Alexis Jordan is the newest artist on Jay-Z’s label Roc Nation. The 17-year old singer was born in Columbia, South Carolina and she has Puerto Rican, African American, Native American and European ancestry. Her first single is called ‘Happiness’ and in it, Alexis belts out a dance song about self-joy and empowerment. She said of her music “I want to be really positive, no cussing, none of that. I’m a young artist and I want to be a role model. A lot of songs are upbeat, and some are ballads. There’s a little bit of that country vibe in it, and a little bit of that reggae vibe. My album really has everything.”
Singer Beyonce has said she wants a ‘whole bunch of kids’ but not right now.
The 28-year-old star, who recently picked up six awards at the Grammys, is married to rapper Jay-Z and she said she wants a whole brood of children one day.
Asked about children, she said: “Well, I’m an ambitious woman, and when I do anything, I do it really hard.
“If I work out, I work out really hard, and if I love somebody, I love them all the way.
“I’m very loyal. I want a whole bunch of kids – but after I’ve got certain things out of my system first.”

Beyoncé Knowles has arrived in Australia and has been keeping silent about the recent Kanye West video awards controversy – but wearing a T-shirt bearing the name of her rapper boyfriend, Jay-Z.
The star boarded a plane within an hour of the MTV Video Music Awards for a 18-hour flight to Melbourne, for the Aussie leg of her I Am… tour.
West embarrassed the star when he grabbed the mic from singer Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech at Sunday night’s awards in New York, to say that Knowles should have won the award for best female video instead.
The star tours Australia until 24 September.

A Detroit Beyonce fan named Robert Williams was arrested in Connecticut after driving erratically and nearly hitting a police car. One of the things he told the cops was that Mrs. Jay-Z was waiting to meet him on the George Washington Bridge. According to a police report, the hardcore fan nearly hit a police car, asked an officer for directions to Detroit then drove over a sidewalk and grassy area. The cops also noted that the man had flowers and a teddy bear in his car. The guy even asked the police if they were escorting him to New York City as Beyonce agreed to meet him.

So, you can’t rule anyone out.” Rap mogul Jay-Z is convinced Britney Spears can put her troubles and a terrible MTV Video Music Awards performance behind her and stage a comeback. I personally do not like Britney Spears any longer but when a star singer like Jay-Z says something positive about another singer who’s virtually as good as finished then I’d say that either he’s being out right bold on backing her or he’s lost his mind completely. What ever is the case I must admit that after a long time I have heard/read that someone, some bloody damn person is still backing her to come good and though as I said I don’t like Britney, I wish she comes back with a vengeance and proves all and sundry wrong and makes everyone eat their own words. All this because I love an underdog who can displace the king of his own throne!
