It seems the former band now has a copyright-infringement lawsuit on their hands and Kelly Rowland blames Beyonce’s father, Matthew Knowles, for the situation created. This is what a source said about Destiny’s Child’s new little problem: “Matthew has a long history of trying to get songwriters to add Beyonce’s name to songs she didn’t compose, just so she gets publishing royalties. That information eventually became widely known, and now anyone who wants to accuse Kelly or Destiny’s Child of stealing material has ammunition to file a lawsuit. Kelly is livid.” Well, well, looks like Beyonce is going to have one very spicy reunion with her old band mates. Oh, what fun and joy that will be!
To the surprise of viewers, Simon Cowell stepped in to save The X Factor act, Jedward.
Jedward, the twins John and Edward Grimes, got the vote of Cowell, who had previously panned them. Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole, meanwhile, had voted to save rival act Lucie Jones.
Co-judge Louis Walsh had voted for Jedward, who are deemed terrible by even the nation’s prime minister, Gordon Brown. Their fate rested with Cowell.
He said after their performance of Rock DJ: “Who would I like to see again? I would probably prefer to see the boys again. I’m going to let the public decide.”
The twins’ performance got much booing from the crowd. But Cowell, who two weeks ago lamented the public’s support for Jedward, reasoned: “We have to forget the past and make the decision based on the best performance tonight.”
He earlier said: “To be fair, we put them in a competition where it’s a public vote, and we have to live, unfortunately, with the public vote. If they win, it will be a complete and utter disaster. I’d probably sulk for about six months and I’d get on a very fast plane out of the country.”
Country singer LeAnn Rimes and boyfriend Eddie Cibrian are still going strong, according to reports.
The pair were recently spotted going to the gym together, and Cibrian was then seen watching Rimes’ performance at the Lancaster Performing Arts Centre in Lancaster, California.
Both Cibrian, 36, and Rimes, 27, recently announced that they were divorcing their respective partners.
The singer was married to Dean Sheremet, 28, and Cibrian was married to his wife Brandi Glanville, 36, for eight years.
Sheremet and Glanville have been supporting each other through their shock break-ups.
An insider said: “They have been supporting each other.
“They’re the ones who understand what the other is feeling.”
Bianca Jagger and an Austrian millionaire who found a ring she lost, have moved toward settling a dispute over a reward she refused to pay.
The ring is worth 200,000 euros. Reinhard Ringler will suspend the lawsuit he filed against Jagger to finalise a deal over the unpaid 10,000 euro reward, said his lawyer, Paul Kreuzberger.
Austrian law mandates that Jagger pay Mr Ringler five per cent of the ring’s value. The two parties now have a three-month cooling off period to work out a settlement.
Jagger claims Ringler took too long to return the platinum and aquamarine ring, which she had designed herself. Jagger, an ex-wife of Rolling Stone Mick, lost the ring in Salzburg last August.
Ringler has claimed he gave the ring to his 13-year-old daughter after finding it in a Salzburg hotel. He said he thought it was worthless and only recognised what it was after seeing press reports. He took the ring to the police within eight days of the reports.
Jagger made an alternative offer in November to pay 9,000 euros to Amnesty International and the remaining 1,000 euros to Ringler’s daughter. But Ringler filed a lawsuit in February.
Reality star Audrina Patridge has apologised to fellow Hills star Heidi Montag after commenting on her singing performance at the Miss Universe pageant.
The Sorority Row star had previously said that Montag, who was performing her new single Body Language, “isn’t taking her music seriously”.
Patridge said in an email said that her comments “were taken entirely out of context and twisted completely”.
The actress added that she was “truly impressed with [Heidi's] performance and all the hard work that she has put towards her career”.
LeAnn Rimes, 27, will divorce Dean Sheremet after taking up with actor Eddie Cibrian.
Rimes on her website, and using the spelling of her husband’s given name, stated: “After much thoughtful mutual consideration, Deane and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage. This decision was amicable and we remain committed and caring friends with great admiration for one another. Thank you so much for all of your continued love and support – it is deeply appreciated.
