Paul McCartney reveals the truth about Beatles films
Posted on Jun 24, 2010 under Paul McCartney, beatles | No CommentEven though his ego may get a bit tickled by the fact that movies about The Beatles are still being made, Paul McCartney says that they aren’t at all accurate. This is what he related on the matter: “It’s a great tribute that whatever we did is so lasting and people can still make films about The Beatles which can still be successful. For me, though, they’re not true and that’s the unfortunate thing about them. John never punched me out like he does in ‘Nowhere Boy,’ but my character is kind of cool in the film so I don’t mind being punched out. I told the film director Sam all of that but she said, ‘Yeah. But Paul, it’s just a film.’” Well, in all fairness that is accurate… it’s just a movie and The Beatles were just a band, no more need be said about all of these tributes.
