A source was present at the taping of ‘Idol Tonight’ on the TV Guide Channel where American Idol wannabe David Hernandez was reportedly pumping season 1 runner up Justin Guarini for advice during commercial breaks. I hardly think that taking career advice for the star of ‘From Justin to Kelly’ is a good idea. Anyway, Justin was overheard telling the castoff that “The sky’s the limit man, just get it while it’s hot” and also encouraged him to “make decisions for himself.” In fairness, it was pretty sound advice. But if all else fails, I’m sure ‘Idol Tonight’ could always use a third Idol reject host.

For those who didn’t hear it before, Joy Behar asked it for us on The View. She said to Barack Obama, presidential candidate, “I understand that you’re related to Brad Pitt, in some way.”

The claim was originally made by the New England Historic Genealogical Society, saying that Brad and Barack are distant cousins. They are related through a man named Edwin Hickman, who died in 1769 in Virginia.

Barack said, “I guess we’re ninth cousins, something, removed - or something. I think he got the better looking side of the gene pool.”

There are actors trying to become musicians and there are musicians trying to become actors. Joss Stone is the latest to attempt her luck at the big screen as the soul singer has signed on to star in a new British comedy called ‘Snappers’ which is set to begin filming next month. The show is about a British actress who’s in town to film a new movie but she’s hounded by the paparazzi so she decided to stay with the cast and crew at a local caravan park to avoid the pesky photographers. The rest of the plot features comedic scenes that could pretty much have been based on Britney Spears’ life. And by the way, Joss is set to play a lesbian.

After splitting with husband Russell Simmons in March 2006, Kimora Lee finally files for divorce in an L.A. court. She cites “irreconcilable differences” and asks for custody of the couple’s daughters, Ming, age 8, and Aoki, age 5. She does request that Russell be given “reasonable child visitation…to be accompanied at all times by the children’s nanny and security personnel.”

It has been rumored that Kimora is pregnant with her boyfriend Djimon Hounsou. She says, “I’m in the paper every single week…lies upon lies upon lies.”

Simon Cowell lashed out at someone after David Archuleta’s performance last night and if you’ve been reading the news, then I’m sure you know who I’m talking about. On Tuesday’s performance show, Simon told David that “I don’t think that is you at all and I’d be amazed if you chose the song yourself.” Sources are saying that Simon is blaming the fiasco on David’s dad Jeff. Jeff is reportedly the worst stage dad ever. If he really wants his son to win, I’d suggest he just step out of the way. It looks like he’s causing more harm than good in David’s American Idol stint.

She had her twin boys back in October, just 2 months after posing nude for Playboy, but Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon is showing them off now.  See them all on the cover of Jet.

The babies joined mom and her husband, father Mike Nilon.  Of her decision to be in Playboy, Garcelle says, “I wasn’t doing this for anyone other than to prove I could do it.”

Guy Ritchie’s dad has insisted his son’s marriage to Madonna is not in trouble — and they have no plans to split.

John Ritchie, 78, spoke out after constant rumours the Queen of Pop was set to move back to America, leaving Lock Stock director husband Guy behind in Britain.

Last week the pair were seen together for the first time in weeks.

But John said: “They’re happy. I was shocked when I read they were supposed to be having problems. They’ve been running around different places. That’s why they haven’t been seen together.”

Madonna, 49, has been publicising new album Hard Candy and Guy, 39, has been working on a new film. They have been wed seven years, have three children and own homes in London and Wiltshire.

John added: “She won’t be going out to America to live for good. They’ve got lovely places here.”

Jennifer Lopez is in no rush to lose her baby weight.

The ‘Do It Well’ singer – who gave birth to twins Max and Emme with husband Marc Anthony on February 22 – is more concerned with enjoying motherhood than losing the post-pregnancy pounds, according to People magazine editor Peter Castro.

He said: “The twins were almost 6lbs each when they were born. And right now, yes, Jennifer has lost a lot of the weight, but she is in no rush to lose all of it. She is enjoying motherhood and that is what she is concentrating on.”

Castro, who spoke to Jennifer ahead of the release of world exclusive photos of the twins in People, also revealed the 38-year-old star was unbelievably proud to be a mother.

He said: “Jennifer described it as the most magical time of her life. She said, ‘You know what? You can win an Oscar, you can win a Golden Globe, and as an ambitious artist you strive for those things. But when you have a kid, all of that is irrelevant.’ This is what is most important to her. As she said, ‘As a woman this is the biggest thing that can happen to me.’”

Junkie Blake Fielder-Civil has begged wife Amy Winehouse to secretly fund his drug habit behind bars.

The lowlife, 25, told fellow lags he had asked the singer to make payments into the bank account of another con, who would then pass him heroin. He is being held on remand on assault and trial-fixing charges at London’s tough Pentonville jail.

And a prison source revealed: “Blake’s addiction is just as bad as ever and he’s bragging about how he’s been asking Amy to help him get a fix. He showed us the bank details of a known dealer inside Pentonville and said he’d asked Amy to make regular wire transfers to this guy in exchange for heroin. Apparently he wanted each transfer to end in a single pound, so the dealer would know who the money came from.”

The asking price for each “wrap” is said to be £100; four times its street value.

And the source said: “Blake doesn’t care as long as he gets his hit. He’s prepared to put his wife at risk. It shows how desperate he’s become.”

Meanwhile Pentonville’s security chief Andy Watts has written to Blake’s solicitors warning: “There is strong and supported intelligence he is involved in attempting to smuggle drugs into the prison.”

Believe it or not, American Idol’s resident meanie actually does have a heart. A family in Minnesota know this better than most of us.

Randy and Amy Stoen went on Oprah to talk about their daughter Madelaine’s medical condition. She has a rare form of facial cancer. A friend told Simon Cowell about it, and he paid their mortgage off. Wow.

He actually went on Oprah’s show himself to tell them. He said, I know that you’re having problems with your mortgage. And as of this afternoon, your mortgage has been paid off. If there’s any problems, you know, I’m a guardian angel now.”
