Aston Merrygold’s rude girl fans

Posted on Mar 18, 2010 under Music, Music Artist | 1 Comment

It looks like JLS are really feeling the not so nice perks of being such a popular boy band, and Aston Merrygold is here to tell how this can happen. The singer from JLS is here to tell us how this can be: “We might get a bottle of champagne between us, and some girls feel that because they’re pretty they can just walk over, pick up the bottle, and pour themselves a glass! Many a time I’ll say seriously, ‘Put the bottle down!’ Then they’ll tell me that I’m rude.” These boy band fans are really getting more and more unruly, aren’t they? Maybe Aston Merrygold shoul propose to JLS that they punish them somehow… stop selling albums or something. That will teach them!

Liam Hemsworth to ask Miley Cyrus to endorse Oz kids charity

Posted on Mar 18, 2010 under Miley Cyrus aka Hannah Montana | No Comment

Liam Hemsworth plans to get teen superstar Miley Cyrus involved with a crusade to help Australian children.

The Herald Sun reports Hemsworth plans to invite his girlfriend to join him as an ambassador for the Australian Childhood Foundation (ACF) when he returns to Los Angeles next week.

The actor said: “I think she would [join], I will speak to her, but I don’t see why not, she supports a whole bunch of good charities.”

Cyrus spoke out about the relationship last week after keeping it under wraps for months – despite their sighting at a Phillip Island music festival over New Year’s. They also graced the Oscars, she as a presenter and he as a guest at the Elton John viewing party.

The ACF states on its website it is a “not for profit organisation that works tirelessly to support children and families devastated by abuse, family violence and neglect”.

Hemsworth, 19, said: “The ACF is something I feel very passionately about. My dad has worked for them for 20 years and it’s something I really believe in. The world is a scary enough place as it is and the home is one place where kids should feel safe and comfortable.”

Cheryl Cole on US X Factor

Posted on Mar 17, 2010 under Girls Aloud, Simon Cowell, X Factor | 3 Comments

Simon Cowell reportedly wants Cheryl Cole to be a judge on the US version of the X Factor, saying “I’d love to have Cheryl on the show. We have great chemistry. Cheryl’s a natural star. People can’t help but warm to her.” And wouldn’t you know it? The Girls Aloud singer is accepting the offer. An insider reveals “Simon thinks America will fall in love with Cheryl, just like Britain has. She has a unique talent for winning everybody over. She gets involved emotionally with her acts, whereas the other judges don’t. She is incredibly passionate, genuine and caring and he knows he needs a judge like that on the line-up. Simon also loves that Cheryl isn’t afraid to stand up to him on the show. He knows their banter will be a massive hit with American audiences. Not only does he want her on American X Factor but he wants her to be sat on the much sought-after seat directly next to him.”

Lady GaGa is not appreciated in all circles

Posted on Mar 16, 2010 under Lady Gaga, Video | 2 Comments

It appears that some are not so easily amazed by what Lady GaGa always brings to the table in matters of music and music videos. Famous director and filmmaker Michel Gondry recently commented on the pop star’s work. This is part of what he had to say: “And I don’t see it. Her melodies are very conventional. I remember when my friend and I would argue about Killing Joke. I remember him saying, ‘It’s so great!’ But I said, ‘It’s so conventional! How can you find anything original? It’s just surface!’ I don’t know, maybe the comparison is ridiculous. But the melody was very, very flat. That’s probably why they are famous. But maybe it’s considered high art just because of the way she dresses?” He might’ve hit the nail on the button there… of course it wouldn’t have hurt to mention the “sex is art” philosophy and all of the penis-related complexes, but Michel Gondry seems to be right about Lady GaGa.

