Gwyneth Paltrow said she will be staying in London, despite removal vans spotted outside the star’s home.
The 36-year-old is currently filming Iron Man 2 in Los Angeles and will be spending the next few months there before taking an annual summer trip to New York.
It was reported the move could be permanent after removal vans were spotted taking items out of the star’s London home, which she shares with husband Chris Martin and their two children.
But her spokesman, Stephen Huvane, said: “They are not moving house – just removing and replacing some things. Gwyneth has always lived in the US for half of the year and the UK the other half.”
He added, according to MTV News: “She will be working on Iron Man 2 for the next three to four months in Los Angeles and then she usually spends her summer in New York.”

Oscar-winning actress Penelope Cruz has revealed she has a lot of insecurities but growing older isn’t one of them.
The 34-year-old beauty said: “I’ve always had my insecurities, and most of them have not gone away. I guess we’re all vulnerable.”
She added that she isn’t afraid of getting older and admires the older actors in the industry.
Penelope said to Britain’s Cosmopolitan magazine: “Age holds absolutely no fear for me. I’m working with Judi Dench on my film Nine. When she’s in a room, it’s as if she has a lightbulb inside her. She just lights it up!”
She added: “People like Meryl Streep and Sophia Loren. Sophia is 74 and amazing – every time I talk to her, she’s full of wonderful stories about old actors. We’ve become very good friends.”

Did you know that Dennis Quaid is a bona fide rock star? Yes, I am talking about that Dennis Quaid. The more famously known as an actor Dennis and his band The Sharks recently performed at Aqua Lounge last week. His overly enthusiastic, sweat fuelled performance was more convincing than any moment in his movie ‘The Day After Tomorrow’. Maybe he was right in going for a singing career. I have no idea if he actually sounds good though. However, we all know how idiotic actors turned musicians can be. They all just turn out to be wannabes. Just look at Joaquin Phoenix.
