It seems that Taylor Swift’s success just doesn’t stop for anything… she most likely has Kanye West to thank for that one, though, he’s the one that really rocketed her to fame. Her latest achievement is breaking Britney Spears’ record for best download debut by a female artist with her track “Today was a fairytale”. Apparently the song is also featured on the soundtrack of Taylor Swift’s acting debut, “Valentine’s Day”. Well, well, looks like the future belongs to Taylor Swift, doesn’t it? Kanye West is no longer the voice of the generation… that must steam him up a bit.
It seems that the singer’s fabled 2008 Video Music Awards dress is going to be auctioned and the proceeds will be going to the Haiti relief fund. But bear in mind, this is no ordinary dress! Britney Spears won three awards that faithful day wearing this same dress. It’s practically and ancient artifact by now and unthinkable powers shall befall he who manages to get his grubby little paws on it. After all, Britney Spears is no ordinary human being, but a legend among legends. So it should cash in quite a hefty price, especially if those invited to do the bidding are the right people.
If you are part of the Twitter world, I’m sure you would have noticed something a little off with Britney Spears’ page. Obviously, someone was able to hack into the pop star’s page. I have to give some props to whoever did it because it is pretty funny, albeit sick too. The hacker not only has the singer offer herself up to Satan but also has her warn us of the new world order. I wonder how Britney reacted when she saw her page when she woke up. I’m pretty sure she would have worn a face that I would have paid to see.

Britney Spears has fallen for one of her back up dancers. Why does that sound so familiar? The pop star has reportedly fallen for 21-year old dancer Chase Benz from Tennessee. A source is saying that “Brit really loves the way Chase looks, and she has a thing for Southern boys with loads of charm. She’s totally into him. And being on tour again, plus having a sexy new guy to get close to, has put Brit in a great frame of mind.” As for Chase, he apparently adores Britney so things might get rolling in the romance department soon enough.
With a chart-topping album chock full of chart-topping singles, not to mention a successful comeback, a lot of people want to have the life that Britney Spears is living right now. But be prepared to pay the price if you want to be the recovered pop princess. Britney’s conservators have hired a total of 17 lawyers and law firms to handle her affairs over the last 14 months. You know that’s bound to cost a lot of money. According to legal papers filed in LA County Superior Court earlier this past week, the fees just keep on piling up. The attorneys representing Jamie Spears alone have already racked up more than $1 million in fees! And Britney’s actual total in legal fees – $2.7 million!
Britney Spears’ former assistant and long time friend Felicia Culotta has left her position working with the Jonas Brothers to help Brit come full circle by returning to her side. Effective immediately, Felicia will be working for Brit again. Felicia commented on the jump saying “Britney has always held a special place in my heart, and over the course of the last year I have seen her work harder than she ever has in her entire life. Sadly, I am really going to miss the Jonas boys, but I felt I had to be a part of this exciting time in Britney’s career. I love Britney and missed her dearly.”
Just when you think everything is all fine and dandy with Britney Spears, you have to hear the names Sam Lutfi and Adnan Ghalib again. Fortunately, the recovered pop princess has just obtained restraining orders against her once enablers. An inside source says that Britney asked her conservators to get her protection against the two adding that she was afraid of Sam and Adnan and that she wants them locked up in jail. Reports are surfacing that the two apparently conspired to try and undermine her conservatorship “in a way that would have been extremely harmful to her.” Lutfi’s attorney is said to be in on it too.
The singer recently received a ring that is supposed to have magical properties that shall boost her self confidence. The ring was made especially for her by designer Dara Dubinet who had this to say about it: “I made the ring with Britney in mind. When something is made with good intention, it carries that positive energy to the person who ends up wearing it.” Right… and I’m sure the ring has other properties as well: +5 to hot-headedness, +21 to “self-esteem” and +85% chance of making a complete fool out of yourself. Based on early sales last week, Britney Spears’ latest album, Circus, was expected to debut with over 450,000 copies sold – up from an original prediction of around 300k..
But Britney Spears has surpassed the expectations and rocked my world!
According to Hits Daily Double, Britney has now sold 504,507 copies of Circus and made it to the top of the U.S. album charts!
She’s sold more albums in her firs week than Kanye and Beyonce did with their new albums!

