Natalie Portman rues decision to stay with her folks

Star Wars’ Princess Amidala may be a toughie when it comes to battling intergalactic decisions but here’s one decision she found out is really tough to live up to—going back to her parent’s home and living with them. Portman admitted she made the wrong decision to move back to her parents’ home after she broke up with Devendra Banhart, her musician boyfriend.

Portman and Banhart met during the filming of the music video Carmensita last March. She allegedly moved to Los Angeles to be closer to Banhart but now that they are not together anymore, Portman opted to return home to her parents. And while the two have remained friends after the split up they need time and space away from each other.

This 27-year old star who was a revelation in Boleyn Girls said she is temporarily residing with her parents because she is homeless. However, she added that living with them is a difficult experience. At first, she thought it was cool being able to go home to a good meal but it later turned out to be troublesome.

The last time Portman was in the news was when she admitted her regrets about stripping for the movie Hotel Chevalier. Her sex scene with Jason Schwartzman in the movie required her to be naked and while she is not a prude, she regretted the fact that her photos ended up in porn sites.

Jessica Alba: new look, new movie

Posted on Nov 14, 2008 under Jessica Alba, Movie Premiers, Movies | No Comment

Take a look at her and pinch yourself. She may have just given birth a few months ago but look at her now—heavy fringe, a seductive look and wait— a new movie! Jessica Alba’s new fringed-seductress look was snapped up during the 5th Annual Black Ball for “Keep A Child Alive”.

Alba is reportedly preparing for a new movie “The Killer Inside Me” where she will co-star with Oscar nominee Casey Affleck. Affleck became popular for his scary portrayal in “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford”. Well, his fans would not be disappointed because here’s another dark movie which was based on the classic novel of Jim Thompson.

In the movie, Affleck will play the role of a West Texas Sheriff named Lou Ford who is portrayed as a boring guy on the outside but is disturbed and paranoid inside. Alba essays the role of a prostitute—so maybe that explains the fringe and the sultry look!

Alba is popularly known for her role in Fantastic Four where she plays Invisible Girl. Let’s hope she would be more visible in the movie because looking at her post-pregnancy bod, it would be such a waste to just keep it invisible for “The Killer Inside Me!”

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Hugh Jackman team up for A Fine Romance

The fervent wish of fans who are be dying to see Catherine Zeta-Jones and Hugh Jackman together has finally been granted last weekend not in a movie or a musical but right at the Sony Pictures Los Angeles lot where they hosted “A Fine Romance”, an event that honored the best screen and stage shows in the past.

The appearance of both Zeta-Jones and Jackman as co-hosts of the said event has only flamed the still unconfirmed reports that the two are indeed pairing up for a big-budgeted musical. Sources are adamant that negotiations for the screen adaptation of Cleopatra are already underway but both Jackman and Zeta-Jones are mum about it.

The 3D film about Cleopatra, Antony and Caesar, which is also set in the 1920s much like Zeta-Jones’ “Chicago”, will reportedly be directed by Steven Soderbergh. The 1962 Cleopatra movie, which starred Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton and Rex Harrison, is known to be the most famous Cleopatra. The highly-budgeted film flopped in the box office but earned a best picture nomination and even got four Oscar Awards.

While the camps of Jackman and Zeta-Jones are keeping things hush-hush their fans can still enjoy their movies albeit separately—with Zeta Jones in “The Rebound” and Jackman in “Australia”.

Lindsay Lohan does not deny her relationship with Samantha Ronson but she does not want to be classified as a lesbian. So would bisexual be more appropriate? She says “Maybe.” Lindsay’s Harper bazaar Magazine cover for December has once again placed her in the limelight, more particularly her sexuality. Lindsay and Samantha are an item and have been see around and while she does not specifically mention Sam’s name, Lindsay admits she is seeing a wonderful person whom she loves.

In her Harper interview, Lindsay said what is important is believing in what you one to do and not being afraid of who you want to be no matter if you prefer a boy or a girl. There are rumors that Lindsay and Sam are tying the knot and her dad does not have any qualms about it except that he will definitely not give her away. Lindsay’s dad said his daughter knows his beliefs and will probably not ask him to give her away in marriage if she does get married to Sam.

Lindsay has already admitted she has a lesbian lover when she turned 22. It is already out in the open that she is playing house with Sam who is a musician and is the sister of music producer Mark Ronson. Sam is also open about their relationship and has even posted their intimate photos (READ: kissing) on MySpace.

Short of being tolerant, Ms. Lohan’s close family and friends said Lohan’s wild ways seems to have been curbed thanks to her girlfriend Sam.
