Sometimes ‘Blonde’ Doesn’t Have More Fun

Posted on Apr 30, 2007 under Celebrity, News | No Comment

blonde.jpgRecently Broadway welcomed a new musical, “Legally Blonde.” This one isn’t Reese Witherspoon in a bikini folks, but it have been if they had added music. The production cost a reportedly $12 million dollars to make, which is huge by Broadway standards. The writing itself is supposed to be pretty good, but the music is lame. I am still not sure if I am interested enough in this show to see it. I might send an in-law or something. Maybe a third cousin.

I am still amazed that this ever made it past the initial pitch. I can see that smoke-filled Broadway exec’s office, a large man in an even larger leather chair behind an imposing desk. The scriptwriter steps up and with a boyant smile proclaims “Legally Blonde, the Musical.” It sounds like a bad Saturday Night Live skit, only it’s true. If you decide to go see it, don’t expect a great deal. It’s a fun show they say, but not quite worth the ticket price.

Hugh Grant arrested for “beans attack”

Hugh Grant was arrested for allegedly throwing a container of baked beans at a photographer, London police said.

The Metropolitan Police doesn’t identify suspect but they said that a 46-year-old man was arrested Wednesday under suspicion of assault and released on bail. No charges have been filled the police revealed.

There was no comment from Grant’s representatives.

Photographer Ian Whittaker told the Daily Star tabloid that Grant has kicked him and shouted at him and then threw a packet of baked beans at him Tuesday morning.

The newspaper run photos of angry Hugh and holding plastic tub over his head.

It may turn out that the rumor is true and Hugh really threw a tantrum on this poor man.

Well he is a star and is surrounded by reporters. Maybe this reporter has broken the camel’s back and Hugh wasn’t able to control himself this time. Everyone can have such an outburst of temper so I think they must not judge him harsh.

Pamela Anderson Prepares to Be Sawn in Half

Pamela Anderson Prepares to Be Sawn in HalfPamela Anderson will be the newest guest star in Hans Klok’s new magic show, “The Beauty of Magic.” The show, which will run at the Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, originally had Carmen Elektra as the sultry assistant. However, Carmen backed out, for supposed scheduling conflicts. I think she just got cold feet.

Pamela jumped into the empty spot, giddy as a school girl. At a press conference at the Aladdin hotel she popped out of an empty box, revealed as Hans’ latest guest star. She has always wanted to be a Vegas showgirl. I guess Playboy model and actress just wasn’t enough. “My kids are going to love this,” she proclaimed, all smiles. Let’s just hope her clothes don’t disappear as well. Look for “The Beauty of Magic” to open June 8th.

Milla Jovovich to be a mother

She has confirmed the rumor that she is pregnant. Milla and her fiancée writer-and-director Peter Anderson are expecting their first child in autumn. The couple looks really happy and in their words they are “thrilled”.
The 31-year-old model and the 41-year-old-filmmaker who was the director of all three “Resident evil” films met on the set and from then on they are together.
Mila told: ”He got me an antique ring and he proposed four years ago but we broke up in between.”
Well it looks that after all they have decided to stay together and build a family.
The couple hasn’t announced a date for their wedding but Milla said that she has a friend who has a castle in Italy and she wants the ceremony to be there.
For Paul this would be a first marriage while Milla has a previous experience. She had married twice. Once in 1997 to Luc Besson and in 1992 when she was just 16 she married to Shawn Andrews.
I don’t know if this marriage would be more successful but they will have a baby and this is something that changes human’s life so maybe this would be the thing which will keep them together.

Tribeca Festival Opens with Gore

Tribeca Festival Opens with GoreThe Tribeca Film Festival began this evening with an opening gala filled with gore, Al Gore that is. He’s all about the environment these days (It’s my guess that he’s moved on since inventing the Internet) and so his speech was all about connecting the entertainment industry to the issue of global warming. Having starred in the film “An Inconvenient Truth,” Al knows a thing or two about the problem.

The six day Tribeca Film Festival was founded after the September 11th attacks on New York as a way to rejuvenate Lower Manhattan. This year they premiered nine films by Save Our Selves, all of them about the climate change crisis. It seems to me that this is the new fad amongst our celebrities. I’m just amazed at how many of them have bought it. Give them a couple years, and they will be harping on the eroding beaches in Zimbabwe or some such. I guess no one likes to stand alone in political activism, but it’s the same with drinking.