Not only is Britney Spears’ Circus the # 1 album on iTunes today, but the title track is the # 1 single and # 1 requested ringtone too. Britney fever is in the air, and now is the time for fans everywhere to rally together to make her the highest debuting female artist of 2008! Britney Spears made a subtle dig at her ex husband Kevin Federline in her interview with Rolling Stone implying that their son Sean Preston learned to curse from Kevin. In an interview with Glamour, Britney continues with the digs saying “In five years I would like to be married and have a father figure for my kids, someone who is a provider and can be really stable. It’s hard doing it on your own.” KFed may not be perfect but you have to commend him on doing a great job with the boys considering he did it alone when Britney was busy going crazy.
Britney managed to celebrate her 27th birthday despite her hectic schedules. However, the celebration was made in Good Morning, America where she was greeted through video by several actors including Hugh Jackman who has never even met her! The viewers of Good Morning, America were treated to a circus performance by Britney who sang two songs from her new album Circus.
Britney’s performance at the television elicited various reactions from people. Some praised her successful comeback while other criticized her choice of costume, her slow dancing and her lip synching. She dressed as a ringmaster and even smashed through a hoop with fire while singing “Womanizer”.
But no matter how they put Britney down it seems that ladyluck is on her side. She was recently awarded Best International Pop Star by Bambi Awards and her performance during the awarding praised by majority of those who watched the show. Britney is set to go on a concert tour starting March next year.
It seems Brit has learned her lessons and realized that it was her family who stood by her when she was down and out so she spent her birthday dinner with her mom Lynne, dad Jamie, sons 2-year old Jayden and 3-year old Preston and her manager Larry Rudolph.
SO Britney’s birthday came and went by but her ex-husband Kevin could not get in the picture so what does he do, well just speak something rubbish about Britney and the media will throng you to cover ur story, as simple as that.
The 30-year-old dancer claims Britney contacted a lawyer without his knowledge thus leaving him unprepared and it came as surprise to him when she asked for a permanent separation in 2006.
Come on guys give him a chance to say his side of the story once more, here we go – He said: “WE were having complications. I didn’t give her an ultimatum, but I was trying to work stuff out with her, and she didn’t even talk to me or anything and went behind my back and filed for divorce. I was completely blindsided.”
Poor fellow I really fell for him and my sympathies are with him. God damn fool if expects that then he’s having none of it. Britney was going through hell and he was going through her bank balance.

What a year for Britney Spears! After a number of court appearances, recording an album and hitting the scene, it looks like she’s finally ready for the spotlight once again. Her long time manager Larry Rudolph seems to think so at least. He said “She’s definitely ready. She loves to work. She’s a very strong person. Everybody goes through setbacks in their lives. [But] every day, I see her getting happier and stronger.” Her musical comeback may be important but Larry says that his client has made it clear that motherhood comes first. He told a reporter “Her kids and balancing her life with her kids is an incredible priority – the No. 1 priority in terms of how I operate with her.”
Britney Spears will be celebrating her twenty-seventh birthday this year with the release of her sixth studio album, Circus. The highly anticipated album set for a December 2nd release features the # 1 hit “Womanizer” as well as collaborations with Max Martin, Dr. Luke, Danja, Guy Sigsworth (Madonna, Alanis Morissette) and more. Her first comment in an interview to UK’s Daily Mail is that she has nothing against Britney Spears. Rather she was all praise for the former queen of pop “I don’t pass any judgment on what she does,” Christina Aguilera has this to say about Britney “I always wish Britney nothing but the best.”
Well it’s a well know fact that these to singers started out together doing the Mickey Mouse Club. And from that time on life for these two girls (now both moms) has changed a hell lot. What’s more Britney’s latest album titled ‘Circus’ is dropping on December 2 and she wouldn’t have expected her rival to say something nice about her at this point.
Well if someone could just stop Britney bashing and instead encourage her like this then it could go a long way in restoring her battered self esteem.
Britney Spears spent the weekend with her mother Lynne in California. The troubled 26 year-old singer – who is reportedly set to regain joint custody of sons Sean Preston and Jayden James in a new arrangement with ex-husband Kevin Federline – enjoyed a shopping trip with her mother before going out to dinner at the nearby Bond St. restaurant.
A source at the eatery said: “They had a girls’ dinner of salad, sushi rolls, and fish with two of Britney’s friends. Britney walked in with a big smile and introduced her mom to the staff. She looked gorgeous, and I have never seen her in a better mood. She was laughing the whole time she was here. Britney seemed to have the best time hanging out with her mom and friends.”
Lynn arrived in California on Wednesday, after spending time with Britney’s sister Jamie Lynn, who recently gave birth to daughter Maddie Briann, her first child with fiance Casey Aldridge.
Meanwhile, Britney is reportedly “excited” about getting her career back on track, and has filmed a video segment for Madonna’s upcoming ‘Sticky and Sweet’ tour.
A source said: “Britney is excited, but in a grown-up way. She has come a long way in the last year. Working with Madonna is a dream, but I think Britney feels like it’s one she has earned.”
Britney and Madonna reportedly appear together in the video wearing bandages which they will remove to reveal tiny bondage pants and knee-high boots.
Staff at the UCLA Medical Centre are reportedly facing the sack for attempting to access Britney Spears’ medical files.
The troubled singer spent seven days in the hospital at the end of January to be given treatment for her Bipolar disorder.
But a US newspaper believes 13 employers are in the process of being fired and 12 others, including doctors, will be disciplined for looking at Britney’s confidential records.
This is not the first time the hospital has axed employers for peeking at her files.
In 2005, when the singer gave birth to son Sean Preston, several members of staff were caught looking at her computerized records.
Jeri Simpson, the hospital’s director of human resources, said: “It’s not only surprising, it’s very frustrating and it’s very disappointing,” Before adding she felt “horrible” that it happened again.
UCLA confirmed that officials had informed staff on the morning Britney was hospitalised warning them not to look.