Bret Michaels digs Miley Cyrus

Posted on Mar 16, 2010 under Miley Cyrus aka Hannah Montana, Twitter | 6 Comments

And he does so because of her attitude and nothing else. This is what Bret Michaels had to say about Miley Cyrus: “Does she stir shit up? No. What I think that she does is she doesn’t take any shit. I love that about her. I’ve seen it. I’ve seen people come at her, come at me, and we’re both the same. I set them straight. A lot of times when you live in that Hollywood limelight, speaking your piece or doing your thing is organic and more controversial than people trying to be controversial.” Bret Michaels sure does have a point there… doubtless we all remember Miley Cyrus’ twitter episode from a few months back. Some might still wonder if that poor cat ever escaped its horrible fate…

Take That Member Admits to Affairs

Posted on Mar 16, 2010 under Divorce, Singers | 1 Comment

Mark Owen, a member of the band Take That, has come forward late last week and publicly admitted to having up to ten affairs on his wife, Emma Ferguson. The couple has two kids together. I’m starting to think that people are using multiple affairs for publicity now. However, either the singer is attempting to get media attention, Emma has a firm hold on his balls or maybe he actually has remorse because Mark sounds like he really feels terrible about the affairs. He said “It’s about me, my mistakes. Nobody else is to blame. I don’t know how many girls there were in all. Maybe ten. I have been living with the guilt. It has always been there – you carry it around with you. It held me back in my relationship with Emma. I wouldn’t have done any of this if I had my time again. I am halfway through my life now and this, in a way, is a lesson…You realize what you have done when you face up to it and the mistakes you have made… I feel like I have let everyone down.” What do you think?

Kylie Minogue getting ready to spoil the baby

Posted on Mar 15, 2010 under Kylie Minogue | 2 Comments

But it’s not her baby she’ll be spoiling, what mother in her right mind would do that? However, when it comes to her sister, Danny Minogue’s baby, well there Kylie Minogue is going to be all of the aunt that she can be… and she hopes her new album will sell well so that she doesn’t have to cut back on anything. This is what Kylie Minogue said on the matter: “I haven’t bought anything yet but trust me, I will be. My album better sell because I will be getting so much stuff. I am so excited.” Nothing like having a reason to get all trigger-happy about shopping is there? Just wait until Kylie Minogue hits all of those wonderful baby stores… her sister is probably going to hate her forever.

Jessica Simpson goes against Howard Stern

Posted on Mar 15, 2010 under Jessica Simpson | 2 Comments

The radio show host apparently got Jessica Simpson on his back due to his comments about Gabourey Sidibe, the Academy Award nominee from the movie “Precious”. This is what Jessica Simpson had to say about Howard Stern’s nasty comments: “I’m actually surprised somebody had the cojones to say that. I just think that’s really disrespectful. It’s unfortunate because she walked the red carpet at the Oscars and she owned it. She was beautiful. There was no denying that she did not think she was the most beautiful person on that red carpet. She was just owning that moment for herself. She had such confidence and I absolutely 100 percent think she could get anything in the world that she wants.” This is all nice and dandy and Jessica Simpson actually may have a point here, but there is one small thing to point out: when you criticize somebody for something they said… you don’t use the phrase “have the cojones”… that implies you kind of admire their courage. Surely that is not the message Jessica Simpson is trying to convey.

Justin Timberlake and Vegas

Posted on Mar 13, 2010 under Justin Timberlake | 1 Comment

It looks like the singer sure knows how to make the best of his time in Las Vegas. Even though he is technically still in a relationship with Jessica Biel and he was at some point Rihanna’s secret fling, there’s no stopping Justin Timberlake when it comes to partying in Las Vegas. During one of his more recent wild nights, the singer was apparently spotted flirting with two dancers. Sources also claim that late into the night the singer took both the blonde and the brunette with him to his hotel room for champagne. It definitely looks like Justin Timberlake is out of the question for anybody else these days.

