Love Hewitt Whispered to Be a Reneger

Jennifer Love Hewitt is enjoying her role on CBS’s series, “Ghost Whisperer,” so much so that she’s evidently too good to pay up on certain business deals. Jennifer is being sued because she has reneged on a verbal contract to pay a percentage of her earnings from the show to her former management, Handprint Entertainment LLC. You can kind of see why they are considered her former management firm, considering she isn’t paying them.
Jennifer’s attorney calls the suit “without merit,” and I think it’s largely because the contract was never in writing. Plausible deniability people, look it up. The next time you want money from an actor, make sure to get them to sign on the dotted line. Otherwise, you won’t be able to get them to return your phone calls when it is time to pay up.