The family of Notorious B.I.G. sues Los Angeles

The family of Notorious B.I.G. sues Los Angeles

This is the second time they are starting such case alleging that the city police officers killed him 10 years ago. The suit filled on Tuesday seeks unspecified damages to widow, mother and two children of the raper.

Christopher Wallace known as Notorious B.I.G. was 24 when he was shot on March 9 1997 while leaving a party in Los Angeles. At this time he was really influential hip-hop singer.
The suit that B.I.G. relatives filled contends that Rafael Perez, his ex-partner Nino Durden and other police agents conspired to murder Wallace and the police department covered up their involvement.
Perez and Durden were at the heart of LAPD scandal involving abuses by members of a Rampart Division anti-gang squad. They have never been charged in connection with Wallace murder.
The Los Angeles Police Department did not have any comment about the suit.
“We don’t comment on law suits that are in litigation” Officer April Harding said Tuesday.
The rapper’s family filled such a similar lawsuit in federal court and than it was discovered that a police detective hid statements of a jail house informant who linked the murder of Wallace with Perez and former officer David Mack who also denied involvement.

The Shanna-Paris Catfight Goes Digital

The Shanna-Paris Catfight Goes Digital

Shanna Moaklar, party girl extraordinaire and Playboy model, has been feuding with Paris Hilton for a while now. But it all came to a head recently when she posted Paris’ and Lindsey Lohan’s contact info, including phone numbers and email, on her MySpace blog. Why take such a desperate leap at the Bitch of the Year Award? Because it happened to her. Harry Morton, ex-squeeze of Lindsey’s posted Shanna’s contact info on his site.
Shanna has since pulled the info off her site, and yesterday wrote in her blog “I have known Harry Morton for over 10 years and i highly respect him. I know for a fact he does NOT have a Myspace account and Nor did he write a blog about me.” Seems like she figured out her info was posted by one of those “hackers and whores” she mentions.

Katie Holmes wants Suri to study in Catholic school

katie-holmes.JPGKatie Holmes wants Suri to study in Catholic school

The actress who abandoned her own faith – Catholicism for her husband’s Tom Cruise and took his, weird for me, faith Scientology now insists that her daughter study in Catholic school. Recently it was reported that Katie has problems with her husband and maybe this is the cause for her wish. I don’t know if she would succeed in bringing her daughter to such school, bacause after she married Tom all the decisions in the family are taken by him.

Katie has now allegedly been secretly spoken to pastors about her child’s upbringing, and wants to enroll her one-year old daughter Suri into some classes when she is older to learn about the faith. It would be interesting to track down to what extent she would be able to accomplish her decision.

Along with that Katie is said to get back in touch with her childhood friends. One of them is her friend Meghan Birie who she hasn’t seen for almost two years.

It’s quite clear to me that Katie is trying to get out from Camp Cruise and wants to get her old friends back. It’s not bad to want to keep in touch with your friends but I wonder what result would have this on Katie’s relationship with her husband. I can smell problems and maybe divorce, who knows. After all nobody can live in cage without having his own faith in his hands.

Estrada’s Stellar Day

Estrada’s Stellar Day

Today Eric Estrada got his name imprinted on a star, only this time it wasn’t a CHiPs badge. Eric became the 2336th recipient of a star on the walk of fame. For a long while I’ve thought that his greatest contribution to television was his hair, since so many men across the country copied his wavy locks in the 70’s and 80’s. I guess his smile’s not bad too. Eric accepted his honor flanked by members of the real CHP: California Highway Patrol for you laymen out there.

The coolest part of the story is that Eric, in addition to getting a star on the Walk of Fame recently became an actual police officer. He’s wanted to be a cop since he was a kid, part of why the CHiPs role appealed so much to him. But recently he enrolled as a reserve officer for the Muncie, Indiana Police Department. How cool is that? Not only did he get a chance to be an actor, but he also got to become what he was portraying on television. Talk about getting into a role.