Robert Pattinson turning to music

Posted on Mar 12, 2010 under Jennifer Lopez, Robert Pattinson | No Comment

The famous “Twilight” actor is apparently thinking about getting himself a little musical career of his own since he’s famous and all. However, Robert Pattinson is having trouble balancing two careers at the same time, as he relates: “I want to do an album at the end of the year. All my friends are recording albums and I’m very annoyed about it. I can play the guitar and piano, but I can’t do two things at once. I don’t know how people like Jennifer Lopez can act and then also sing. Hopefully I’ll find some time to get it together.” So it is peer pressure that’s determining Robert Pattinson to go into music… and here one would’ve thought it was the fact that he could pick up a larger number of female fans that way. Too bad he’s not planning to be a bassist… he would probably make history.

Abbie Cornish has nothing but praise for Madonna

Posted on Mar 12, 2010 under Featured, Madonna, Movies | No Comment

Actress Abbie Cornish has nothing but praise for Madonna as they prepare to make a new movie together.

Madonna, 51, is directing a new film about the abdication of Edward VIII, which will star Cornish and Vera Farmiga.

Talking about Madonna, Cornish said: “Madonna’s a strong, independent woman who doesn’t need a man to define her – and that’s admirable.”

She added: “She’s studied every aspect of what happened with Wallis Simpson and Edward VIII. It’s a fascinating insight into class and romance.

“Madonna’s created a contemporary woman – whom I will play – called Wally, who is fascinated by what happened to Mrs Simpson, and in a way, her story mirrors certain aspects of what happened decades before.”

Robbie Williams Talks Drugs

Posted on Mar 12, 2010 under Drugs, Robbie Williams | No Comment

Robbie Williams was recently interview in the Radio Times Williams where the singer spoke about drugs, specifically, smoking pot. He said “Have a look at [me] last year. Yep. Year of the Munchie 2009. Weed, it’s such a lovely drug. It is such a lovely drug. But it doesn’t mix well with me – at all. It doesn’t take much to trigger – I mean, I’ll get psychosis from having this cup of tea! Seriously. The caffeine in that is enough. A cup of tea will make me feel like shit. But it’s just a shame about weed, because I did love it.” There is naturally and outcry against Robbie for his comments especially since his new track ‘Morning Sun’ was chosen as the official Sport Relief song, a charity that raises money for the disadvantaged including people affected by drug abuse.

Mark Owen’s amazing affair string

Posted on Mar 11, 2010 under Tiger Woods | 1 Comment

It seems that Tiger Woods isn’t the only professional cheater around. Mark Owen from Take That recently admitted that he too has had his fair share of wild nights and affairs even though he married his long-time girlfriend, Emma Ferguson, last November. This is what Mark Owen said about his wild streak: “She loves me and I let her down. I’m really sorry. I have been an idiot, a dickhead. All of the above and more. It’s about me, my mistakes. Nobody else is to blame. I don’t know how many girls there were in all. Maybe 10.” Well, he’s no Tiger Woods, but there is always room for improvement. Too bad Mark Owen had to ruin it all by confessing… damned be the guilt.

Dwight Yoakam Owes the Government

Posted on Mar 11, 2010 under Singers | No Comment

Why is it that the people who have more money never pay their taxes? The IRS filed a lien against country singer Dwight Yoakam in late January for a delinquent $458,000 tax bill. The celebrity has yet to comment about this as I’m pretty sure that he’s busy looking for half a million dollars to pay off that debt. How do these people forget that they have to pay their bills? Don’t they have accountants and assistants to remind them of these things? I wish him the best of luck in finding that money. If he hasn’t paid his taxes for it to amount to that, I’m sure it’s just lying around somewhere.

Michael Jackson the playboy

Posted on Mar 10, 2010 under Michael Jackson | 4 Comments

Since there’s hasn’t been anything of novelty about the late king of pop for quite some time, his bodyguards decided to rile things up a bit and related to the world about how much a ladies’ man Michael Jackson was. This is what one of the protectors of the late singer related: “He had desires of women like we do. He had lovers. In the cars that we had, we had a curtain that covered the back seat. You couldn’t see in the back seat. They talked back there; they didn’t do nothing out of bounds. You could hear the kissing.” Strange, that actually makes Michael Jackson sound more… human. It cannot be true! It is a lie! He was a God and his former bodyguards should be burnt on the stake for failing to protect him against death!

