The family of Notorious B.I.G. sues Los Angeles

This is the second time they are starting such case alleging that the city police officers killed him 10 years ago. The suit filled on Tuesday seeks unspecified damages to widow, mother and two children of the raper.

Christopher Wallace known as Notorious B.I.G. was 24 when he was shot on March 9 1997 while leaving a party in Los Angeles. At this time he was really influential hip-hop singer.
The suit that B.I.G. relatives filled contends that Rafael Perez, his ex-partner Nino Durden and other police agents conspired to murder Wallace and the police department covered up their involvement.
Perez and Durden were at the heart of LAPD scandal involving abuses by members of a Rampart Division anti-gang squad. They have never been charged in connection with Wallace murder.
The Los Angeles Police Department did not have any comment about the suit.
“We don’t comment on law suits that are in litigation” Officer April Harding said Tuesday.
The rapper’s family filled such a similar lawsuit in federal court and than it was discovered that a police detective hid statements of a jail house informant who linked the murder of Wallace with Perez and former officer David Mack who also denied involvement.
