Joss Stone recently joined the cast of ‘The Tudors’ as Anne of Cleves, the fourth wife of King Henry VIII, played by Jonathan Rhys Meyers. The 22-year old British soul singer recently talked to People about her 16th century wardrobe saying “I enjoyed wearing the dresses. But the thing about Anne of Cleves is, she was not supposed to be attractive. Anne, let’s be honest, was described as quite frumpy and ugly. But hey, I did it! I did my best! They had no problem making me ugly. Lots of makeup!” Oh trust me Joss, they didn’t have to do a lot to make you ugly.

Former American Idol finalist, MICHAEL JOHNS will be performing his new single “Heart on My Sleeve” on The Ellen DeGeneres Show next Monday, May 25th. The Aussie vocalist will be releasing his first post-Idol solo album, Hold Back My Heart on June 23rd. Encouraged by his mentor David Foster, who invited Johns to appear on his star-studded David Foster And Friends PBS special in December 2008, Johns chose the road less traveled, and for the first time in his adult life, went to work on an album with no deal in place. “Foster always said that the secret of his success is to look at whatever lane is open in the music industry and take it,” Johns recalls. “And the way my record combines old and new, I could open for Alicia Keys one night and John Mayer the next, it’s right in the middle.” Songwriter Diane Warren, who penned the knee-buckling ballad “Heart Is Weak,” was another key endorsement. “There’s nothing more validating than having these heavyweights behind you,” says Johns. “It’s like screw winning American Idol when people like David Foster and Diane Warren are saying you have the real thing here.”
With an album completed and ready to turn in, Johns had the rare freedom to shop it around, and when Downtown Records, home to Gnarls Barkley, Cold War Kids and Santigold, showed interest in a licensing deal, he jumped at the opportunity to finally control his own fate. “I think we’re in the most exciting period of music ever, because there’s so many ways to do it,” he says. And like most of his plans thus far, Johns is thinking big for his future. “The live show is going to be great,” he says excitedly. “I might even take it old school with different bands in different towns — almost like what Chuck Berry and all those guys used to do.”
Tune in to see Michael Johns on The Ellen DeGeneres Show next Monday, May 25th. Check your local listings for times.

Katie Price reportedly had a drunken snog with a man she thought looked like Gareth Gates, according to reports.
Barman Ben Norman, 19, was outside Bristol’s Flamingo Club on a cigarette break when the 30-year-old model spotted him and reportedly said: “You look just like Gareth Gates.”
Price has previously told how she took Gates’s virginity when they dated seven years ago while she was pregnant with her son Harvey.
Norman said: “Kate appeared very drunk and was ranting. Then she looked at me and said: ‘I would.’ It didn’t even bother her I am gay.”
He added: “I enjoyed being kissed by her. It was so weird. She must have fond memories of Gareth. I’m gay, but to be honest I think I would go straight for her.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie reportedly had their minders clear the bathroom of people when they needed the toilet at a party in Cannes.
The Hollywood couple recently attended the premiere of Brad’s new film Inglourious Basterds and were spotted at an after-party.
Brad, 45, and Angelina, 33, were reportedly accompanied by two armed police and five bodyguards with dogs at the party.
Guests were reportedly terrified when they were thrown out of the bathrooms each time one of the pair needed the loo.
But the pair left their high-security area at the bash to dance the night away with each other, it is claimed.

American Idol judge Simon Cowell told how he was “there for” ex-girlfriend Terri Seymour after a 200-pound woman tried to strangle her – and says he “always will be”.
The sharp-tongued star told how Terri called him following the “frenzied attack” by a “crazy girl” at the Idol final in LA.
In an interview with Idol host Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS FM radio show, Cowell said: “It was literally a frenzied attack – nearly strangled. She called me….
“It was just some crazy girl. It was bad. I really, really felt sorry for her.”
He added: “I was there for her, Ryan. That’s the important thing. Always will be.”
Cowell joked the fan must have been jealous of his relationship with showbiz reporter Terri, whom he has remained close to, despite their split.
He said: “Naturally I assumed it was somebody who was jealous.”
Cowell also gave his verdict on fellow judge Cara DioGuardi’s bikini stunt during the final.
Asked what he thought when saucy Cara flashed the flesh, he said: “Good body – for her age.
“That’s a compliment.”