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are deep people

Posted on Mar 10, 2010 under Miley Cyrus aka Hannah Montana, Oscar Awards | 1 Comment

It looks like it didn’t take Miley Cyrus too long to get ahead of herself… and she’s dragged her boyfriend in it too. This is what Miley Cyrus said at an Oscar after party, speaking on behalf of both herself and Liam Hemsworth: “I think we’re both deeper than normal people–what they think and how they feel. He’s very grateful for what he has, but he doesn’t let it go to his head. I’m like that too…He’s a really freaking good actor is what he is. And he’s cute–so he’s got that.” Those qualities really make for being deeper than anybody else: being cute and a good actor. Why, those poor homeless saps that have lost everything in the flicker of a moment have good nothing on Miley Cyrus and her cute boyfriend.

Katy Perry is a Smurf

Posted on Mar 09, 2010 under Katy Perry | No Comment

Katy Perry will be lending her voice to the new live action/CGI ‘Smurfs’ movie as the only little blue lady of the bunch, Smurfette. The singer will be voicing the little blue people alongside such talents like Alan Cumming, George Lopez, Jonathan Winters and Neil Patrick Harris. If this was any other movie than the ‘Smurfs’, I would be really excited. As of now, I’m only about a third of the way there. I’m excited for the fact that Katy will be voicing Smurfette though. But then again, she can’t say anything naughty since it’s likely a kids’ movie. I want a naughty Smurfette.

Jeremy Renner denies he hit on Jessica Simpson

Posted on Mar 09, 2010 under Academy Awards, Actors, Featured, Jessica Simpson, Oscar Awards, Oscar Winner | No Comment

The Hurt Locker actor Jeremy Renner has denied reports that he recently hit on Jessica Simpson.

Renner, 39, was at a cocktail party for the Oscar-winning movie at Madonna manager Guy Oseary’s house in LA.

It was reported in the US that he had “spent the night hitting on Jessica like crazy” but he has dismissed these claims.

Renner said that he only saw Simpson, 29, for “three minutes” at the party and the rumours aren’t true.

He said to UsMagazine.com: “Her hair stylist [Ken Paves] did my mum’s hair so we were talking about that – and then all of a sudden we’re dating!”

Whitney Houston Dedicates Concert to Daughter

Posted on Mar 08, 2010 under Concert, Whitney Houston | 2 Comments

Despite reports that the diva couldn’t handle the workload of her ‘Nothing but Love’ tour, Whitney Houston is apparently back on her game in Australia and being a wonderful mom to boot. During her Wednesday concert, the singer announced that it was her daughter Bobbi Kristina’s 17th birthday and dedicated the song ‘Who Would Imagine a King’ to her. A source said “[It's] one of Krissy’s favorites, and is not in the show.” Whitney then got her daughter and a cake on stage and sang ‘Happy Birthday’ along with the audience. Isn’t that sweet? Kudos to Whitney for thinking up a great surprise and actually doing a good show.

Armed police rush to Jackson estate after burglary call

Posted on Mar 08, 2010 under Michael Jackson | No Comment

Armed cops swarmed around the Jackson family estate in Los Angeles following an emergency burglary call.

At least five officers with guns entered through the front gate of the LA compound while a police helicopter circled overheard.

According to a report on TMZ.com, cops were responding to a burglary in progress call from inside the house. But it turned out the call was false. And cops left a short time later.

There was no word on which Jacksons were inside the house in Encino at the time.

But it was the end of a crazy week at the home after the Jackson family were visited several time by LA County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) investigators.

DCFS officials have been interviewing family members all week over reports that Jermaine Jackson’s son Jafaar bought a stun gun online and allegedly tried to stun his cousin and Michael Jackson’s son Blanket with it.
