Osmonds Cancel Shows

Though she gave it her best effort to return to the stage, singer Marie Osmond and her brother Donny Osmond announced earlier this week that the remaining dates of their Las Vegas show have been cancelled. And it is completely understandable. Her rep explained “She needs to spend more time with her family. She’s still processing everything and it’s really rough on her.” Marie can take all the time she needs. I’m pretty sure that all her fans will still be there when the time comes that she feels she’s ready to return to the stage and performing. Stay strong!

Garth Brooks Sells Out

After Garth Brooks announced that he was coming out of his retirement and performing at the Wynn Las Vegas resort, tickets to the country singer’s first 20 shows sold out in less than five hours. I’m not surprised at all considering that Garth is one of the best selling solo music acts ever. Garth signed a five-year deal with Steve Wynn to perform 15 weeks of shows a year with the first one going down on December 11. The tickets cost $125 and that still doesn’t include all those pesky convenience charges. He better give his fans a good show if people are forking over that kind of cash in the crappy economy that we’re all in.

Dr. Murray Link Found at Pharmacy Raid

According to a new report, Dr. Conrad Murray was proven to have bought Propofol, the drug that killed Michael Jackson, from a Las Vegas pharmacy that was searched last week by the DEA. The DEA searched the pharmacy for documents, computer hard drives, prescriptions and shipping information of controlled substances that may have been given to the King of Pop. A law enforcement official claims that evidence was uncovered at Applied Pharmacy Services that links Dr. Murray to some of these substances. The pharmacy is also said to be a home infusion pharmacy, meaning they specialize in home treatments. It’s an interesting link as the home that the singer was found in was said to have looked like a hospital with all the medical equipment they found.

Bob gives Peaches blessing..as hubby bans her from gig

Sir Bob Geldof has finally given his blessing to rebel daughter Peaches’ quickie marriage to a US rocker. But as the wild-child, 19, cleared the air with her dad, it emerged that her new hubby tried to ban her from his UK tour this weekend.

Peaches wed Max Drummey, 23, in Las Vegas — after telling Live Aid legend Sir Bob just before.S he faced the music by flying out from London to meet him in Majorca, where he is on holiday with younger daughter Pixie, 17.

After days of angry rows, they were seen airing their differences over her whirlwind romance at a tapas bar in Deia, near to the family’s rented $8million villa.

An onlooker said of Tuesday night’s showdown: “They arrived with Pixie and sat quietly at a corner table on a private terrace. They ordered some vegetarian tapas, but you could tell things were tense because Pixie seemed to be doing a lot of the talking. But after a couple of drinks the atmosphere warmed up and Bob and Peaches were speaking very intensely together. He told her everything was OK and he would support her. Peaches started beaming from ear to ear.”

Sir Bob, 56, and his daughters spent nearly two hours inside Xelini’s — one of Deia’s most popular restaurants and haunt of visiting celebs.

Peaches, who was wearing her wedding ring, and Pixie later went to the nearby Sa Fonda bar. A source said: “Peaches looked like a weight had been lifted from her shoulders. Although Bob was furious about the wedding at first, he’s hugely protective of her and loves her very much — and it was hugely important to Peaches to have his blessing. The meal was a massive breakthrough before Bob meets Max for the first time.”

But back in the UK Peaches was forced to contact gig promoters to get tickets to see Max’s US band Chester French perform this Saturday. Pals claimed her new hubby has been “embarrassed” about all the attention since the wedding and wanted to avoid a public reunion with his wife at the London gig.

A source said: “Max didn’t really want her there. He wants the UK tour to pass without too much attention on him and Peaches. But she sorted out tickets another way so she’ll be there. He wants to sort out where they go from here in private. But she’s got her way, as usual.”

Fergie Engaged

I am very pleased to have some happy news at this time of year. All around us is drug abuse, machete attacks and under-age pregnancies but in the midst of it all some people are still living normal lives.

Black Eyed Peas singer, Fergie, has announced her engagement to long-term boyfriend Josh Duhamel. Despite previously stating she was in no rush to get married as she already felt like she and Josh were married, it has been confirmed that the couple got engaged ‘recently’ but no one will reveal whether ‘Las Vegas’ star Josh popped the question on Christmas Day.

How romantic. The couple have been dating for three years and Fergie was recently quoted saying “We’re practically married. I’m madly in love with him. He understands how to treat a woman and gives me respect.”

Excellent news it’s so good to see a happy celeb…

Wheelin’ Through Spice Atlantic – Spice Girls

Emma Bunton’s foot injury that she suffered at a concert in Las Vegas on Tuesday is throwing a wrench into the Spice Girls’ comeback plans. But as they say, the show must go on – even if it hurts.

Along with the show, promos are also going on. The ladies plus Emma’s crutches posed for photos at London’s Heathrow airport on Thursday as they christened the opening of the new Virgin Atlantic terminal. Emma got around by being pushed in a wheelchair.

But not all promo dates have been made, as Emma’s injured ankle has forced the band to pull out of a TV performance on the day of their first London show. I’m sure she was just asked to take it easy.

Pamela Anderson Says No Reality TV

Despite her love for the cameras, Pam says she’s not signed up to star in a reality show with her husband Rick Solomon. Rumors were flying that they were going to allow us to watch their newlywed life. Umm, as if I want to?!She says on her website that she’s toyed with the idea, only to show people what it is like to be in a Vegas stage production and create a show. Pamela has been starring in Han Klok’s magic show in Sin City. One thing’s for sure, though – she’d never include her children.

She says this, “The choices I have to make now are about quality of life. And meaning: Not about money or fame for no good reason.”

Donny and Marie Back Together

It’s been a while since we all saw Donny and Marie Osmond take the stage together. But the celebrity siblings have announced that they are reuniting to perform together again for a show at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas from July 17-23, 2008. Donny told ET that he and Marie can hardly wait for it.

The two entertainers have been through an emotional year which brought them even closer together. This time brought them to the realization that it’s time to relive the magic of their days on their TV show but this time, with a touch of Vegas.

Rap mogul Jay-Z is convinced Britney Spears Can still make a come back

“Look at Mariah Carey; she had one of the hugest comebacks in musical history. So, you can’t rule anyone out.” Rap mogul Jay-Z is convinced Britney Spears can put her troubles and a terrible MTV Video Music Awards performance behind her and stage a comeback. I personally do not like Britney Spears any longer but when a star singer like Jay-Z says something positive about another singer who’s virtually as good as finished then I’d say that either he’s being out right bold on backing her or he’s lost his mind completely. What ever is the case I must admit that after a long time I have heard/read that someone, some bloody damn person is still backing her to come good and though as I said I don’t like Britney, I wish she comes back with a vengeance and proves all and sundry wrong and makes everyone eat their own words. All this because I love an underdog who can displace the king of his own throne!

Kid Rock Cited for Battery

The cops found Kid Rock and subsequently cited him for misdemeanor Tommy Lee after he allegedly decked Tommy Lee at the MTV VMAs.

The rap-rocker and fellow Pamela Anderson ex got the citation from police after they showed up to the Palms Hotel and Casino after 10PM looking for Kid Rock. Officer bill Cassell spoke with the AP and witnesses to the incident, which included MTV VJ Sway and rap producer Rich Nice.

They didn’t detain Kid Rock though and even let him stay for the rest of the show while Tommy, who was on the receiving end, got escorted out.
