Angelina Jolie’s secret wedding

Angelina Jolie is secretly planning a lavish wedding for her and her lover Brad Pitt, it has been reported.
The actress – who has been married twice before – is said to have secretly accepted Brad’s marriage proposal, and is now organising a ceremony which will dwarf the actor’s 2000 $1 million wedding to Jennifer Aniston.
A source told Grazia magazine: “Angelina has been reluctant to get married for a third time, for obvious reasons. Brad has been persistent and has now given in, but she wants the day to be really memorable. While she doesn’t want it to be unnecessarily lavish, that’s not her style, it will still be an event Hollywood will never forget. She also wants their children to see it as a huge celebration of her and Brad’s love for them. The daytime part of the celebration will be for the kids, with clowns and balloons and fire-eaters. But then the real party will begin in the evening.”
Angelina – who has three adopted children, Maddox, five, Pax Thien, three and Zahara, two, and a biological daughter with Brad, one-year-old Shiloh – is to start looking at dates and venues in the autumn.
While Brad and Jennifer served lobster at their nuptials seven years ago, Angelina is said to be keen on hiring a celebrity chef to specially create a dish for the event.
The source added: “The wedding could end up being twice the size of the one Brad had with Jennifer.”
Brad, 43, was still married to Jennifer when he met Angelina on the set of their action movie ‘Mr. and Mrs. Smith’.
Angelina was previously married to actors Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton.

Lindsay Lohan will return to rehab

Lindsay Lohan is to check back into rehab this week.
The ‘Mean Girls’ star – who was arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) on Saturday (26.05.07) – is to check into Malibu’s Promises centre, where Britney Spears was recently treated.
A source told In Touch Weekly magazine: “She realises it’s the right thing to do. She is going willingly.”
Insiders say Lindsay insisted she didn’t care about the consequences of her arrest after cocaine was found in her car after Saturday’s crash.
She was photographed later that night looking dishevelled and worse for wear in the front passenger seat of a car being driven by her DJ friend Samantha Ronson.
Lindsay was driving her black Mercedes convertible on Saturday when she clipped the curb and hit bushes on Sunset Boulevard at 5.30am.
Los Angeles Police Lieutenant Mitch McCann – who is heading the investigation – said the actress was not seriously injured but was taken to Century City Doctors Hospital for treatment for minor chest injuries.
McCann also revealed a “usable amount” of cocaine was recovered from the severely damaged vehicle during the investigation.
Lindsay completed a 30-day course at Los Angeles’ Wonderland rehab facility checking in on February 16, and also attended Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
However, since leaving the facility the ‘Georgia Rule’ actress has been accused of secretly drinking vodka from a water bottle when out partying.
Meanwhile, Lindsay’s father has insisted she and her mother Dina should go to rehab.
Michael – who has be estranged from Lindsay since he was jailed for DUI and assault charges in 2005 – said: “The people out there in Hollywood with her are in it for the money. They want to see what they can get. She needs to go to rehab and my ex-wife Dina should go with her.”

Jessica Simpson faces fears

Jessica Simpson has confessed she has been “cowering from her true identity” and needs to face her fears.
The ‘Employee of the Month’ star had an epiphany during her recent trip to Europe, where she discovered her true self.
Jessica has now shared her new-found wisdom with her fans. She wrote on her website: “I just got back from spending some time in Europe, and while I was there I visited many museums, and have been reading about different artists. I was reading a book about Michelangelo and there were two quotes that caught my attention – ‘I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free’ and ‘Each time we face our fear, we gain strength, courage, and confidence in the doing.”
“These quotes inspired me to write the below passage. I hope you can find your own individual meaning in it, as I keep coming back to it and find new strength. Sometimes we are all so afraid to be honest with ourselves because we know that honesty will lead us somewhere off the path of the life we’ve mapped out in our minds. Paris Hilton to be tagged in prison

After the courts have halved the sentence on hotel heiress Paris Hilton to just 23 days in prison. Now during her stay in the jail Paris will be tagged with an alarm device to keep her safe from other inmates. She will be in touch with the prison guards 24 hours through the device. That is almost like guaranteeing safety to the inmate. And that’s not all Paris will be given a special unit “special needs” of the big house, which is reserved for high profile prisoners just like her. The United States has many high profile offenders very year and how does the prison take care of these rich and famous. Well they have built this unit especially for such people so that they can stay in comfort during the sentence and then not even feel as if they are serving a sentence. These celebrities are so accustomed to their life styles that even the governments make sure that they are kept happy in the jail. Now when Paris requires something out of the extra ordinary she just has use the device and the service shall be made available. How convenient!

