Demi Lovato recently celebrated a big event in her life – the Disney actress/singer just turned 18 years old! While it’s usually the birthday girl who gets the gifts, Demi decided to give back to those who brought her into this world and ended up buying her parents a house. While at her party in New York City, Demi told sources the big news, saying “I just bought a house. For me to give [that] to my family on my birthday, that was the best present. It’s the most beautiful, homey-feeling house. I love it.” I wonder what she’ll buy when she turns 21.

Miley Cyrus and her parents are most likely getting some heat from Disney due to her topless shoot for Vanity Fair. While the 15-year old teen star has been quiet on leaked pictures of her in provocative poses, she is speaking out on her magazine photos. Miley said “I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed. I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.” If you get to read the mag, she says otherwise. Disney was also critical of the magazine saying “Unfortunately, as the article suggests, a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines.”

You know you’ve really made it big at 14 years of age when Oprah invites you on her show. Disney star Miley Cyrus of the popular show Hannah Montana was a guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show and talked about dating… with her dad sitting right beside her!
When asked about whether Miley was allowed to date, Miley said that she was allowed but that her dad acts weird about it. She told a story of how when a guy visited her at home, her dad was standing in the kitchen looking out at them with the dog right beside him. Billy Ray Cyrus tries to play it off and said that he wasn’t spying but Oprah knew otherwise.
Miley then capped off the show by singing ‘The Best of Both Worlds’.
