Lindsay Lohan managed to escape jail

Posted on May 21, 2010 under Jail Sentence, Lindsay Lohan | No Comment

It cost her 100, 000 dollars, but she did it. Even though the judge did issue an arrest warrant with her name on it, Lindsay Lohan managed to post the bail for herself, even though she’s still in Cannes and only managed to solve her passport problems yesterday. It was a close call, and a reasonable loss, but Lindsay Lohan’s new movie should cover for it. But there is still the matter of who is to blame for all of this… Lindsay Lohan has found someone to point the finger at: her father, Michael Lohan who apparently had this to say about the accusations: “I don’t know if she needs rehab or a psych ward. She’s got to be out of her mind to say something like that. It’s ridiculous. It’s very hurtful.” It is a bit of a stretch… but then again, this is Michael Lohan we are considering so the concept of “crazy enough to be true” might just apply here.

Phil Spector to release new album from behind bars

Phil Spector is set to release an album he worked on with his wife from behind bars.

The legendary music artist has produced a disc of tracks with his wife, Rachelle Short, and it’s set to go on sale on June 10.

The as-yet-untitled album was put together prior to his sentencing last June, when he was convicted for the 2003 murder of actress Lana Clarkson at his Alhambra home in California.

In an interview with New York Daily News’ Rush & Molloy column, former Playboy model Short said: “I do lead vocals. My husband is so proud of me and I’m so proud of him for withstanding what he’s withstanding.”

Spector is currently less than a year into his sentence of 19 years to life.

DMX Didn’t Mean It

Posted on Feb 03, 2009 under DMX, Jail Sentence | No Comment

DMX is so out of his mind if he thinks that we’re going to believe that he didn’t mean to commit identity fraud. He checked into an Arizona hospital under a false name and then left without paying the bill for crying out loud! The rapper says he used the alias to avoid receiving any special attention and that he gave the receptionist his cell phone number before leaving so they could make arrangements for payment. Like the court will believe that! DMX is currently awaiting sentencing for 4 accounts of animal cruelty, drug possession and theft in 3 separate cases.

Heather Locklear arrested

Some people say that the name has a major effect on the personality of the person.

Whether it is right or wrong, but Heather Locklear is “Locked” behind bars by police in Montecito.

At least there are some effects of the name on the personality. Is it the locking effect or mere coincidence?

The former “Melrose Place” actress was arrested while she was driving under the influence of a controlled substance at around 8 PM.

The gorgeous 4-year-old lady was released after she was bailed out for US$5,000 later at 11 PM.

Heather Locklear recently checked herself into rehab to fight her ongoing depression and left the rehab centre in late July.

Anne Hathaway was an informant to the FED

Posted on Sep 23, 2008 under Actress, Jail Sentence | No Comment

Since Raffaelo Follieri’s arrest it has been speculated that Anne Hathaway was an informant to the FEDs which eventually led to his arrest. But according to TMZ this is not true. It was his Raffaello’s assistant who sang like a canary:
As a federal affidavit demonstrated, a Follieri assistant told investigators about a safe where Raffa kept documents. The feds then seized the safe in his $37,000-per-month apartment.
I don’t know what this really says about Anne Hathway as a person, but you would have to admit that at least we know she’d make an awesome Mafia girlfriend.
On top of that, she will be willing to pay your rent if you can’t.

Sean’s been nicked

Posted on Jul 28, 2008 under Jail Sentence | No Comment

Screen tough guy Sean Bean spent six hours in custody yesterday following his arrest on suspicion of domestic assault.

The heart-throb actor was escorted to a police station after wife Georgina called cops during a row.

She claimed the Lord of the Rings star, 49, grabbed and assaulted her in the bust-up at their $4 million townhouse.

The couple’s tempestuous relationship also saw them both bloodied and bruised after a boozy hotel fight two years ago.

