A property lawsuit against actor Leonardo DiCaprio has been dropped by a judge in LA.
The 34-year-old actor and his cousin Robert Hrtica were sued in 2007 by couple Ronald and Joan Linclau for trespass, nuisance and negligence.
The couple were looking for at least $250,000 in damages after, according to their lawsuit, DiCaprio had a basketball court built outside his home in 2007 that they claim excavated some of their land and removed their plants.
The couple insisted that the home improvement undermined a slope that was behind their Hollywood Hills home and the support for their swimming pool.
They also claimed that DiCaprio knew the work would affect his neighbours’ property and ignored their demands.
However, DiCaprio’s lawyers say in his court papers that the couple’s installation of an “illegal railroad tie retaining wall” could have caused the destabilisation.
The actor’s legal team reportedly filed cross complaints against the contractors and the couple, requesting that the firm pay for any costs obtained against him.
