During his checkered and illustrious career Clint Eastwood has probably seen it all and may a bit more than what he expected but at the winter box office last week his movie “Gran Torino” managed to rake in $29 million which is incidentally the best movie opening of his career.
What is even more astounding that the movie was initially in limited release for four weeks. But as movie goers started revving up to the story the prints jumped from 84 theaters to 2,808.
It was while directing this movie that Clint had famously commented that this movie would probably be his last as an actor and ever since then there has been tremendous interest amongst old and newbie fans to catch the legend on screen one last time.
I knew Gran Torino would be #1.Go Clint GO! Everything Clint touches turns to gold. Good for him!
