ER star Parminder Nagra has revealed David Beckham told her she was a good footballer at the premiere for the film Bend It Like Beckham.
Parminder, 33, shot to fame in 2002 when she played the role of Jessmindar in the football flick.
She said: "David Beckham said I was a good footballer. I sat right behind him at the first screening of Bend It Like Beckham, but I couldn’t see his face. I did notice he had nice manicured nails and he was concentrating on the screen intensely."
She told British magazine Live: "He was with Victoria, who tapped her feet any time music came on."
She added: "And then she turned to him and said: ‘This is really good, isn’t it?’ After the film, he came up and shook my hand and said I’d done really well."
Parminder landed a big break on US medical drama ER following her performance in Bend It Like Beckham and has since moved to the US.
She said: "I felt like a fraud for the first week on ER. I knew no one in Hollywood and I was joining this huge dynasty of a show. For the first few weeks, I was bumbling around looking lost, which was OK – my character, Neela, was an intern and also had no idea what she was doing."
All’s well that ends well. That may be the case of soccer star David Beckham after being allowed to extend his stay with Milan. David Beckham told NBC’s Matt Lauer that he had a great time at Milan and it was a great experience playing for the team. He said being given the chance to extend his stay up to the end of the season is great. After that he would be back to Galaxy to finish the season and then decide the best thing to do.
David Beckham said his main motivation in planning to leave Galaxy is because he wants to play in his home country especially in the World Cup come 2010. To do that, he said, he has to be playing at the highest level in Europe. This should not be interpreted to mean that he is not committed to his role as an ambassador in the MLS and also to Galaxy but he said he just needs to play at this level. He said he has a lot of respect for AEG president (owner of Galaxy) Tim Leiweke. He said he has an ongoing contract with them and will honor the contract but right now he needs to play for Milan and to focus and try to make the 2010 World Cup.
The fashion designer recently talked about how she thinks dresses should be. Mark Wahlberg wants David and Victoria Beckham to leave Los Angeles. The ‘Boogie Nights’ actor claims the couple are causing a huge disturbance in his neighborhood because of the constant attention surrounding them.
Wahlberg is furious with the photographers hanging around his back garden trying to get a picture of the Los Angeles Galaxy player David, 33, and wife Victoria, 34.
When asked if he had met David, Wahlberg jokingly said: “No, but that f***er lives down the road from me, man! He has to go back to the UK, because he has the paparazzi all over my house.”

Meanwhile, Wahlberg has announced his long-term girlfriend Rhea Durham, 29, is pregnant for the third time. The couple – who already have two children, daughter Ella, four, and two-year-old son Michael – are planning to extend their brood even further.

Victoria Beckham is set to star in the new ‘Alan Partridge’ movie.
The Spice Girl, who is desperate to make it as an actress, has reportedly signed up to play Steve Coogan’s assistant Lynn in the big-screen adaptation of the hit British TV show, based around the mishaps of radio DJ Alan.
A source said: ‘The Partridge film has been in pre-production for an age. One reason was because they couldn’t agree on Lynn. Felicity Montagu, who played Lynn in the TV series, doesn’t want to go to Hollywood and the film’s backers decided they wanted a big name to replace her. It was also important to them to have a Briton and someone with a sense of fun.’
Victoria – who lives in Los Angeles with her soccer star husband David and their three sons – impressed bosses with her humour and is prepared to ditch her usual glamorous image for the dowdy role.
The source added: ‘Victoria is a big name but no one expected her to have such a rapier-like wit. She’s game to frump up for the role, too. She was practising her hangdog grimace to David the other day. It was cracking him up.’

Wearing dark sunglasses and a white short-sleeved t-shirt, LA Galaxy star David chatted to police and was given a $160 fine for the traffic violation.
He was also threatened with a point on his driver’s licence unless he agrees to go to traffic school.
An onlooker said: “David was really co-operative. I think he knew he was in the wrong.”
The Beckham family are no strangers to being pulled over by police.
Shortly before moving to Los Angeles last year, David’s wife Victoria was tailed by cops until she parked on the side of the road and showed the officer her valid licence.

A source claims that the fact she has already gained 42lbs and her face has become very puffy from water retention that she wishes to put her career on hold until the baby is born in the spring. We won’t be seeing much of her from now on.

Victoria Beckham recently went face-to-face with Larry King on CNN for his show Larry King Live. On the show, she talked about her sleeping arrangements with husband David. As we all know, the Beckhams sleep naked. And as Posh explains it “A lot of women would understand that if they were getting in bed with David Beckham.” Now that’s just rubbing salt in the wound!
Posh also addressed several rumors. Most notable of which are the ones about Scientology which she says are not true, and the pregnancy rumors which she also says are not true. But who really knows? They might already be working on it.

