Chris Brown won’t be singing on Good Morning America

Posted on Nov 30, 2009 under Chris Brown, Performance | No Comment

That’s probably going to be a big sting on his revealing confessions. It seems that even though Adam Lambert’s performance was cancelled and replaced with an exclusive interview with Chris Brown about the events of February, the rapper will not be blowing anybody away with his singing… not that he has many thrilled fans lately, to be honest. Under these circumstances, Chris Brown might even call off the interview… after all, what’s a good sob story without some music to really start the tears. Maybe it’s better this way… no one would want the show to be called “Good Mourning America”.

Susan Boyle breaks down… again

Posted on Nov 30, 2009 under Simon Cowell, susan boyle | No Comment

It seems success always comes with a price, doesn’t it? After taking the US by storm with her new album, Susan Boyle had another breakdown when she was presented with a quilt made by people from 28 different countries at a café in New York. Apparently Susan Boyle started sucking on her thumb and then sobbing, but snapped out of that state and afterwards started dancing. However, her spokesman assured that nothing is out of the ordinary: “She was just overjoyed and extremely touched with the reception she had had from everyone in America.” Susan Boyle probably just needs a bit of practice for the fame and glory and mental illness that comes with them… where is Simon Cowell when you need him?

Taylor Lautner Talks Taylor Swift

Posted on Nov 30, 2009 under Taylor Swift | No Comment

Taylor Lautner has an interview with Rolling Stone covering all the usual topics – ‘New Moon’, bulking up and his career. But I’m sure that all of us were most interested in reading what the actor had to say about Taylor Swift. When asked point blank if he was dating the country singer, Taylor said “Possibly.” Way to play it coy! Taylor then goes on to talk about working with the blonde cutie on their new movie ‘Valentine’s Day’, saying “We got along great. We instantly clicked. And she’s — she’s an amazing girl. Aside from being beautiful, she’s extremely funny, charismatic and fun to be around, so we definitely got along. We’re close.”

Well, it seems Dick Dastardly is still up to his devious deeds… or no, wait, it’s Simon Cowell who’s doing the deeds. After leaving obscurity and traveling to the center of the spotlight on a bumpy road that included a nervous breakdown, Susan Boyle has inspired Simon Cowell to make a movie about her tumultuous road to success. The movie will be entitled “I dreamed a dream: The Susan Boyle story” and it’s going to be aired in December. Well, it didn’t take him long to get it all produced… Simon Cowell really does work fast, doesn’t he? So this is where you get after finishing the college known as “Britain’s Got Talent”.

Paula Abdul’s new figure

Posted on Nov 27, 2009 under Paula Abdul | No Comment

The singer and American Idol judge apparently lost a few pounds recently. How come she did it? Well, Paula Abdul related that it was simply a matter of having more time to spare: “First and foremost I’ve had the ability to have time to have a schedule that allows me to take care of myself and dance and workout. It’s been great, but now I’m back to work.” What’s Simon Cowell got cooking now that Paula Abdul is getting back to work. It’ll be a good few months until the next season of American Idol begins, so what’s the latest project? Or does Paula Abdul just not want anyone to know that she is still pretty much, what’s the word… unemployed.

Listen to “World Behind My Wall” here.

It’s a busy week for the band as their song “Human Connect To Human” is now featured in the brand new Verizon Droid commercial. Check out the sci-fi themed spot to see Tokio Hotel’s very fitting integration into the campaign.

New Moon star Taylor Lautner has dodged questions about his rumoured romance with Taylor Swift, but has admitted that they are “close” and that the country singer is “beautiful” and “amazing”.

The 17-year-old Twilight actor has filmed scenes with Swift in the upcoming romantic comedy, Valentine’s Day, but when asked if they had started dating after that, Lautner replied: “We got along great. We instantly clicked.

“She’s an amazing girl. Aside from being beautiful, she’s extremely funny, charismatic and fun to be around, and so we definitely get along.

“We’re close.”

The pair are reported to be dating, but neither will confirm or deny the rumours.