Oh Matthew!

No it’s not some illegal lewd act in public. They’ve got permits! Filming permits that is. This steamy almost sex on the beach scene is from Matthew McConaughey and some unidentified actress’ new movie Surfer Dude. It’s filming in Malibu.

So all you Malibu people, there’s no need to call the cops when you see someone practically humping. It’s probably just Matthew, his amazing abs, his great tan, the movie, the movie’s love scenes and wow.

What I would give to be that girl… Oh well. I don’t want sand all over me. Still though. Hot! Hot! Hot! Can someone please give me the guy for my birthday? Please?

Johnny Depp’s Stone shock

Johnny Depp was shocked at how “great” an actor Keith Richards was.
The Hollywood actor, who appears alongside the Rolling Stones legend in new movie ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End’, admits Keith’s talent blew him away.
Speaking at the world premiere of the third installment of the hit movie series at Los Angeles’ Disneyland, Johnny said: “Obviously, Keith Richards invented charisma. But what I didn’t expect was that he was going to be such a great actor.”
Johnny based his character Jack Sparrow on Keith, 63, and was thrilled when the guitarist agreed to play Jack’s father Captain Teague.
He added: “The anticipation was mad and when he finally arrived he was like this gunslinger. He charmed all the women and impressed all the men, then split.”
Johnny and Keith were just two of the stars who wowed fans at the theme park premiere. The movies were inspired by the Disneyland ride of the same name.
Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley, who also star in the movie, also thrilled the crowds as they walked down the red carpet on Saturday (19.05.07) evening.
The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ films have become one of the most successful film franchises ever, with the second installment of the series taking over $1 billion worldwide.
‘At World’s End’ is one of the most expensive movies in Hollywood history, costing a reported $300 million.
The film is expected to be one of the most successful this summer and probably would take a new 1 or 2$ billion worldwide and it would make the fans go crazy again.

Heche’s husband says she is a bad mother

Anne Heche’s divorcing husband wants at least $33,000 a month in support and joint custody of the couple’s 5-year-old son, saying the 37-year-old actress is a bad mother.
In Superior Court filings this month, Coleman Laffoon says Heche has refused to allow their son, Homer, to be enrolled in a private kindergarten in Southern California and has said she wants the boy to move to Vancouver, Canada, where she spends part of the year filming.
In Vancouver, Heche leaves their son with a series of different nannies or her assistant in her trailer while filming, Laffoon said.
Heche’s “anger toward me has clouded her ability to think rationally about what is in Homer’s best interest,” said Laffoon, who wants Heche ordered to sign their son’s school paperwork.
Laffoon said Heche made some “very poor” parenting decisions in Vancouver, such as failing to provide a car safety seat for Homer and making lunches he didn’t like.
After one visit, she forgot to return Homer’s favorite shoes and “his bedtime stuffed animals, which are very important to him and which caused him extreme distress,” Laffoon said.
Laffoon and Heche were married in September 2001. He filed for divorce in February, citing irreconcilable differences.
Laffoon, a former freelance videographer who made $6,000 a year, said he didn’t work during the marriage. The couple agreed he would be a stay-at-home father because of his experience as a former nanny and summer camp counselor, his documents contend.

Britney’s Girls Night Out

There is no big secret in the fact that I never liked Britney Spears but I must say that I felt really sorry for her after the whole deal with Kevin. Her association with Paris Hilton hurt her popularity even more and now she does 15 minutes shows in night clubs so her career is not really going that good. At least her party habits are becoming better. She went out with two female pals, Alli and Jessica, to dine and dance stopping at Dominick’s in West Hollywood and then at the Les Deux club.
Onlookers said that Britney had a very good time and that everybody wanted to see her. She had so much fun that she even entered the DJ Booth at some point. The three gals left at around 3 AM.
In other news don’t forget that Britney Spears is set to perform in Mansion in Miami on May 20.

