It looks like the British singer doesn’t have too much of a soft spot for people who think they need to drink in order to have fun. These were the words Leona Lewis had to say about such individuals: “I find some people’s attitude to drinking ridiculous. I think it’s so funny that people think you have to drink in order to have fun. It’s such a stupid mindset! A lot of my friends are like, ‘I need a drink to get on the dance floor!’ I don’t need that ‘help me to relax’ thing. If I’m around my friends then I can really relax and have a good time, that’s all I need. I don’t need alcohol.” It’s good to know that Leona Lewis doesn’t need alcohol to reduce her inhibitions… that way if she ever does anything stupid, she won’t have any excuse for it other than poor judgment.
Mariah Carey is planning to make her life into a stage musical. The only good news about all this is that she has the good sense to not play herself. The curvaceous singer does have someone absolutely fabulous in mind to play her though – Leona Lewis. An insider said “Mariah secretly likes the idea of Leona Lewis playing her. Not only is she exotic, she’s the only one who they reckon would be able to tackle Mariah’s eight-octave vocal range.” I wonder if the score will feature just Mariah’s music. If that’s the case, I’m pretty sure this won’t push through.
It seems that after nailing that big Avatar soundtrack, Leona Lewis has big plans for the future: a collaboration with Kings of Leon and Robbie Williams. This sounds more like an alliance than a simple get together and sing a bit thing. Here’s what a source said about Leona Lewis’ new intentions: “Leona is incredibly proactive. She knows exactly what she wants and where she’s heading and is thrilled with these developments. She loves Robbie and thinks he’s a real laugh – and the love-in is mutual. They’re just going to go in the studio and see what comes out.” Maybe a few kids will come out of the studio if they’re so mutually in love with each other. Then Kings of Leon can recruit them as roadies and groupies and the circle will be complete and everybody wins!
Leona Lewis is opening up more about the recent assault that she suffered through. The 24-year old singer recently explained that her tough upbringing helped her get through the ordeal. The X Factor alum told The Sun “When you grow up where I did you learn to move on. There was always some kind of craziness going on in my neighborhood. It’s horrible, no matter who you are, to be physically attacked by someone, but I’m not letting it worry me. I know it was an isolated incident. It’s just a shame it happened at all. I’m now trying to put it in the past and get over it. I’m a positive person and I try to look at the good side of everything.”
Even though she may still be a bit shaken-up by that so-called fan of hers attacking, Leona Lewis is apparently back on track as she now wishes to embrace her fears and embark on a world tour. This is what Leona Lewis said after performing in London recently: “I wasn’t nervous until I got to the side of the stage, then I started shaking. I felt it went so fast – and now I just want to do it again. I can’t wait to tour next year.” This goes out as a heads up for all Leona Lewis “fans” across the world… soon there may be a book-signing close to you!