Sheremet is a songwriter and former professional dancer who is now attending culinary school in New York. He wrote on his Twitter account: “Back to school kids, first time in 10 years.”
Dope Den Productions founder Jeff Berger, who is a longtime friend of Rimes, says the former couple are “doing their best to handle it as mature adults”.
“Dean’s her best friend and that’s the crux of the issue; when you love and care about somebody who’s your best friend – how not to cause them pain. Le and Dean are both great people and, unfortunately, going through a tough situation. But they’re doing what needs to be done in as amicable a way as possible.”

Dr Who star David Tennant has finally gone public with his latest romance – his on-screen daughter.
The hunky sci-fi star is dating Georgia Moffett, who plays his daughter Jenny in the popular show.
The couple have reportedly dating for a year but have kept their romance under wraps until now.
But on a recent night out at London’s posh The Ivy restaurant, they seemed inseparable.
Walking hand in hand, Georgia was all smiles, even if David seemed a bit more reluctant and uneasy as they made a speedy exit through the back door in a bid to avoid attention.
Tennant, 37, has been dating the 24-year-old single mother, since they met on the set of the show when she played his daughter in one episode.

Gordon Ramsay brought his wife and two daughters along to a US TV interview – and admitted that his kids often catch sneaky glimpses of his foul-mouthed telly antics, despite not being allowed to watch his shows.
The British chef’s wife Tana and daughters Matilda and Holly joined him at the Good Day LA studios, as he plugged the new US series of Hell’s Kitchen, and laughed as the hosts teased fiery Ramsay about being a “pussycat” at home.

Diane Kruger, a 33-year-old German of village origins, felt like she won the lottery when she was given a part by Quentin Tarantino.
The Inglourious Basterds role demands her to play nothing less than the life she was living herself. Kruger was a German actress living in France, when Tarantino tapped her for the part of a 1940s German siren turned spy.
Kruger, who plays Bridget von Hammersmark working with a group of “basterds” or Jewish-American soldiers, said: “This is the first time someone gave me a part where I’m strong, where I’m the engine, the motor of the scene. Many times actresses are an accessory to a story line. To be handed intelligent dialogue was nice. It was a nice experience.”
Tarantino, meanwhile, has been drawing the best reviews he has had in a long time for the movie.
Said Kruger: “He [Tarantino] took a leap of faith on an actress who has so far only played Helen of Troy and did National Treasure. He sees me completely different. I feel Quentin gave me a great gift. No matter what impact this movie has on my career, or if it turns into a box office hit or not, I feel like I won the lottery.”
Katie Holmes has treated her co-star Bailee Madison, nine, to a trip to the theatre to help them become friends.
The pair are currently in Melbourne, Australia, making the horror flick Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark with Aussie actor Guy Pearce.
The star took Bailee to see a matinee performance of the musical Wicked as a special treat.
Katie, who is also looking after daughter Suri, three, while her husband Tom travels with his Australian friend James Packer, plays Bailee’s mom in the film.
A source on set said: “Katie has taken Bailee under her wing. She knows what it’s like to be young and to be working on a film set so she’s been looking after Bailee as best she can.
“The trip to the theatre was a special treat. They sneaked in a back way so that they wouldn’t be noticed. They had a wonderful time. The pair get on well, and Bailee is looking forward to meeting Suri.”
The pair have been going though readings of the movie at the film set in Melbourne for the past couple of weeks. Shooting is expected to move out on location in the coming days.

School of Rock star Jack Black gatecrashed a wedding that took place in a building where he was shooting his new movie.
Jack, 39, was shooting new film Gulliver’s Travels at the Duke of Marlborough’s Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire when he spotted the couple’s reception being held in the grounds.
A source said: “A photographer was taking pictures of the bride and groom when suddenly Jack Black appeared from nowhere.”
The source added: “He’d been filming nearby and when he saw the wedding party he started cheering and clapping and ended up in some of the photos. It was hilarious.”
Mel Gibson’s traditionalist Catholic faith may see him as an adulterer, according to a US report.
The actor’s wife Robyn Moore has filed for divorce and Gibson has recently announced his girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, 39, is pregnant with his eighth child.