One source said of the latest episode: “There was a lot of shouting and hollering and Mrs Bean rang 999 and told the operator she was being attacked. There were no punches or kicking and nothing really nasty. It was pushing and shoving, but she clearly felt threatened. He was arrested and taken to the nearest custody suite at Holborn. He denied being a wife batterer and said it was a domestic row that got out of hand. He was released on bail and Mrs Bean later called up to say she was no longer prepared to continue the case. There was no other evidence to prove assault and there was no option but to drop it.”

Sheffield-born Bean, a Bond villain in 1995 flick Goldeneye, was set free just after 6am.

After actress Georgina, 29, dropped the assault claim, cops told him he was no longer required to report on bail next month — and that no further action was being taken.

Bean is said to have been “tired and emotional” when the row with fourth wife Georgina erupted shortly before midnight on Thursday.

Yesterday the couple put on a show of unity at their home in Belsize Park, North London. Georgina said: “Everything is OK. Sean and I are at home together enjoying the sunshine. He was arrested. Everything was blown out of proportion. The police held him quite a while, but Sean is fine and I’m fine. There’s no problem between us.”

Bean, on a break from filming Sharpe on location in India, said simply: “I’m fine.”

He and Georgina wed in February — after postponing a January ceremony. Bean’s three daughters were bridesmaids.

A police spokesman said: “Police were called to a residential address. A male was arrested. He was subsequently informed no further action was being taken against him.”

Amy Winehouse picks up love bite on visit

I would love to know how Amy Winehouse was allowed to get a dirty great love bite on her neck during a prison visit.

The singer emerged from seeing husband Blake Fielder-Civil in jail looking like she’d had a tussle with a vampire. If they can get close enough to suck blood, what extra little gifts could they be sharing?

Enough said.

Foxy Brown may have gotten out of Rikers Island but her legal troubles aren’t over yet. She still has to face battery charges in Florida. Unfortunately, her hotshot lawyer just bailed on her. Fred Haddad, said that while he was prepping to get Foxy off in what he thought of as on open-and-shut case, someone on her New York legal team tried to cut a deal with Florida prosecutors. He immediately quit after finding out how Foxy tried to go backdoor on him. Now, the rapper has to go to Florida on May 8 with new counsel and didn’t get the plea deal.

Amy Winehouse faces Life in Jail

Amy Winehouse faces Life in Jail

It seems our troubled Amy Winehouse may have gone a little too far this time after police quiz her in connection with the suspected conspiracy to clear husband Blake Fielder-Civil on a GBH charge.

What’s even more worrying is that Amy is said to have made a suicide pact with husband Blake; saying that if they both receive large prison sentences they would rather die than be apart.

Scary. This is in a long line of evidence that the distraught diva is losing control. If police can connect her to the £200,000 plot then she faces a life sentence. Ouch. Watch this space…

Idol Shot Down by Troops

Idol Shot Down by Troops

It looks like American Idol wannabe Jessica Sierra wouldn’t be doing any patriotic duties for Christmas. The pro-troop organization Move American Forward wants nothing to do with the currently jailed fallen idol. Pfft. No surprise there.

Jessica previously posted on her official website that she would be doing a holiday tribute concert for the troops arranged by MAF. However, since her arrest, the organization’s VP issued a statement regarding Jessica saying “It is quite obvious that Ms. Sierra needs to devote a great deal of time to putting her life back together. We wish Jessica Sierra all the best in her path towards overcoming her addictions, but that path does not include participation in the ‘A Song for Their Service’ concert.”