David Beckham showing his love for Victoria

The soccer superstar surprised his wife Victoria for her 33rd birthday with an overnight trip to Paris spending $50000 on a private jet and arranging private fitting with her favorite dress and shoe designers.

However Victoria thought her 33rd birthday would be just an ordinary day going to a Chinese restaurant with her husband and their three kids. She was wrong.

When she woke up David asked her to get in the car-he had already packed a bag full of Victoria’s favorite clothes and he has even a pair of white skinny jeans from her new collection that even Victoria hasn’t seen.

When they arrived in Paris Becks took Victoria to her favorite shops in the French capital and made her presents for more than $20 000.

He had booked a room at the luxurious Paris Ritz hotel and had ordered the whole room to be filed with Victoria’s favorite flowers and champagne.

The couple spent the evening at the Guy Savoy Restaurant which Becks has reserved just for them and they had a romantic private dinner. How romantic. I wonder what it would be if everyone could have such 33rd birthday.

Gere’s Kissing up to Bollywood

Gere’s Kissing up to Bollywood

Who knew so much could be made out of one little kiss?  A lot could be made of it, if it were a kiss, say, in a public place in India.  When Richard Gere smacked his lips on Shilpa Shetty’s cheek, people were outraged.  Evidently Indian society is very prudish these days despite their slow pull from third-world country status.  So many people are outraged that Ricky boy and poor Shilpa are getting sued by no less than three lawyers.  Kissing a woman in public is obscene according to the suit.

Come on now.  It is alright to watch all sorts of depraved sexual acts on television but you can’t kiss someone in the street?  You invented the Kama Sutra for heaven’s sake.  This is so ludicrous it’s hilarious.  There are many beautiful traditions in Indian culture, and those should most definitely be cherish and passed down to future generations.  But insane prudishness is NOT one of them.  It’s 2007 people, time to get with the program.

Angelina Jolie neglecting her daughter

Posted on Apr 19, 2007 under Celebrity, News | No Comment

angelina-jolie-neglecting-her-daughter-2.jpg

Friends close to Angelina and Brad said that she was constantly neglecting her daughter in favor of her adopted child – five year Cambodian son Madox, three year old Vietnamese son Pax and two year old Ethiopian daughter Zahara.

The source also says that Brad is the one who is caring for Shiloh and Angie doesn’t even feed her daughter or rock her to sleep. Brad is the person who gets up in the middle of the night with her.

Brad was stunned from another reaction of Jolie – when returning with her new adopted Vietnamese child Pax she refused to hold her daughter even for a while telling Brad “She’s fine with you”.

I wonder why Angie is neglecting her own child for the kids she has adopted. It would be interesting to see how much time Brad will bear this situation because he has waited to have a kid for so long and now his wife doesn’t want to look after their child. That’s an interesting situation, don’t you think?

J. Lo and the Low Down Tabloid

Posted on Apr 18, 2007 under Celebrity, News, Rumor | No Comment

jenniferlopezOkay, so first of all, are they Markifer or Jennimark? In any case, J. Lo and hubby Mark Antony are steaming after some pretty nasty articles were printed in the Enquirer. Evidently the European version of the Enquirer was trying to link the couple to drug scandals in Ireland. The allegations were inflammatory enough that Markifer felt they needed to file suit in Belfast. Good for them.

I know the tabloids love to say it’s all in the name of entertainment, but I can’t think how entertaining it is to lie to the public and destroy people’s lives in the process. What ever happened to the days of aliens giving birth to cloned sheep babies? I much prefer the claims that Nostradamus predicted the Iraqi conflict than stories about how horrible celebrities are. Honestly, they are people too, people who just happen to have jobs in the spotlight. Would any of us want our lives tacked up on the supermarket isles for everyone to read?

Mel B having problems with Edie Murphy

Mel B has become mother for the second time. She gave birth to her child on 3 April. She had argues with her previous boyfriend – Eddie Murphy about who the father of this baby is. He denied being the father despite his relationship with Mel up to December when they broke up, but at this time she was already pregnant. Despite this fact he is certain that this baby is not his. However, Mel B put down in her kid’s birth certificate Edie Murphy as the father. After all Mel B is the mother of this child and she knows better…

Some times I wonder, how such wonderful thing like the birth of one baby can end up with so much arguing about who the father is. I don’t know if Mel B or Eddie Murphy is telling the truth and I don’t care. I just hope the kid will know who his father is.

