This is one of those stranger news items. Britney Spears is apparently taking fashion tips from Katie Holmes. I’m not sure if she’s really just influenced or if it’s a matter of having no identity of her own and needing to steal someone else’s. She was recently commenting about how cute Holmes always looks in her classy, designer duds. She went on to say she would like to do the same, complete with all of the trimmings. This story is alarming because I think it shows the mind frame she is still in and it doesn’t appear all that strong. It wasn’t that long ago that she had her breakdown and shaved her head. She has done nothing but cover it up with wigs ever since so I’d hardly say it has worked to strengthen her view of herself. Copying another woman’s wardrobe shows that she is seeing in others what she wants to be seen in her. We can all relate somehow but in her case, it seems to be going to extremes.

Hilton says jail was ‘traumatic’

US heiress Paris Hilton has described as “traumatic” the time she spent in a Los Angeles prison for violating probation on a driving ban.
Appearing on CNN’s Larry King talk show she said: “It was a very traumatic experience but I feel like God does make everything happen for a reason.”

She said she was going to party less and be a “more responsible role model”.

The 26-year-old was released from jail on Tuesday after serving 23 days of a 45-day sentence.

In her first televised interview since her release, Paris Hilton said she wanted people to know what she had gone through and insisted she should not have been jailed in the first place.

She said she had panic attacks and nightmares that someone would break into her cell and do harm to her, and that her small cell had exacerbated her claustrophobia.

“I think the crime did not fit the punishment. I don’t feel like I deserved to go to jail,” she said, during the hour-long show.

Hilton said she hated prison but it had been “a blessing in disguise”, and had given her an opportunity to re-evaluate her life.

“I just felt this is like a new beginning for me, just sitting in jail I just used it as a journey to figure out myself and who I am and what I want to do.

“There’s just so much more to me than what people think.”

She said she was encouraged by letters she had received from fans, including some from US soldiers serving in Iraq.

“I’ve definitely matured and grown a lot from this experience… I’ve gotten a lot of letters from mothers, and their daughters look up to me, and I want to be a good role model for these girls.”

In the future, Paris Hilton said she wanted to set up a half-way house to help women when they are released from jail.

Hilton, sentenced to 45 days on 3 June, was released early from the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California, due to crowded jail conditions and time off for good behavior.

She was briefly freed on medical grounds earlier this month but was sent back to jail by a court.

Breaking news for the paparazzi and break through for Paris Hilton. She is finally out free under the blue sky and freedom is now with her. Beaming for the cameras, Paris Hilton walked out of jail Tuesday morning after serving what she has called a life-changing sentence for violating probation in an alcohol-related driving case. Life changing, is she thinking of changing, then who’s gonna take care of those mad max reporters who lined up outside the jail complex to take a snap of the Hotel Heiress. These photographers need such pics so as to earn their living and she needs them to show to the world that she’s come out of jail smiling. Her release was broadcast live by cable news networks and local stations. Poor thing this girl has had to suffer just because she broke law in an alcohol related driving case, since when did a celebrity have enter jail for such offenses in America.

Lou Pearlman back in mainland U.S.

The creator of the Backstreet Boys and ‘N Sync was back in the mainland U.S. and should return to Florida within two weeks to face bank fraud charges, authorities said Monday.

Lou Pearlman, 53, was flown to Los Angeles, the U.S. Marshal’s Office said. He had been detained in the U.S. territory of Guam after being expelled by Indonesian authorities earlier this month.

He was charged with one count of bank fraud in a criminal complaint filed in March and unsealed after his arrest.

Pearlman is accused of fraudulently securing about $20 million in loans for himself and his companies using bogus financial documents from a fake accounting firm.

He also faces a number of civil complaints, and his assets have been liquidated in two bankruptcy cases.

Pearlman is most famous for forming ’90s boy bands, but was also involved in airplane charter, real estate, model scouting and restaurant ventures.

Playboy’s Hefner approves movie about his life

Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner’s wild life is being turned into a feature film that will look at his social activism as well as his sexual exploits, Daily Variety reported on Monday.

“Playboy” will be directed by Brett Ratner, the filmmaker behind the “Rush Hour” movies, the trade paper said. It is being produced for Universal Pictures by Brian Grazer, who won the best picture Academy Award for “A Beautiful Mind.”

Hefner, 81, who sold his life rights to Grazer several years ago, approved the duo’s vision for the project last week, Daily Variety said.

