The actress and the famous illusionist have decided to end their relationship due to a mutual agreement that it does not fit in with their career plans. A source had this to say about it: “She was very much in love with him and they’re still very close friends. It was a conflict of schedules. She felt she couldn’t devote 100 per cent of her time in Vegas and his career at the expense of her career and her goals. It was a tough decision for her to make and come back to Los Angeles and pursue her career. She still has very intense feelings for him.” Why does this “we can’t go on because of our careers” seem to be just a bit of a façade for a real break-up. But then again, Holly Madison and Chriss Angel probably made the right choice with it, no point in attracting more meaningless press coverage.
An Amy Winehouse insider is adding fuel to the fire that the British singer is planning on making her current vacation spot, St. Lucia, a second home. The source told People magazine “She doesn’t need to come back to the U.K. for anything in particular. She will return at some point. But she’s getting everything she needs to do done in St. Lucia at the moment.” It surely wouldn’t hurt her music career as the source also adds “She can go into a studio over there if she wants. Her record company [Island] is in Jamaica, so it can be arranged.”
Everyone’s in denial of having money problems. Former 80s pop star Deborah Gibson is saying through her mouth piece that she isn’t having money problems. Then what’s with the Notice of Default that was filed on her Hollywood Hills home? The publicist said “Much to the chagrin of media everywhere, Deborah is simply moving in with her boyfriend of the last year (doctor/documentarian Rutledge Taylor). As we all know, [this] is the right time to sell…and, this was it for her.” According to records, Debbie’s 1700-square foot home was purchased for $1.275 million in 2005 but is currently being sold for $995,000. The $280,000 loss doesn’t make sense.
Expect everything to be rosy for the Slumdog Millionaire cast starting with star Freida Pinto. Freida Pinto has been getting lots of publicity not only because of her great performance in the movie but because of her great fashion sense so expect to see more of her in Hollywood movies. This early, Freida Pinto has already picked her dream leading man and that is Titanic superstar and favorite Kate Winslet (who won the Oscar’s Best Actress) leading man Leonardo DiCaprio. Freida Pinto admits she had a big crush on Leonardo DiCaprio wayback in high school and she even has a scrapbook with his pictures on it. And given the chance she would gladly work with Leonardo DiCaprio whom she met during the Palm Springs Film Festival this year.
But if things do not work out right and her dream of getting Leonardo Di Caprio as her leading man does not come true then she would gladly settle for Jack Nicholson. Whew! Freida Pinto said she is dying to meet Jack Nicholson but has not seen him in any of the events she has been going into lately. However, Freida PInto’s dream of working with these guys will have to wait as she has just signed up for a project with Woody Allen where she will be seen with Anthony Hopkins, Josh Brolin and Naomi Watts.
New Kids On The Block have just premiered the video for their song “2 in the Morning.” Shot at a mansion in Pacific Palisades, CA, the video follows a feuding couple throughout the house. Donnie describes the concept of the piece as “somewhat based on a very literal translation of the song with a twist.”

Winning the Oscars would have completed Mickey Rourke’s second lease on Hollywood life. But come to think of it, after a hiatus in his career, being nominated for Best Actor category to the Oscars Award along with notable actors like Sean Penn and Brad Pitt would have been enough to celebrate his second life in Hollywood. Mickey Rourke’s career was more than over when he made a major comeback thanks to a starring role in “The Wrestler”. Even the role he was playing had a real-life similarity since the lead character in The Wrestler is a former fighter whose best days are long gone.

Rumors are going around that the end may be near for Clay Aiken’s record deal. His label, RCA, has been removing Clay from their roster little by little, with the deletion of his official RCA message board and press materials from the label’s website. Clay was also not present at the opening of the American Idol Experience at Disney World. The only thing that’s left to get this rumor cemented as a fact is an official announcement from RCA. I’ve got a feeling that unlike other fallen Idols, Clay will find his way back on his feet. There’s always Broadway.
Now it can be said, the Dark Knight is not only a critically-acclaimed movie with one of its lead stars deceased Heather Ledger being nominated (and won in some of them) Best Supporting Actor for various awards including the prestigious Academy Awards this Sunday. The Dark Knight is in fact also a certified blockbuster having surpassed the $1 billion worldwide boxoffice mark. This despite lead star Christian Bale’s misfortune in the court of public opinion no thanks to his mouthy attitude. Warner Bros must be proud—of the boxoffice record, not Christian Bale.
The Dark Knight may not win all eleven Academy Awards but it has a great chance of winning at least eight awards come Oscars night. That would be a bonus considering it has made history as the fourth all-time box office grosser next to the $1.84 billion earnings of Titanic, the $1.12 billion earnings of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King and the $1.07 billion earnings of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. Of the total earnings for The Dark Knight, $533.1 million was grossed in United States theaters while $468 was grossed overseas. Warner Bros also announced that the $64.9 million worldwide gross of the The Dark Knight also made it the top-grossing 2-D IMAX release of all time