Lautner also revealed that despite his rock-hard physique he was bullied at school.

He said: “Because I was acting, when I was in school there was a little bullying going on.

“Not physical bullying, but people making fun of what I do…

“I just had to tell myself: ‘I can’t let this get to me. This is what I love to do. And I’m going to continue doing it.’”

Bon Jovi and Gwen Stefani Copy Taylor Swift

Posted on Nov 26, 2009 under Bon Jovi, Gwen Stefani, Taylor Swift | No Comment

Jon Bon Jovi and Gwen Stefani are following in Taylor Swift’s sports bar crushing footsteps as the two singers are suing a hometown drinking establishment for allegedly jacking their music. According to a lawsuit filed in Minnesota, several of the pop stars’ compositions were publicly performed at Sally’s Saloon & Eatery and they claim that the bar never got the licensing it needed. Now, Bon Jovi, Gwen and other people who own copyrights to their music want the bar to pay damages and stop playing their songs. A rep at Sally’s wasn’t even aware of the lawsuit which could mean big trouble for them.

Pixie Lott is taking a bat out of hell

Posted on Nov 25, 2009 under Music, Music Artist | No Comment

Well, only figuratively speaking… the singer is apparently very keen on being part of Meat Loaf’s musical that bears the name “Bat out of Hell”. This is what Pixie Lott said on the matter: “That would be wicked, it would be so much fun. I really want to do ‘Chicago.’ My managers told me that the Meat Loaf musical “Bat Out Of Hell” is coming to London and he said that would be good to consider and would suit my voice.” Well, maybe the musical might suit Pixie Lott’s voice, but there’s a wee problem with her name. Seriously, how many pixies can you picture involved in a musical called “Bat out of Hell”? Pixie Lott might consider getting a new alias for this one.

Miley Cyrus Talks Bus Accident

After the bus accident that tragically cost one of her tour members his life, Miley Cyrus and her family has released a statement on the Disney star’s official website. The statement from the singer and her family says “We are deeply saddened by the loss of Bill ‘Uncle Bill’ Douglas. Members of our tour are like members of our family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family in the midst of this tragedy. He will truly be missed.” Rest in peace Bill Douglas. It was an unfortunate event but on the bright side, no one else was seriously hurt.

Mariah Carey loves her own music

Posted on Nov 23, 2009 under Mariah Carey, Marriage, Nick Cannon | No Comment

This really wasn’t that big a mystery to be honest, but it’s interesting to see how honest Mariah Carey’s husband, Nick Cannon, is about her musical preferences. When asked if his wife likes to hear her own music at home, Nick Cannon replied with the following: “We’re talking about Mariah Carey. Of course she loves to hear herself.” It’s so good that Mariah Carey has such an honest husband… their marriage must really be a blast and it’s probably going to be even more of a blast after this. Fortunately, Mariah Carey loves Nick Cannon and this will all blow over… eventually.

Don’t Mess with Morrissey

Posted on Nov 23, 2009 under Concert, Singers | No Comment

I wouldn’t mess with Morrissey even if I was given a pretty good chance of surviving. At one of the singer’s concerts in Hamburg, Morrissey kicked out a fan who didn’t appreciate a joke that he made onstage that ‘Hamburgers’ should be called ‘Hamburgists’. An audience member shouted “fuck you” at the singer, prompting the diva to have security remove the concertgoer from the show and telling him “you can fuck yourself”. Well, didn’t he figure that he could have been offensive? I doubt that he was in the right in that one. Oh well, the guy already paid anyway. If Morrissey gets the money, I don’t think he has anything else to complain about.

Russell Brand ‘really happy’ with girlfriend Katy Perry

Posted on Nov 20, 2009 under Dating, Katy Perry | No Comment

Comic Russell Brand has said he’s “really happy” with girlfriend Katy Perry but is not planning to settle down just yet.

