Her latest achievement is breaking Britney Spears’ record for best download debut by a female artist with her track “Today was a fairytale”. Apparently the song is also featured on the soundtrack of Taylor Swift’s acting debut, “Valentine’s Day”. Well, well, looks like the future belongs to Taylor Swift, doesn’t it? Kanye West is no longer the voice of the generation… that must steam him up a bit.

Sweet Dreams singer Beyonce has spoken out about the MTV Video Music Awards incident with Kanye West.
Kanye, 32, jumped on stage when Taylor Swift, 19, won the VMA for Best Female Video and said that Beyonce, who was also nominated, had “one of the best videos of all time”.
Beyonce recently attended Billboard magazine’s annual Women in Music event, where she was named Woman of the Year.
Beyonce said after accepting the gong: “Well, I knew his intentions, and I knew he was standing up for art; and he told me before, when they said the nominees, he’s like: ‘You have this award.’”
She added: “And when they didn’t call my name he was, like, completely shocked. And when he walked on the stage, I was like: ‘No, no, no!’ And then he spoke, and I was like: ‘Oh, no, no, no!’
“But in the end, it ended up being a great night, and Taylor Swift did get her moment – and I didn’t have to make an acceptance speech.”

The star boarded a plane within an hour of the MTV Video Music Awards for a 18-hour flight to Melbourne, for the Aussie leg of her I Am… tour.
West embarrassed the star when he grabbed the mic from singer Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech at Sunday night’s awards in New York, to say that Knowles should have won the award for best female video instead.
Jay Leno’s debut primetime show has fallen flat with reviewers, who panned it, while viewers gave it the apparent thumbs-up.
The show, which debuted on Monday night, drew the biggest audience – 18.4 million – for an entertainment show since the finale of American Idol.
Leno also had the good fortune of the Kanye West MTV gaffe falling into his lap for his debut show. He interviewed West about hijacking Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech at the awards.
Reviewers were united in saying the new show showed little departure from the old. USA Today called the show a “cut-rate, snooze-inducing, rehashed bore”.
“The future of The Jay Leno Show is likely to look almost exactly like The Tonight Show past. So much ink has been devoted to describing how Mr Leno’s new show would depart from his old one that it was startling to see how little difference there was,” said the reviewer for The New York Times.

An Illinois trust company is giving Kanye West a very unwelcome reminder of his mom’s death as they are demanding upwards of $600,000 to settle the mortgage on her condo. According to the creditor’s claim, the late Donda West owed more than $600,000 plus interest when she died and they now want to get it back. They’re targeting Donda’s estate, for which Kanye is the co-executor, to get their money. Donda died late last year with less than $250,000 in cash and no will. It looks like Kanye may have to fork over some of his own cash so he can let his mother’s issues die in peace.
Kanye West has something to celebrate about with the triumphant success of his new ‘Glow in the Dark’ tour. But the rapper also has something to bring him down to earth as reports say that he and his fiancé Alexis Phifer have split. An insider told US Weekly that “Kanye is possessed by the tour and everything going on and just couldn’t keep it going. They are still friends and have broken up and gotten back together before, so it could work out.” If that is the case, Kanye really won’t have any time to grieve the loss of the relationship. It seems like the reason behind the death of rapper Kanye West’s mother following a plastic surgery operation will forever remain a mystery. The Los Angeles coroner’s office has released their findings on Thursday on the death of Dr. Donda West and they say that she died of “coronary artery disease and multiple post-operative factors due to or as a consequence of liposuction and mammoplasty.” However, it was also stated that there was no sign of “surgical or anesthetic misadventure” and that “the final matter of death could not be determined.” It looks like that shady doctor is going to be off the hook.
Rapper Kanye West is in mourning after his mother Dr. Donda West suddenly passed away in Los Angeles on Sunday. The 30-year-old was in London when he heard the tragic news and immediately ditched his commitments to catch a plane back to the U.S., according to reports. I am sorry to hear that Kanye’s mother has passed on but knowing that they had such a close relationship, I hope will give him some comfort to help him during this time. I will keep him and his family in my prayers tonight. Also he should derive strength from the fact that since he and his mother shared a close relationship, he should remember the good times and feel happy that he had the blessings of god that he had the chance to spend good time with her even after becoming famous or else most celebrities forget their parents and lead a life away from them.