Hotel Heiress Paris Hilton was sentenced to a 45 days imprisonment and since then there has been a lot of debate as to whether or not she should serve the sentence or not. She is a party animal to the core and lives a night life that has seen her hog the headlines in the gossip columns of almost every magazine and newspaper. Now she is getting desperate to find a way out of the fix. She has repeatedly breached the laws and now the time has come to face the consequences. The party girl, 26, who is said to be living like a nun to avoid prison on 5 June, wore a white dress to attend a Catholic church in Beverly Hills as the countdown continues to her 45-day jail term starting next month, and then visited her ill father at Cedar Sinai hospital. Now can a few days spent attending the church and visit her ill father get her reprieve for the court. Hey, come we do not want to see the courts letting her of like this. In any case these celebrities are willing to do anything to enjoy their freedom. Once they are out of the jail, they shall be back to their ways again.

I think I killed her

If you’re looking for a smoking gun on the Phil Spector murder trial, he just took the stand last Tuesday. His driver on the night of the murder of Lana Clarkson, a Brazilian national, gave a fairly straight recount of the night’s events. He even went as far as saying that he saw some blood on Spector and that he said “I think I killed somebody.”

Really now, you think? Here was a guy that was earlier described by another witness as a generally angry guy that made indecent proposals, carried a .38 caliber gun and had blood on his hands. And just look at the guy. Does he look innocent to you? This trial has gone on for some years now and it’s shaping up like OJ. Everyone can pretty much vouch that he did it but they’re still taking so long. Let’s just all hope that it doesn’t end up like the OJ trial and the justice system lets another murderer out on the streets.

Court temporarily suspends warrant for Gere

India’s Supreme Court temporarily suspended on Tuesday an arrest warrant for actor Richard Gere, who was wanted for allegedly breaking public obscenity laws by kissing Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty.
Gere embraced and kissed Shetty on her cheek at a public AIDS awareness event in New Delhi last month, prompting Hindu hard-liners to allege the pair had offended the sensibilities of India’s traditionally conservative culture.
The case has grabbed headlines, although the allegations have failed to stir any wider outrage among Indians, most of whom have responded with either mocking bemusement or utter indifference.
Gere, 57, apologized for any offense he may have caused. But he also said the whole controversy was manufactured by a small hard-line political party.
Gere, who left shortly after the kiss, is a frequent visitor to India, promoting health issues and the cause of Tibetan exiles. The Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, has his headquarters in the northern Indian town of Dharmsala.
Shetty, a well-known actress in India, became an international star after her appearance on the British reality show “Celebrity Big Brother.”
A fellow contestant, Jade Goody, sparked international headlines by allegedly making racist comments to Shetty. The comments sparked public outrage in Britain and India and Shetty went on to win the competition.

Lindsay Lohan’s best holiday

Lindsay Lohan and Calum Best are enjoying a romantic Caribbean holiday together.
The young couple – who rekindled their romance just two weeks ago – were spotted canoodling on a secluded Bahamas beach after flying out for a VIP party at Paradise Island’s exclusive Atlantis resort.
The enamoured lovers frolicked in the surf and openly kissed in full view of holidaymakers.
Lindsay, 20, met the 26-year-old womanising model – the son of football legend George Best – in London last November, when she was hosting the World Music Awards.
The pair have since enjoyed an on-off romance and last week Lindsay invited Calum to the premiere of her latest movie ‘Georgia Rule’. The couple were spotted partying together in New York with the actress’ mother Dina.
Despite their public display of affection in the Bahamas, Calum’s spokesman does not think it will be a lasting relationship.
Dave Read said: “Calum and Lindsay get on really well together. But this is Calum. We’ll have to see.”
Lindsay and Calum both boast impressive lists of ex-lovers.
Calum has been linked to Kimberley Stewart, Elizabeth Jagger and Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding, while Lindsay is rumored to have enjoyed flings with James Blunt, Robbie Williams and Jamie Burke.
It will be interesting to watch the development of their relationship and how long would they be together. They are an impressive couple which deserves people’s attention.