“Hefner came from a puritanical upbringing and reinvented himself to be the godfather of the sexual revolution,” Daily Variety quoted Ratner as saying. “He broke all kinds of taboos, especially in sexuality. I want to show it all, from the First Amendment struggles to his first orgy to the stroke in the 1980s that almost killed him.”

Hefner founded Playboy in 1953, turning a $600 investment and a picture of Marilyn Monroe into one of the most successful publishing empires in history.
He coaxed along the sexual revolution of the 1960s and used the pages of his magazine to write lengthy articles fighting censorship and promoting various other libertarian causes.

Looks like Courtney Love is planning on selling her late husband’s things. All in the memory of her late husband and well and truly what better way to memorialize her hubby? After all these years being a successful actress we should now assume that has not been able to earn even so much that the need has arisen she plans to pair up with Christie’s auction to put Kurt Cobain’s stuff up for sale. She plans to “make a lot of money and give a bunch of it to charity.” Uh, OK. These filthy rich people just wouldn’t want to miss a single opportunity to make big bucks quickly even if it would’ve meant selling their parents house to make the money. For these guys memories would certainly matter but not at the cost of money itself. Yeah, go sell off everything and sell off yourself if it could fetch you some more money, honey.

Paris Hilton’s New Frame of Mind

It seems that since her release date looms closer and closer the once perky socialite is beginning to cheer up. The most recent news from the Hilton camp is that Paris is experiencing a new kind of gratitude. Apparently her appreciation for life is increasing and she can’t wait to return home to her parents. For a prisoner she sure seems to get a lot of phone time with Ryan Seacrest. I guess someone in Hollywood believes that we all want regular updates. Maybe some people do but that in itself is as unhealthy as Hilton’s skeletally slender frame. She now seems to have a realization that the media was poking fun at her all of these years. A promise to do more positive things with her barely earned fame is enough to make me admonish no one to hold their breath. I’m sure once she is turned loose with cell phone and credit card in hand it will be just the same as before this entire shenanigan came about.

What goes on in the heads of these ladies that think they could have a gay man make love to them which is quite absurd? George Michael has a well documented history of being linked to men and well drugs are his passion quite frequently. Donald Trump’s ex-wife Ivana is such a big fan of George that she almost cracked her vocals cheering the pop star. The 58 year old former Olympic athlete and fashion model said that she had a great time at the former ‘Wham!’ singer’s recent concert at the new Wembley stadium. It was an honor bestowed upon the singer which could well have been reserved for the likes of Elton John and other peers. And I can’t really understand the wisdom the Ivana in going on high heels for this man, but then there is no greater reason why the world of these celebrity people is under constant glare. We all like to know the madness that goes on in their lives.

Nicole Richie Gets Reprieve In Drink-Driving Trial

The stars have a dangerous way of getting into the headlines and they know well that they are under the influence of alcohol and drugs but still brave the laws as if conquering Mt. Everest. They just know how to live life in their own comfort zone and then party till they create havoc. Reality TV star Cicole Richie can breathe easy for another 14 days and then she might have to take some tips from Paris Hilton who would have completed her jail term by then. The judge in the drink-driving case against her passed an order on Tuesday postponing the start of the trail but said there would not be any further delays. Richie was arrested in December for allegedly driving on the wrong side on a busy Los Angeles freeway under the influence of alcohol or drugs. May be she could ask Paris to commit another offense and the two could have eachother for company inside the prison at the same time. This thing if it would happen then it could vie to be the headline of the year.

Today when the same press or the paparazzi want to take her picture she doesn’t like them anymore. Photographers who cornered Heather Mills-McCartney to take her picture made her feel like a “trapped animal”, Brighton Magistrates’ Court has heard. Hey there like this is the game that you so willing played, what’s the matter today ain’t getting paid so well for those pictures or just to not wanna disclose the new person in your life. What ever the reason may be, it’s a give and take relation everywhere and may be it’s your time to give back some favours.