Chris Brown is in dire straits and he is struggling with the juggling he has been made to do post his hipped fight with former girlfriend Rihanna. In an attempt to save his career from being ruined the R&B singer has hired the representative of Hollywood actor Mel Gibson hoping that he stop the damage already done from extending.
Chris is facing a possible jail term after being charged by the Los Angeles Police Department with making criminal threats to his former girlfriend singer Rihanna in the wee hours of the morning on February 8th.
Firstly this is certain not his decision cos it he were that smart then he wouldn’t have smacked his girlfriend in the face and stay there to be caught by the police but whoever has suggested Mel’s rep to Chris knows that Mel lives a dignified life free of alcohol to the extent he does not misbehave.
But now that he has committed a crime he cannot expect someone to salvage his reputation by saying he look he’s done something wrong and he repents for his actions now give him a break kinda stuff. The law will take its own legal action.
After the controversy hounding the children featured in the Oscar nominated “Slumdog Millionaire” movie they will finally be seen on the Academy red carpet this Sunday. The Slumdog Millionaire kids are on a roll and are headed to the Oscar’s! Fox Searchlight Pictures’ James Finn said the nine actors from India who appeared in the movie are set to make their first trip out of India and to Hollywood. They will all be staying in a five-star hotel as they wait for the fate of Slumdog Millionaire which is up for 10 Oscars.
Nine-year old Rubina Ali, who is the envy of her friends for her good fate, said she is very happy about being able to go to the Oscars. Rubina, who will be traveling with her uncle, said she is not scared of the trip and will be taking lots of pictures to show to people back home. Director Danny Boyle and his team picked all the children who appeared in the film right from their Mumbai slum homes. Boyle was however hounded by accusations that the kids were underpaid and have remained poor.

Oscar nominee Kate Winslet earlier admitted she has imperfect skin sans makeup. It’s Kelly Clarkson’s turn to admit imperfection this time around as she said the perfect-looking photo of her on the cover of her “All I Ever Wanted” CD has been photoshopped. Clarkson, who is projecting a sexy image, said no one wakes up perfect and little girls should be aware of this.
Clarkson, who was in a Dove-sponsored self-esteem workshop last February 11, said everyone whose face is in the magazine has been photoshopped. She said even the world’s most beautiful girl Beyonce gets photoshopped too and that just proves they are human. The 26-year old singer said she also gets hurt when people pick on her and her size but no one can please everyone so she has stopped trying. Clarkson knows where she’s coming from, having been a winner of the American Idol. She chided people for embarrassing women for having cellulite and said of course, women have cellulite because they are not fembots!

The world’s sexiest man is hosting the Oscars ceremony and he promises it will be intimate. Hugh Jackman said he will definitely enjoy the Oscars and will have a good time even if he knows this is not about him. The key here is to celebrate and have a good time, he said, because if he is not going to have a good time then how can anybody else have a good time? The X-men star kept mum on how the February 22 Oscars will go about but gave a hint by saying it will be an intimate one.
Bill Condon and Laurence Mark, producers of the Academy Awards, said they are set to take the Oscars to a new direction and getting Jackman as a host is only the first step. Jackman may be sexy and muscle-bearing but underneath the guy is an able host as he proved when he previously hosted the Tony Awards. He however admitted that the Oscars is a different beast compared to the Tony’s but he got good tips from comedian and host Steve Martin who told him to just be quick. While he refused to name his favorites among the nominees he admitted he is rooting for fellow Australian, the late Heath Ledger who is nominated for best supporting actor for his role as Joker in “The Dark Knight”.