Foxy in the Hole

Posted on Oct 25, 2007 under Celebrity, Foxy Brown, Jail Sentence, LifeStyle, Music Artist, Personal Thoughts | No Comment

At least Foxy Brown has been able to engage in her usual pastimes while behind bars.
The Ill Na Na rapper was relegated to 76 days of solitary confinement on Oct. 16 after scuffling with another inmate and exhibiting behavioral issues at Rikers Island, where she’s currently serving a year for probation violation. This idiot goes to jail for her “explosive behavior” and not following the judges orders. Hmmm, sound familiar? If she’s going to be disruptive while she’s in JAIL, she deserves solitary confinement. When she does get out, she’ll probably go right back in and that’s where she belongs until she doesn’t learn to control her temper. This dumb girl so called stupid full time singer needs a psychiatrist, and also a few horse tranquilizers. Hey! If it’s good enough for Paris Hilton, then it’s certainly good enough for Foxy Brown. Makes me want to gag just saying her name.

Die Hard Director with a Sentence

John McClane never goes down without a fight. And neither is director John McTiernan.
An attorney for the Die Hard director was vowing an appeal after the filmmaker was sentenced Monday to four months in prison for lying to an FBI agent investigating Hollywood private investigator Anthony Pellicano. Ha-ha, making all those unreal and lies in all his movies and then asking the screenplay writer to makes scenes in which the hero gets away or the bad guy gets away with telling a lie and bombarding which tallest American building and then stealing $140 billion of the coffers. This where he got the thought that if he could do it in his movies and the crowds love those scenes then he too could get away with telling lies to the FBI agents. He couldn’t realize that there exist a vast difference between reel life and real life. Four months will teach him something about real life and the FBI too.

Spector jury locked in 7-5 impasse

The judge in Phil Spector’s murder trial said he is considering giving jurors the option of finding the record producer guilty of a lesser charge than second degree murder after the panelists reported a 7-5 impasse following seven days of deliberations.

Spector’s defense team was expected Wednesday to vigorously oppose Superior Court Judge Larry Paul Fidler’s expected proposal to help jurors break their deadlock, while legal scholars said a conviction on lesser charges could be vulnerable to appeal.

phil-spector.jpg

Spector, 67, a music legend, is charged with murdering actress Lana Clarkson in his Alhambra mansion on Feb. 3, 2003, a few hours after she met him at her job as a nightclub hostess and went home with him.

The defense maintains Clarkson, 40, was depressed and shot herself in the mouth either on purpose or by accident.

The jury foreman, a 32-year-old civil engineer, told the judge that he saw little hope of resolving the impasse and indicated jurors were in disagreement about facts in the case, not about the law.

“I believe it comes down to the individual jurors’ conclusions that are drawn from the facts,” said the foreman. “At this time I don’t believe that anything else will change the positions of the jurors, based on the facts that are in evidence.”

He said the panel had taken four votes before reporting the deadlock.

The judge, clearly troubled by the prospect of a hung jury after five months of trial, told jurors he might give them some new instructions, or even have attorneys reargue part of the case.

Legal experts said Fidler would be risking appellate disapproval if a conviction was obtained after adding involuntary manslaughter as an option.

“He’s certainly taking a gamble that the defense won’t be able to make a plausible argument on appeal,” said Jody Armour, a law professor at the University of Southern California.

Fred Durst pleaded no contest to seven misdemeanors, including assault, battery and reckless driving, for deliberately hitting two people with his car.

William Fred Durst, 37, entered the pleas Aug. 16 and was handed a suspended 120-day jail sentence, ordered to perform 20 hours of community service and fined $1,500, according to Superior Court documents.fred-durst-photo.jpg

The documents, first obtained by CelebTV.com, also show the Limp Bizkit lead singer was slapped with a restraining order saying he cannot “annoy, harass, strike, threaten or otherwise disturb the peace” of the two victims, whose names weren’t disclosed.

Durst must stay at least 100 yards away from the victims and he cannot possess a firearm.

A telephone message left with The Firm, the Beverly Hills representatives for Durst and Limp Bizkit, wasn’t immediately returned.

Durst allegedly hit the two Los Angeles residents with his vehicle Oct. 26, 2006, according to the documents. Misdemeanor charges filed in January included two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, three counts of battery, one count of making a criminal threat and one count of reckless driving.

There were no details about the incident.
