Courtney Love Moves Out

Posted on Oct 29, 2009 under Courtney Love, Singers | No Comment

I have some good news for the residents of LA – Courtney Love is moving out! The washed up rock singer and incoherent blogger has packed up and gotten the heck out of Malibu and is now officially living in New York City. New Yorkers can blame the move on Courtney’s “double-crossing employees” for staging bogus police raids on her Malibu home in an attempt to get a piece of Kurt Cobain’s fortune – or so she says. She also said claims that her phone had been tapped and computer could have been hacked into. There’s some evidence though that her employees attempted to place fund “to senior citizen housing developments and property all throughout the United States”. It’s hard being Courtney Love.

Bon Jovi Raise Prices

Posted on Oct 29, 2009 under Bon Jovi, Concert | No Comment

Bon Jovi is pretty much charging an arm and a leg for the band’s upcoming gigs at the O2 Arena in London and their fans are pretty upset about it. The upper tier ranges from 45 to 75 pounds while floor seating costs up to 200 pounds. An angry fan even started a website voicing concerns over ticket prices, explained “This means I’d have to pay £200 to get a good spot to see the band perform. Last time they played London I paid £75 for the same spot. And then I’m not even talking about the booking fees…” I have to admit – the prices are steep for any concert really, much less a Bon Jovi concert.

Garth Brooks Sells Out

Posted on Oct 29, 2009 under Las Vegas, Music | No Comment

After Garth Brooks announced that he was coming out of his retirement and performing at the Wynn Las Vegas resort, tickets to the country singer’s first 20 shows sold out in less than five hours. I’m not surprised at all considering that Garth is one of the best selling solo music acts ever. Garth signed a five-year deal with Steve Wynn to perform 15 weeks of shows a year with the first one going down on December 11. The tickets cost $125 and that still doesn’t include all those pesky convenience charges. He better give his fans a good show if people are forking over that kind of cash in the crappy economy that we’re all in.

Cheryl Cole Tops Girls Aloud Record

Cheryl Cole’s debut single ‘Fight for this Love’ has topped the UK sales record that was set by the singer’s group Girls Aloud. The band’s 2002 single ‘Sound of the Underground’ sold 213,000 copies in its first week of sales but Cheryl’s new single sold over 231,000 units in the first five days of its release alone. Wow! Congratulations are definitely due for her. With Cheryl coming out on top of her own group’s sales record, it’s pretty safe to say that she has made a good start with her solo career. I wonder if she’s going to shatter any more records.