Concert planned to build King Memorial

Big names are assembling, and all in the name of justice.  Quincy Jones and Tommy Hilfiger are among the celebs organizing the Dream Concert with the aim of raising enough money to put a memorial to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on the National Mall.  They’re already most of the way there.  They have raised $79 million of the $110 million required to build the monument.  That’s pretty impressive.

“I’m honored that such a diverse and committed group of leaders have come together for a concert to help raise the remaining funds,” said Harry Johnson, president and chief executive of the memorial fund. The concert will be held on September 18th at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.  Watch the news for the list of performers

Goodnight sweet Kate

Kate Webb, legendary documentary filmaker, died Sunday at the age of 64 in Syndey Australia.  The heroic woman was known for not only documenting atrocities in Asia, but becoming part of the story.  In 1971, she became caught up in the turbulence herself when she was ambushed and taken prisoner by North Vietnamese troops in Cambodia. She and the other captives were freed just as her family held a memorial service for her in Sydney. It was her images that gave a face to the Vietnam conflict, gave us a perspective of what the Southeast Asian people were dealing with.

A New Zealander by birth, Kate lived most of her life in Australia.  She was a wire journalist, since she preferred privacy over being in the spotlight.  Writers and journalists the world over mourn her, as do we.

Kylie Minogue denies affair

Kylie Minogue has slammed “offensive” accusations she is having an affair with a married man.
The 38-year-old singer vehemently denies she flew to Chile last week for a romantic liaison with South American director Alexander Dahm, 39, insisting the pair are just “good friends”. She said: “I have never been unfaithful to a partner and would find it completely immoral to be involved with a married man.”
Kylie – who has been staying at Dahm’s £1 million apartment in the idyllic province of Colchagua – insists the pair are working on a new film project.
In a posting on her website, she wrote: “I’m working on an idea for a new musical film. It’s very exciting for all the team involved. Just to whet your appetites, I had the pleasure of learning to tango from some of the South America’s best.
Dahm – whose wife Laura, who is eight months pregnant with their second child, has remained at the couple’s marital Mexico home – has also rubbished affair allegations.
He said: “I emphatically deny those rumors, they are total rubbish.”
Kylie – who has been single since splitting from Olivier Martinez in February – arrived in Chile last Wednesday (02.05.07).
The ‘Slow’ singer and filmmaker have since been seen enjoying a boat cruise and sharing a cosy meal at a beachside restaurant.
The pair became friends after meeting on Kylie’s bikini modelling shoot for H+M in Acapulco in January.

Pamela Anderson’s baby wish

Pamela Anderson wants to have another baby.
The 39-year-old actress, who recently visited a Russian orphanage, has revealed she is ready to extend her family now she is dating San Diego Chargers American footballer David Binn.
And Pammie – who has two sons, Dylan and Brandon, from her failed marriage to rocker Tommy Lee – hasn’t ruled out adoption.
She told Britain’s OK! magazine: “Would I be ready to adopt a child? I’m not saying it’s impossible. I have my two boys and it would just be so amazing to make one more kid happy in this life. David loves kids, he is very strong and at the same time very tender and I just love it.”
Last month, Pammie vowed to return to the Russian orphanage she visited after falling “in love” with the children.
The actress – who was in the country to co-host the MTV Russia Film Awards – said visiting the “inspiring” orphans was the highlight of the trip and really “opened her eyes”.
She said at the time: “I especially loved visiting an orphanage outside of Moscow. It was really eye opening – sad but inspiring to see these kids happy despite having nothing – really nothing, including parents. I’m going back to visit – I’m in love with them and their spirits.”

Leo’s basketball diaries

Leonardo DiCaprio should have done his homework when he built his basketball court on his estate.  The home set in the Hollywood Hills has a great view, but his neighbors aren’t too happy that his court is undermining their property.  Ronald and Joan Linclau are seeking at least $250,000 in damages for trespass, removal of lateral and subjacent support of land, and nuisance, according to court documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.  What it all means is that they want cash, and see Leo as a quick way to get it.

The couple states in their suit against Leo that they lost some plants during the construction of the basketball court.  I’m betting the plants didn’t cost a quarter of a million dollars.  Those are some rare petunias my friend!  Again it looks to be a case of people trying to take advantage of celebrities.  Such a shame.
