outburst in her Boston concert where she dedicated the song ‘Miles Away’ and called out Guy for being emotionally retarded. Poppa Ritchie said “She’s being beastly. She is saying, ‘Did you ever love me?’ It goes back to a time when she fell off her horse and she’s blaming him for that. She’s calling him an emotional retard. When he’s being bashed by her it’s horrid.” I think this will just egg Madonna on to say more so I hope that’s all that Pops had to say. But then again, let the Madonna bashing continue!
Now with the upcoming divorce between the pop sensation Madonna and her director husband Guy Ritchie, new and interesting revelations are leaking everyday.
Purportedly, while guy Ritchie is concerned about his children’s future, ‘The Material Girl’ celebrated after her Boston show by reserving an entire floor of the Ritz Carlton for her tour members to party all night.
Ritchie is a concerned father and wants a division of the couple’s properties and a lump sum amount in divorce deal, but more importantly he wants the possession of his 8-year-old son, Rocco.
A source close to Guy Richie told the press, “The idea that he [Rocco] will be across the Atlantic from Guy most of the time is tearing him [Ritchie] apart.”
It is really tough for the kids to adjust, isn’t it? Let the time decide whether the little Rocco will grow up as a charming English lad or a funky youngster in United States.