Like in the last five games from the start of the season he hasn’t played a full match as yet, and the idiot fans of America are proving that they are willing to shell out money to see him not play the entire match duration. And just don’t tell me this is Beckham mania cos, even if Tiger woods is not playing at the weekend of a golf tournament the crowds dwindle in their numbers. I love David Beckham for the way he plays with sheer super skills but what I fail to understand why did he come to the training grounds when he was unfit and then have the media report all about his ground training and possibly reporting about his sun tan cream, they just want to write anything in the celebrity column to have the people read about him.
When David and Victoria Beckham moved to the United States, they brought their nose for business with them. Intimately Beckham, the couple’s fragrance line which up until now has only been available across the pond, will be available in U.S. department stores next month, followed by drug stores in January. Sick to death of these people. They are making so much money, and for doing nothing. They certainly know how to con the Americans. You are the laughing stock of Europe because you are so taken in with these couple of parasites. Ever since David has arrived from Spanish football giants Real Madrid, he hasn’t played a single match for his new team LA Galaxy expect for appearing for a few minutes on the field. Yet there is still so much interest in the couple as if there were dirt of celebs in Hollywood. Please get over them coz their move to America is just for the money and to cash in on their fame in England and the whole of Europe. Sure he can play soccer, no doubts on that, why can’t he just play the game instead he his busy with adv. campaigns and perfumes.
Add one more major name to hop the David Beckham bandwagon: Enrique Iglesias. Since his arrival in the States, David has been scrutinized by fans and celebrities alike. Damn man he has just arrived and a started training so give him sometime and he will prove his metal for sure. He has played professional soccer for the 10-12 years so he knows what’s expected of him, he ain’t a jerk to have all the way to LA to prove he can play world class soccer. Enrique is from Latin America where the game is the most popular sport so and he is an avid follower, so he certainly has an opinion. But for Christ sake give him the space he requires. Under pressure to perform will bog him down more. Enrique is a great singer and performer and should stick to doing what he is best at. If is trying to encourage Beckham but it could miss fire with all the adulation that he is getting and turn the pressure on him. Let a season or two pass and let him get acquainted to America, he could blow the competition apart.
I really didn’t know that staying in the US is after all such a bid deal. One like Victoria has landed in USA to live there and TV channel NBC is covering her setting her home for the people to see. What utter crap these channel would do is unimaginable. Victoria Beckham has made her debut on US television as the subject of a spoof fly-on-the-wall documentary. As she is shown setting up her new home in Los Angeles, Beckham utters: “It’s exhausting being fabulous.” In the programme, Victoria Beckham Coming to America, she is shown dishing out orders to a new personal assistant, who she insists should not be too good-looking. “It’s got to be all about me,” she says. The next thing they would show is how caringly she is feeding her dogs and cats, how the children go to the school, this all so stupid wonder if the American people can sit up to watch all this. They should also show the kitchen and the wash room in her house so that we could learn something about recipes and toilet habits of the Beckham’s as well.
Victoria Beckham insisted that she’s “just a normal girl from London” who happens to be “living quite a surreal life” with her soccer star husband David and their three young boys.
Americans can judge for themselves when the newest British import is seen in a one-hour NBC special, “Victoria Beckham: Coming to America,” airing July 16 at 8 p.m.
As if Posh and Becks aren’t besieged enough by cameras, the special follows Victoria Beckham as she prepares to move from Europe to the United States for her husband’s July 21 debut with the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer.
“It’s funny. People really get to see what I’m really like. I have quite a dry sense of humor, which I hope is going to translate to Americans,” Beckham said by phone from her London home where boxes were piled up ahead of the family’s move Wednesday.
Beckham called herself “a working mum” who is focused on developing her signature line of clothing, sunglasses and perfume.
“That’s my passion and that’s what I’m good at,” she said.
Beckham said her family was “so excited” about relocating that her boys “actually think they’re moving to Disneyland.”

The soccer superstar surprised his wife Victoria for her 33rd birthday with an overnight trip to Paris spending $50000 on a private jet and arranging private fitting with her favorite dress and shoe designers.
However Victoria thought her 33rd birthday would be just an ordinary day going to a Chinese restaurant with her husband and their three kids. She was wrong.
When she woke up David asked her to get in the car-he had already packed a bag full of Victoria’s favorite clothes and he has even a pair of white skinny jeans from her new collection that even Victoria hasn’t seen.
When they arrived in Paris Becks took Victoria to her favorite shops in the French capital and made her presents for more than $20 000.
He had booked a room at the luxurious Paris Ritz hotel and had ordered the whole room to be filed with Victoria’s favorite flowers and champagne.
The couple spent the evening at the Guy Savoy Restaurant which Becks has reserved just for them and they had a romantic private dinner. How romantic. I wonder what it would be if everyone could have such 33rd birthday.