Julia Roberts is returning at last

She hasn’t acted after she gave birth to her twins. She wanted to be close to her children and for that reason we haven’t seen her in a movie for two years now. She proved that she is really a good mother and didn’t leave her children even for a moment. But now it’s time for her to make her fans happy with her returning.

Julia will take part in the movie “The Friday Night Knitting Factory”, where she will act as a single mother. The film is based on the book of Caitlin Jacobs. This is a story for a single mother and her strains to have a business and to give good education to her daughter.

Maybe this is the best role for her because she is now a mother and knows how difficult is to raise your children nowadays so it wouldn’t be hard for her to play this part.

Snoop Dogg-the bad boy in American hip-hop

Snoop Dogg has become notorious with his often problems with the police. This one is no exception. Some days ago he was accused of possession of drugs and firearms.

This is not his first accusation so he and his fans are used to them. But this notorious glory made the British authorities not to let him enter the country and have concerts.

I wonder, why don’t they arrest him and let him serve the sentence he deserves. May be this will help him realize his mistake. Sometimes it’s better to see the bad side of the things to understand that you have done something wrong which is not approved by the society. I hope the authorities will take the best decision in this case.

LaBeouf to Star in New `Indiana Jones’

Posted on Apr 13, 2007 under Movies, News | No Comment

shia-labeouf.jpgAfter months of building Internet buzz, this can finally be reported as fact: Shia LaBeouf has been cast in the upcoming “Indiana Jones” movie.

Producer George Lucas and director Steven Spielberg announced Friday that LaBeouf will appear alongside Harrison Ford in the fourth installment of the adventure franchise, scheduled for release May 22, 2008. Production is set to begin in June.

“We are excited about bringing Shia into our Indy family,” Spielberg said in a statement on the “Indiana Jones” Web site. “His talent has impressed not only his audiences throughout his young career but the directors, producers and fellow actors who have worked with him in his television career and now his film career.”

Paramount, a division of Viacom Inc., declined Friday to say what role LaBeouf would be playing.

The 20-year-old actor told The Associated Press in March that the persistent Internet rumors about his casting in the film were just that rumors.

“The way that thing started, it’s just wild how it snowballed,” LaBeouf told the AP then. “I don’t have a deal on the table, it’s just a rumor. Would I do it? In a second. It’d be working for a legend and working with legends. Who wouldn’t? But is it something I’m doing right now? No. I’m an out-of-work actor.”

It’s a busy weekend for the up-and-coming actor. He stars in “Disturbia,” a high-tech, teen version of “Rear Window,” which opened Friday; then he’s hosting NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” on Saturday.

LaBeouf also co-stars in this summer’s “Transformers” movie for Spielberg’s DreamWorks Pictures, and provides the voice of one of the penguins in the animated “Surf’s Up.” His previous films include “A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints,” “The Greatest Game Ever Played” and “Holes.” He also won a Daytime Emmy in 2003 for the Disney Channel series “Even Stevens.”

The Ghost in Spector’s Past

Posted on Apr 12, 2007 under News, Pictures, Thumb Down | No Comment

paul-spector.jpgI don’t really know who Paul Spector is, but I do know good Hollywood Drama when I see it. It seems Pauly boy had a genius. He created something called the “Wall of Sound” which changed the was rock music was written. Great stuff, if you know what it means. What I know about Paul Spector is that he killed Lana Clarkson (No relation to Kelly, really) in 2003. But in the way of all Los Angeles court cases, they are just getting around to trial.

He shot her. He admits he shot her, and yet he calls in an accident. Brilliant. Today in court his lawyers are trying to say the blond bombshell (she was even in the running to play Marilyn Monroe, if you get any idea) was depressed to the point of suicide. A lot of this has to do with the coroner’s findings that she had gun residue on her hands. But hey, if someone points a gun at me, I figure I’m going to raise my hands in defense, right? So I think it’s all a load of tripe trying to get this guy off. The prosecution isn’t happy about them trying to destroy Lana’s personality, and I’m with them. Leave the poor girl in piece. Hasn’t she already been through enough?