Birkhead says Dannielynn pouts like Anna

The father of Anna Nicole’s Smith 9-month-old daughter says that every time he looks at his daughter he remembers Anna:” She has long legs and chubby little toes exactly like Anna’s; it’s like a mirror image”, Birkhead tells OK! magazine in its latest issue. “It’s really incredible. And I think her lips are her mom’s lips; especially when she pouts. … She also gets what she wants exactly like her mom always did as soon as she’d pout.”
Smith died in Florida in February. She was 39. The former Playmate gave birth to her little daughter in September a few days before the death of her son, Daniel, 20, in the Bahamas.
Howard K. Stern, her lawyer and companion, initially claimed to be Dannielynn’s father, but Smith’s ex-boyfriend Birkhead eventually showed he was the father.
Birkhead is going to raise his daughter in Los Angeles although he complains about the paparazzi.
“I was a photographer and I understand they need a picture, but when they’re running you off the road and you’re in the car with your daughter and they’re putting lenses up to the car so that it’s like lightning in the car, it gets to be too much”, he tells the magazine.
He’s hired a woman to help him raise Dannielynn.
“She’s just there to assist me, not to take over any parenting. … I’m really hands-on, like too hands-on with my hand on the baby, a hand on the cell phone, a hand on the diaper”, says Birkhead, who jokes that he has “a supersonic sense of smell when it comes to diapers.”
Birkhead is also getting help from Stern.
Both men were in a Los Angeles courtroom Tuesday as a commissioner admitted Smith’s will to probate and ordered that Birkhead would be guardian of the estate while Stern serves as executor of the will.

Paris Hilton medical assessment

Paris Hilton’s medical condition is still being assessed in prison.
The hotel heiress, who was sent to the medical wing at California’s Century Regional Detention Center, in Lynwood, after spending four days in Los Angeles’ hospital jail Twin Towers Correctional Facility, is said to be “stable”.
However the hotel heiress condition is still being monitored and she is receiving the medical care she needs.
Los Angeles County Sheriff spokesperson Steve Whitmore said: “Her assessment is ongoing, but her condition is still stable. From here, it will be determined by medical staff whether an inmate can be moved back into the original module (cell block) where they were before. I don’t know when that day will be, it’s a day-by-day situation.
The spoke person also announced that Paris will be eligible for early release.
He said: “Ms. Hilton has been cooperative since her incarceration. Her good time/work time credit is accruing.”
The hotel heiress sentence of 45 days in jail was cut to 23 days for good behavior before she entered the facility last month.
However, her full sentence was reinstated after a judge overruled the decision to release Paris early on medical grounds.
Meanwhile, Paris was visited by her sister Nicky, Nicky’s boyfriend David Katzenberg and family friend Julie Araskog, at the weekend.
As they left Nicky was seen leaving a red package with correction officers.

Sara Caplan, Ex-Spector attorney, to be jailed?

The judge in Phil Spector’s murder trial threatened Thursday to jail a former attorney for the record producer if she refuses to testify about possible evidence that was never given to prosecutors. Superior Court Judge Larry Paul Fidler ordered the attorney, Sara Caplan, to be jailed until she testifies.

In a dramatic courtroom confrontation, Spector’s former lawyer, Sara Caplan, broke down in tears as she refused to testify before the jury against her former client.

In a hearing without the jury present, Superior Court Judge said he wanted to avoid holding Sara Caplan in contempt but saw no other choice. He deferred the issue until Monday to give attorneys time to negotiate a compromise and ordered the trial to resume with other witnesses.

Caplan said earlier, under oath, that she saw forensic scientist Henry Lee place a white object in a vial at Spector’s house. Prosecutors think it is a piece of Lana Clarkson’s acrylic nail that had been blown off by the bullet that killed her.

Angelina’s sibling support

Angelina Jolie’s brother flew to Europe to help her sister through the first Mother’s Day after their mother passed away, it has been reported.
Angelina’s elder brother James Heaven went to Prague where the actress is shooting her new film “Wanted” to be with her sister on May 13.
Angelina and James were devastated after their mother Marcheline Bertrand wasn’t able to beat her ovarian cancer and passed away in January.
A source is quoted by Britain’s Daily Express newspaper as saying: “They spent the night crying, looking at photos of Marcheline and talking about their childhood. James then spent a few days in Prague with his sister, her partner Brad Pitt and their children to make sure Angelina was back on her feet before he returned to the US.”
In an interview after their mother’s death James-also an actor- revealed that he and his sister feel as orphans although their father Jon Voight is alive.
James said: ”There were times when our father was awesome but my biggest memory is that he would look more to our faults than to our strengths, and that’s what was so hard. Now that our mother has died we’re two orphans, Angie and I, so she has a deep understanding of the orphans she adopts.”
Angelina and her partner Brad Pitt have three adopted kids- five-year-old Maddox, Zahara, two and three-year-old Pax Thien. They also have their own child- a one-year-old daughter Shiloh.
Another interesting fact about the couple is that they’re expected to get married pretty soon. Maybe this will help Angelina to overcome her mother’s death finally and be happy with her big family.