But Gibson, who belongs to a particularly strict Catholic faith, is reported to have stopped taking holy communion and is believed to have asked his fellow churchgoers not to gossip about him.
Divorce is frowned upon and an annulment – often sought by Catholics wanting to remarry and stay in the church – is not easily granted, with an application to the Vatican required.
All of this may take a lengthy period of time and would probably not be granted before his eighth child is born.
Now People.com says a traditional Catholic who is married but conducting a romance with another woman is considered an adulterer in violation of the Ten Commandments.
The magazine quotes a priest, who says: “It would be heartbreaking for Gibson …. We have sympathy for a person in that situation.”
Ugly Betty star Rebecca Romijn said she feels “whole” after becoming a mum.
Rebecca, 36, gave birth to twin girls Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip in December last year.
She said: “Being a mom makes me feel whole and like I understand the meaning of life.” She added: “All I want to do is stare into my babies’ eyes nonstop.”
Rebecca has already lost 60lbs since she gave birth but said she’s not quite back to her pre-natal weight.
She said: “I’m a jeans size up from where I usually am, but there’s nothing about it that freaks me out.”
She added: “I feel as sexy as I have ever felt. I’ve always said that sexy is having a really strong sense of yourself and never taking yourself too seriously.”
Rebecca also added her husband Jerry O’Connell has been great with their new baby daughters. She said: “He’s got endless amounts of energy, and he’s having such a blast with these girls.”
Rebecca added that Jerry is going to be a protective dad when the girls are teenagers, adding: “He’s determined not to let them ever date while he is alive.”
The producer behind Farrah Fawcett’s harrowing cancer documentary is suing Ryan O’Neal, accusing him of using physical threats to take control of the show.
Craig Nevius claims in court documents that he was a "trusted friend and confidant" of Fawcett’s, who she "entrusted" to put on film "many of her most personal and sensitive matters" for Farrah’s Story.
And he states in a lawsuit that the former Charlie’s Angels star insisted her lover Ryan O’Neal "not be a producer" and the show "not be about Ms Fawcett’s relationship with O’Neal".
But Nevius insists in court papers that "O’Neal physically threatened” him to get him to relinquish control of the documentary.
And he accuses O’Neal’s business manager Richard Francis of making "additional threats of physical violence against” him.
He also accuses one of Fawcett’s closest friends, Rod Stewart’s ex-wife Alana Stewart, of "disrupting Nevius’s contractual relationship with Ms Fawcett by… trying to take advantage of Ms Fawcett’s condition".
"Stewart demanded that her pay be doubled and she be given a ‘producer’ credit or she would not deliver video footage of Ms Fawcett that she had shot for the programme," the lawsuit claims.
Nevius’s lawsuit – filed in Los Angeles Superior Court just days before the documentary was set to air in the US – seeks unspecified damages from O’Neal, Francis and Stewart.
Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway and Shirley MacLaine are all in talks to appear in a star-studded romantic comedy.
In a movie that mirrors Love, Actually and He’s Just Not Into You, the threesome will play alongside Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Ashton Kutcher and Bradley Cooper in Valentine’s Day.
The film follows five interconnecting stories happening in Los Angeles on the most romantic day of the year.
Roberts, 41, will play an army officer on leave from Iraq. Her character is on a flight to Los Angeles with Cooper – the 34-year-old who was in He’s Just Not That Into You.
This time he will play a gay man whose lover is a closeted football player.
Kutcher, 31, is a florist who proposes to his girlfriend, played by Alba, 28, only to realise he is in love with his close friend Garner. But Garner, 37, finds out that her boyfriend is married.
In the meantime MacLaine, 75, who plays Roberts’s mother, reveals to her husband that she once had an affair.
Hathaway, 26, is an assistant at the biggest talent agency in town but she is dating the mailroom assistant. In contrast Biel, 27, is a publicist who hasn’t got a date on Valentine’s Day.
There are still roles to be filled in this project that Garry Marshall is set to direct – most notably MacLaine’s husband and the mailroom worker.
Marshall launched Roberts’ career by directing her in another successful romantic comedy, Pretty Woman (1990).