The 34-year-old star has been dating the I Kissed A Girl singer, 24, for the past couple of months and he said to UK radio station Heart FM: “I wouldn’t like to settle down because it’s only been a couple of months so during that period if you’ve settled down and it’s not about all whizz-bangs and elation, you’re doing something terribly wrong.”

He added: “I’m not settled down but I’m really very happy.”

Brand was asked which of them made the first move.

He said: “She chatted me up. She’s a very confident person. I was taken aback, little bit, you know, swept off my feet, intimidated. I really like her.”

Asked if he is thinking of proposing this festive season, he said: “I’m not going to propose at Christmas, but I really love her.”

Amy Winehouse visits hospital yet again

Posted on Nov 20, 2009 under Amy Winehouse, Plastic Surgery | No Comment

There she goes again! Amy Winehouse managed to get herself into the hospital once more… but this time, it’s much more serious than suspected. It seems Amy Winehouse’s new breast implants started leaking recently and that’s what prompted her to end up at the hospital. A friend of the surgically altered singer related the following: “She saw something oozing out of her top. To see stuff seeping out was horrible.” Well, it seems Amy Winehouse is falling apart again… only this time, it’s literally. You’d think these people could have learned a lesson from poor old Michael Jackson, but no! Onward with the implants!

Janet Jackson’s regrets

Posted on Nov 20, 2009 under Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson | No Comment

It looks like Michael Jackson’s sister still has her regrets about the family not being able to intervene with the late pop star’s substance abuse. This is what Janet Jackson said on the matter: “Those are the things you do when you love someone. You can’t just let them continue on that way. And we did a few times but we weren’t very successful.” Well, given the fact that the head of the family is Joe Jackson, there really isn’t any surprise there. How come none of the others too better initiative? But of course there is nothing to do now but live with the regret… and soak up all of the publicity!

Out VS Adam Lambert

Posted on Nov 20, 2009 under American Idol | No Comment

It was exciting to hear that Adam Lambert was included in this year’s ‘Out 100’ list in Out Magazine. I thought it was a well-deserved honor. However, after reading the editor’s note from the issue, I’m appalled to find out that the singer’s management and record label insisted on “de-gaying” the American Idol alum at a gay magazine. Sources say that while Adam was being interviewed, his reps insisted on limiting questions as to not make him seem “too gay”. That sparked understandable fury with Editor-in-Chief Aaron Hicklin, who wrote an opening letter to Adam regarding the matter. Part of the letter said “Out was too gay, even for you. There was the issue of what it would do to your record sales, we were told. Imagine! A gay musician on the cover of a gay magazine… It’s only because this cover is a group shot that includes a straight woman that your team would allow you to be photographed at all — albeit with the caveat that we must avoid making you look “too gay.”… Luckily, you seemed unaware that a similar caution was issued to our interviewer.”

Robbie Williams’ tour problems

Posted on Nov 19, 2009 under Concert, Concert Tour, Robbie Williams | No Comment

The singer has recently declared his unwillingness to do any more tours since every time he does them he ends up in rehab and/or gaining too much weight… at least that’s what Robbie Williams thinks about it. But what about the Take That comeback? What about the great shows Robbie Williams was going to do with his old singing buddies? Or is just the solo tours that mess Robbie Williams up? Or might it be the fact that aliens have taken over his mind and his girlfriend dresses their dog up? That might be enough for anybody to go on a sugar binge and end up in rehab.

Taio Cruz admits to offering song

Posted on Nov 18, 2009 under Girls Aloud | No Comment

It looks like the producer and singer recently came out and spilled the beans on how he originally offered his widely-known hit, “Break Your Heart”, to Cheryl Cole. This is what Taio Cruz said on the matter: “I wrote a couple of songs sent them over to her people – one of them was ‘Break Your Heart,’ the other was ‘Stand Up.’ Her record company heard it and I guess they were dilly dallying a little bit so they came back and they were too late for ‘Break Your Heart,’ so we put it out as me.” Well, Cheryl Cole probably had Girls Aloud to consider at the time… it’s good that Taio Cruz came out and said it though. Any other secrets he’d like to share with the rest of the class?