O.J.’s daughter must testify in book lawsuit

A federal bankruptcy judge ordered O.J. Simpson’s daughter Tuesday to give a deposition by week’s end in a lawsuit about the former football star’s canceled book, “If I Did It.”
A judge already ordered the bankrupt company owned by Simpson’s children to turn over any copies of the book in which the former NFL star explains how he might have committed the killings of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.
Simpson, who has maintained his innocence, was acquitted in 1995 of criminal charges in the deaths.
Goldman’s family wants to rename the book “Confessions of a Double Murderer” and sell it to collect part of the $33.5 million they won nearly a decade after a civil jury found Simpson liable for Goldman’s death.
Goldman attorneys have given up trying to depose O.J. Simpson after he canceled at the last minute two weeks ago. Goldman attorney Paul Battista said the Simpsons have failed to comply with court orders, including turning over copies of the book.
Simpson’s oldest daughter, Arnelle, is named as the head of Lorraine Brooke Associates, which owns the book’s rights.
Arnelle Simpson’s attorney, Kendrick Whittle, said his client does not have copies of the book. He said Goldman family attorneys were present when a trustee took her deposition and she should not be forced to “sit there and explain her life story in front of a camera”, again.
Lorraine Brooke, which struck a deal with HarperCollins to be included in an auction for the book’s rights, then filed for bankruptcy, putting the sale on hold. Arnelle Simpson sought to reorganize Lorraine Brooke, which would have allowed her to maintain temporary control over it, but Cristol ruled the company should be liquidated. He decided an independent trustee would control it.

Angelina Jolie Does Not Like Being Called Thin

If we eliminate anorexic individuals from the picture we are left with next to none when it comes to women that do not want to be called thin. Angelina Jolie is one of them. She really does not like it when people say she is thin. The reason behind her weight loss stands in the death of Marcheline Bertrand, her mother, earlier this year. At the premiere of her new movie, “A Mighty Heart” she told reporters that:

“Instead of people saying I look like a person dealing with something emotionally, they assume it’s because I want to fit into skinny jeans. Someone saying to me that I’m thin is not a compliment.”

It is also a case that she stopped breastfeeding and it seems that her nutrition is not that good at the moment. When she gets back on track she will put back the pounds that made her the sex symbol she is.

Britney Spears’ Mother is Thinking Possitive

According to Britney Spears’ mom, Lynne Spears, the pop star is just starting to figure things out. She declared for a US Weekly interview that:

“It’s sad that the whole world had to watch her make mistakes that all of us have made at one time or another. Everything is going to be good. Everything is going to be really good. I can see her life picking up and it’s just going to hold great things for her.”

Britney brought in an onslaught of attention from the media and had to retire at a rehabilitation centre in Malibu. She finished her stay there and now she needs to comeback in popularity after all of the wild things she did from marrying Kevin Federline to partying with Paris Hilton. The problem here is that no matter what Mrs. Spears says, Britney needs to fight hard to re-gain her once undisputed status of Queen of Pop.

Paris says she will no longer “act dumb”

Imprisoned hotel heiress Paris Hilton has said she believes God has given her a new chance and she plans to stop acting dumb and put her influence to good use.
Hilton called television journalist Barbara Walters on Sunday from the medical wing of a Los Angeles jail, where she is being held for violating probation in a drunken-driving case, and Walters recounted the conversation on her ABC television show “The View” on Monday.
“I’m not the same person I was”, Hilton told Walters. “I used to act dumb. It was an act. I am 26 years old, and that act is no longer cute. It is not who I am, nor do I want to be that person for the young girls who looked up to me. I know now that I can make a difference, that I have the power to do that. I have been thinking that I want to do different things when I am out of here. I have become much more spiritual. God has given me this new chance.”
Walters said Hilton told her she had not been wailing, sobbing or screaming during her first three days in prison, as had been reported.
She asked Hilton what had led to her being “reassigned” to house arrest.
“I was not eating or sleeping. I was severely depressed and felt as if I was in a cage. I was not myself. It was a horrible experience”, Hilton said.
“I feel that the purpose of my life is to be where I am”, Hilton told Walters. “My spirit or soul did not like the way I was being seen and that is why I was sent to jail. God has released me.”
When she is released, Hilton said, she might like to help in the fields of breast cancer or multiple sclerosis, diseases that her grandmothers suffered, or build a “Paris Hilton playhouse” for sick children.
Hilton, who said other inmates had been friendly, added that her skin was very dry because she was not allowed any moisturizer.
“It doesn’t matter”, she said, “I’m not that superficial girl. I haven’t looked in the mirror since I got here.”
